You know you've been on SPPf for a long time when you feel nostalgic for something like that. Good times... .
Jokes aside, the sprites in Pidove's animation are identical between BW and BW2, leaving just the starters and Cottonee. I'll always wonder why Cottonee of all things got a new sprite.
Is it just the starters or their lines? Because I think I remember seeing somewhere that Samurott and Seperior had different sprites as well.

Really? I still remember when I made the GIF, it was right after we got the localized names for Pigeon Heart.
Pichu also has a different animation for what it's worth.
Honestly I would have combined the starter animations. So Oshawott for example would go 1 Cycle BW2 Animation->BW Special Animation->1 Cycle BW2 Animation->BW2 Special Animation.
It really would have made the special animations specialer.
Anyone else think it's annoying how the game gives you a shiny dratini, gible, and a haxorus. It ruins the rarity of shiny pokemon. I wanted a shiny dragonite but seeing how everyone and their mom will have one, it takes away the value. I don't even count the red gyarados as one of my shinies because it was given to me. Just a quick vent. Anyone have an opinion on it?
It's easier said than done. In order to get the Haxorus, you need to see every Pokemon in the Unova Dex, which considering that the Unova Dex is a record 300 Pokemon, and that several Pokemon need to be evolved and bred from previous gen counterparts, a few need to be traded over from the other version. It's definitely not an easy task and pretty time consuming. As for Gible/Dratini, you need to get through a tough Battle Tower esque area and beat the leader. You're underestimating just how tough it is to get those shinies. It's not like the Red Gyarados, where they just handed it to you without having to work for it.
Personally, I'd just get them for the sake of getting them, not for the sake of getting a shiny Pokémon like I do with getting a wild shiny Zubat or something. In my eyes, a shiny Haxorus from wherever you're given one is much less valuable than a shiny Haxorus caught as an Axew in Mistralton Cave.
True, but it doesn't really change the fact that you're given one. :/
They just have to devote time to a bonus dungeon and seeing everything in the Unova Dex
Once I work towards that Shiny Haxorus and Dratini/Gible, they will still feel special to me. Maybe even more special because I didn't have to deal with a ****** awful random number generator.
They are an actual reward and that's just as valuable to people.
I kinda wish they give shiny Axew instead, cuz I'm gonna have 2 games. So I can have different shinies.
Well, I've already got my own shiny Dratini from SR in SS, and it's more special to me cuz I work harder to get it.
The difference between Red Gyarados and the shinies in BW2 is that Red Gyarados is a part of the storyline and you have to at least battle it in order to progress. The shinies in BW2 are optional and require much more work to get. It may not be as much "work" as it would by getting a random shiny, but enough to justify them being a guaranteed shiny.
