What starter did you choose?

I chose Chimchar because I love it and Monferno. Not that crazy about Infernape though.

Piplup. For the first time I didn't choose the Grass-Pokémon, but that's because I don't like Turtwig's design at all.

I chose Turtwig, and it's only a Grotle so far, but it is still a beast!

Turtwig. It's a turtle, and turtles are awesome. Therefore, I chose him over any other starter.

I chose Piplup for my Pearl, which is my main.

I chose a Chimchar on my Diamond then traded it over to pearl and restarted so I could use Turtwig and have all the starters. Highest I ever got an Infernape was lvl 51 though, because I just don't like it much. I'm biased because I loved Blaziken way too much to use the upstart monkey.

Empoleon is one of my favorites from Sinnoh though.

Really? I thought Turtwig and its evolutions were great (not that I'm trying to say you're wrong or anything). The first time I played Diamond, Turtwig was the one for me.

For this new game I'm sort of playing at the moment, I chose Piplup.

May's Piplup may or may not have influenced that decision. haha

I recently started my Diamond over, I chose Piplup, because Grass isn't super effective vs Empoleon, and Empoleon can Ice beam Grass types, wich makes the rival a piece of cake.

Me and my brother do this thing where he always picks the fire type and I always pick the water type, except for this one generation because I hated the Piplup line designs.
So I went for Turtwig instead. xD I didn't like him too much though, 5th gen is by far my least favourite when it comes to starters.
