pokefan#493: Get your word processor ready, because I dare you to write a Bustershipping fanfic (Iris and Georgia)! The premise: Iris tries to hide her relationship with Georgia from Drayden, who figured it out a long time ago but is too amused by his apprentice's excuses to say anything.
Bleh, I haven't written anything in a long time, so sorry if it sucks. ;_;

Iris sighed with worry, her mind racing with a jumble of thoughts bombarding her constantly. She was in the gym after having come back from a date with her ex-rival, Georgia. She knew the implications behind having a relationship with another female. The possible discrimination and ridicule directed towards her and her partner, from outsiders who could not accept such “wrong” deeds, scared her. She was young, wild, and ambitious; Georgia was sharp, sarcastic, and had a short temper. Iris did not believe her relationship with Georgia was going to always be perfect – rather, she knew there would be numerous bumps on the road in their future. She had it set in stone, however, that nothing would get in her way or block her path towards having a happy, long lasting relationship with her love interest.
It was her mentor she was afraid of, truthfully.
Drayden was a strong, powerful man despite his age. White hair and a thick white beard covered a majority of his head, and he constantly held a sharp and intense gaze which many often mistook for a glare. He was an intimidating man alright, but Iris knew better. Behind his seemingly cold, hard exterior was a fine gentleman who was willing to help a stranger in need and treated his apprentices as if they were his own family.
Drayden, however, never really was impressed by Iris’s friend Georgia (or so she thought). That was what worried her the most.
“Iris!” The deep, baritone voice startled the purple-haired girl. She swirled around with wide eyes to see her mentor, Drayden, approach her with a friendly smile.
Did he witness her giving Georgia her goodbye kiss?
“Oh, u-um, hello Drayden!” she stammered nervously. Oh Arceus please tell me he didn’t see that, please tell me he didn’t see that…! She looked everywhere except at Drayden, fearing her eyes would give away her anxiety in a heartbeat.
Drayden smiled, amused at her pitiful attempts at hiding her relationship with Georgia. Truth be told, he had always known those two felt something special towards each other. They may have argued and may have shared some bitter feelings in the past, but he did not fail to notice the lingering gazes, the discreet and soft touches, the comfortable atmosphere that seemed to always wrap around those two when no words were spoken. He may have been an old geezer, but he had enough experience to know when two people were in love. Although he did not agree with Georgia’s goal to battle and defeat all Dragon type Trainers in Unova, just because she had bad blood with one Pokemon before, he knew not to let such feelings override his positive ones from seeing his young apprentice enjoy her life to its fullest, even if it was with someone of the same gender.
Although he planned on assuring her that he was not bothered in the least about her love interest, it was still fun seeing Iris get so flustered.
“So, Iris, who was that just now, hm?” he asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“That was, um, Georgia,” she replied. She was practically sweating bullets by then.
“Oh? So what were you two up to on this fine day in Opelucid City? Were you two perhaps…” He trailed off, never lifting his gaze off from her. Her constantly changing facial expressions were just too damn hilarious! He was having a hard time not showing his amusement on his face.
“W-we were looking for a rare phantom Pokemon!” A poor excuse. Oh Arceus, oh arceus…! What if he finds out? What if he doesn’t accept my relationship with Georgia and becomes ashamed of me and revokes my apprenticeship and and and—!
“…Phantom Pokemon? Here, in Opelucid City? Not in a neighboring route or cave?”
“Yeah, yeah! We heard this particular Pokemon liked populated cities and liked to play with people often and um…”
“Then it wouldn’t be considered rare, now would it.” He stated this as a fact, not a question.
“…”
“…”
He sighed and ruffled her hair as he walked by her. Iris blinked. He stopped at the gym’s open doors and looked back, giving her a brilliant smile. Iris looked at him with confusion and nervousness.
“Now, don’t go off eloping with that Buster girl without telling me first.”
Vycksta: Even though you are a big supporter of minor Ships, do you have any favorite mainstream Ships at all?

Sweet May: Do you ship any gym leaders with main characters in any series(Anime,Manga,Games)?
Only two of them that I can actually give a shot at. Hikari x Volkner. I liked how Volkner got out of his depression once she rolled along. xD The fan art made for this pairing is also great. The other pairing is Kotone x Falkner... which I blame the fan art for putting them together.

Gotcha. I ended up doing one of Xellos/Filia from Slayers (No one is surprised. No one.) with a couple lines from Legal Matter.

midnightjewelz: Imagine Iris and Dawn's first meeting. How would it go, and how would you make it shippy between the two?
I would imagine them it to be really happy, playful and cute, similar to May and Dawn in the Wallace Cup. To make it shippy, i would make the two battle each other or have a tag battle together. I believe that's how shippy i can get without getting OOC.

Hmmm... that's an interesting question... I suppose if we're talking overall then it's probably In Which Xellos Wears Leather Pants (Slayers - Xellos/Filia). Because... well, because. If we're just talking about Pokemon drabbles, then I'd say it'd be Life Uncaffeinated (ContestShipping) because May, Drew, and Harley all had fun interactions in that one.

Advanceshipping: This might be strange but this is my childhood pairing. I actaully remember watching AG more than OS, yes i know. It's a crime. I guess i love advance because i love their chemistry, and their friendship. Compared to Ash's relationship with Misty, they were more calm and there was no bickering like from Misty. (but that what made Misty so awesome. lol.) I don't know, i guess i loved them more because Ash what some what more mature-rish in AG which was a nice change (and something i miss dearly) Even though i'm a massive multishipper my heart will lay with advance. XD
Sapphireshipping: Their so cute together! May and Dawn are like sisters and make me smile when i see them together. I wish there willl be more episode of them together.
Contestshipping: my advanceshipping friends will slay me for this. XD I'm kinda liking contestshipping a little more now, i mean i refuse to watch episodes of Drew and May together but i don't mind writing drabbles of them or reading fanfics with them. I just wish there was a CS fic out there with some CS and AS together. It would be so refreshing to read. I'm such a strange person.

Oh, let me think. I guess you could say that Pearlshipping is one of my few guilty pleasures. As a major Pokeshipper and Penguinshipper, I really shouldn't ship this at all, but I did really enjoy their interactions in the anime and thought that Ash and Dawn might make a nice couple.
