@Skiyomi: Is there any ships in Pokemon/Slayers that you're hot and cold about? Like.. Ehm... You like the pairing but there's something about them that you hate..somethin' like that xD

Eh... there's not really one I can think of. For Pokemon I don't usually register at either end of the spectrum. For Slayers, well, a few years ago Xellos/Filia might've qualified, but in case it's not totally obvious I'm firmly in the "love" category with them now. Of course, I still have a tendency to irrationally blame them for things. Hmm...

Yes. Nostalgia plays an important role and is one of the main qualities that keeps pokeshipping alive. People remember the dubbed in hints and the fact that Ash and Misty were the main characters in the original pokemon series.

Truth for Skiyomi, do you remember the first pokeshipping fic you read, and if you can how different is it to your fic tastes now?

It's kind of hard for me to answer that question because, the fact is, even though I write a lot, I've never been an avid fanfiction reader. I didn't read fanfiction back in the day when I was really into the ship, so the first PokeShipping fic I read (and I can't remember what one it was) was probably from within the last few years and was read here, and with the main interest being to provide feedback to a writer--not as an act of fandom for the ship. So I can't really attest to any change.
