I have it Champ.

Its difficult at some points you just need to try try and try again I didnt find it all that difficult. Final boss is the only place I have any problems now when I play it

Super Mario Sunshine. I have never played such a challenging Nintendo game, and that's partly why I love it.

I think the Sand Bird and the Electric Manta Ray reduced me to tears.

Yeah, those too, but I think that goes without saying. It was sort of like early Galaxy-esque gameplay but with horrible perspective.

And no extra jump. Those F.L.U.D.D.less sections convinced me that without that extra jump in Galaxy, I would suck.

Tell us more about how difficult you found a rhythm tool with no real challenge, no plot, no enemies, and no ending.

Anyway, Super Meat Boy is a bitch. The last few chapters of Portal 2 were also pretty hard, but they were manageable.

When I was younger, it had to be fightbox. My God, there was no end to that game and I could never advance to further rounds, regardless of how strong my competitor was. San Andreas was hard when it first came out, at least to clock everything else aside from the story, without cheats of course.

What skills do you need? Quick thinking and good hand-eye coordination. Or if you really wanted to, you could buy a walkthrough book or find a walkthrough on the internet or do cheats, as well as getting someone else to clock the one final part of a game for you.

Some games I found to be pretty hard:
Dead Rising: when you first start, mostly. After you get stronger you can carry more food and you have more health, so it's not nearly as hard.
God of War 2 on titan difficulty: at pretty much any given point in the game you can have a crazy hard fight, whether it's a boss or a group of enemies. Some that come to mind are: the fight against the Collosus (of Rhodes, yes), the fight against Theseus, the fight against the warlord on the horse, the fight against the Cerberus that eats the Golden Fleese (sp?), the two Cerberus that spit out baby Cerberus, the gauntlet of enemies before the final sister of fate, and battle with Zeus, of course.
CoD: WaW on Veteran: you can die from gunshots so quickly, and you get pelted with grenades all the time (one-hit kills). You can throw them back, but if there's 3 or 4 at once you're probably dead. They really make you fight for every step forward. Over them all stands 'Heart of the Reich', the second to last campaign level. The final approach to the Reichstag is one of the hardest things I've ever done.

With every playthrough it gets WAY harder.
1st Playthrough. Its already hard enough.
2nd playthrough is 40% harder
3rd gets even harder
4. Way way way way harder
5. Your going to visit satan soon.

I've been thinking about playing that possibly. Why does it get harder for each playthrough?

And just to get it out before someone else does: Gears of War 1. Remember RAAM?

I didn't really find that game horrible except for that battle on Insane. I eventually resorted to that block trick.

I could say that Dead Space 2 is a hard game because the Hardcore achievement says to beat it on the hardest difficulty using only 3 saves.

Wow no Devil May Cry post yet? 1 and 3 were ridiculously hard. Even on easy mode, if you mess up you die.

Don't even mention Dante Must Die mode urg. I must have spent over 200 hours on DMC:3 trying to beat the harder modes and trying to perfect my style and timings.

World at War pretty much spawns grenades at your feet, often three at a time. I think it's due to the sheer frustration that you face from easy deaths that the game seems so incredibly hard.

Oh man, I bought Devil May Cry 1. I'm at the level right after the lava spider and haven't played since because I suck so much.

For me the hardest games that I ever played is Ninja Gaiden and Mortal Kombat, I don't know which MK game but even the novice difficulty makes combo attacks that don't let you do nothing.

F-Zero GX on the hardest difficulties remains the toughest game I've ever beaten. Punch-Out!! can be pretty brutal, though.

Doom & Doom 2 on Nightmare! difficulty. For those of you that don't know, enemies not only damage you more then any other difficulty, but respawn about every 30 seconds. You have to be ridiculously accurate and fast to make it through. Although I'm only guessing at that, since I've completed almost no levels on Nightmare!

Bah, I died on Hardcore once. Right before the disc swap too. Didn't get Severed.

I think I died 4 or 5 times (I wasn't using any extra armor, though). The first was in the decomp window room in chapter 9. I swear it was totally bogus- I think I got one-hit killed by an enhanced slasher at full health. I'd been planning to save at the start of the Ishimura, so thank god for the disc swap thing, or I'd probably have thrown the game out the window. (I died again in that room after hitting an exploder sac and breaking the window, on the Ishimura by the first Brute, and I think once on the drill and I ran into Nicole in the final fight.)

lol at myself. Getting to my first save point did take awhile though, because I played through the first disc, then played the second disc up to the start of chapter 9 3 times. I guess that'd be sort of like playing through the whole game in one sitting.
