During her long years there, she made a bond with a Swinub, a ground-ice piggy with a quiet, mischeivous personality. They often battled, ate and attended school trips as a team. Seeing as she was an unpopular girl despite her intelligence and charisma, he was her closest friend, and they've shared many emotional moments together.

On her eighteenth birthday, Alice finally took the plunge and decided to leave home for good. As a leaving gift, the staff that she sometimes assisted gifted her Swinub as her starter Pokemon, knowing that he would be sad if she left him behind. Due to her spoiled and anxious attitude, their adventures tend to be random and tragic, and involve crybaby tears or inappropriate, heeled footwear.
