Default Serebii's Pokémon Shuffle Discovery Thread

The new game, Pokémon Shuffle, is out on the eShop in Japan tomorrow, and as usual we will be covering the game in full.

This thread will have all the minor things I discover as playing through the game, which may not necessarily warrant posting directly on the site, though keep an eye there too

Discuss what is found here: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthr...le-Discoveries

Starts off with a tutorial. The capture chance is based upon the amount of turns you have left at the end of the stage

You get given a gem to replenish your hearts to 5. The timer always stops at 5 so you can't reaccumulate hearts overnight to get massive amounts

Pricing structure has changed a little to how it was in the first trailer

    5 Hearts = 1 Gem
    18 Hearts = 3 Gems
    38 Hearts = 6 Gems
    80 Hearts = 12 Gems

    3000 Coins = 1 Gem
    10000 Coins = 3 Gems
    22000 Coins = 6 Gems
    48000 Coins = 12 Gems

A special guard has been added to the shop for 1500 coins that lets you block against attacks (they make blocks in the field you need to remove)

It's just prompted me to download some data. I just got 500 Coins as a check-in bonus. Probably a daily bonus akin to other games.

There's a special event involving Mew live until 15:00 JST on March 9th. A special option just opened up for it.

Beating Stage 12 unlocked the Extra courses 1, 2 & 3 featuring Absol, Rotom and Lucario. These are timed rather than turn-based

Starting to get to the point where Pokémon are no longer guaranteed capture. This game will take a while, clearly.

Ok. Here's the nitty gritty. There are price reductions

    1 Gem = 100 Yen
    6 Gems (5+1) = 500 Yen
    12 Gems (9+3) = 950 Yen
    35 Gems (25+10) = 2500 Yen
    75 Gems (48+27) = 4800 Yen

This shows that there's definitely some savings going on if you buy in bulk, as expected.

It also never lets you spend more than 10,000 Yen a day

Personal note: The pricing scheme and random nature of capture really makes me dislike this game somewhat, and it's sad because it's a solid puzzler.. It adds an un-necessary sense of worry/panic, and when a 90% chance capture gets away, it's really gutting
