Ehh, I guess I just see it a little differently. Since the art style looks closer to Abyss than Vesperia, Graces or Radiant Mythology.

Edit: I also have to pick up Symphonia, I suppose that new copies don't exist anymore and the used ones haven't gone down in price for like the last 7 years lol.

I looked at the boxart and I think I know what you're talking about now. The US boxarts look more like anime does with its' glossy look while the Japanese versions are sketches. Is that what you mean? Because I have little doubt that if the US get Xillia it's boxart will look more animeish.

Yeah, something along those lines. I kinda wish that the preorder people would get the original boxart, I like the sketch look, it's kind of like a nod back to Phantasia's boxart. Graces(wii) box art is better than the PS3's

Well, I can't exactly blame you since even you did own one, you would have to get a Japanese PS2 to play it anyways. But, you're missing a loooot of good games for the PS2! I would really recommend investing in somehow getting a Japanese PS2 to play the Destiny Remake. Easily, one of the best Tales of games.

Heck, I don't know why they bother spending money to change it. Does it cost more to have the sketch art or something? But, I would be just fine with preorder people getting the sketch art or having it as an extra thing to buy. They look way nicer than anything US Namdai gives us.

I have~! They're the best stuff and why I think Namdai excels better at humor. Plus, Jade and Zelos? It's a thing of awesomeness. It's too bad they've seem to stop Viva Tales Of since I love seeing characters from different series interacting with Jade and Zelos. My favorite is the Fandom Gaiden one, though, so I guess I can't really talk.

They honestly don't feel that different when it comes to ToS. The PS2 version has a bit more replay value I found with the Book having the battle against Mithos, Kratos, and Yuan and a few extra scenes. It's too bad they didn't add anything different for the story in terms of the affection system, though.

Well I can't speak Japanese, so it would be meaningless to play those games. Also, I don't think any of Sony's consoles are region locked, so any PS2 would do it.

The PS2 is region locked. PSP and PS3 aren't. If not for the fact that I don't want to shell out money for another PS2 (which is probably going to happen soon anyway, seeing as mine wont play certain games for some reason), I'd be all over the PS2 Tales games. The PS2 versions of the PSP games are SO much cheaper @_@

I've been playing Tales of the Abyss 3D and Tales of Graces on and off. I've beaten Abyss several times, so it's hard for me to really sit down and play it for a long period of time now, and Graces has that INFURIATING battle system ._. Seriously, I hope they don't use that again. I liked my TP. Let me have my TP. I also hate how the character in Graces all have horrid defenses- it's really irritating when a regular monster can hit my characters three or four times and kill them.

I've been playing Tales of the Abyss 3D and Tales of Graces on and off. The Graces battle system is actually very fluid once you get used to it, I prefer the traditional battle system but the CC system has it's good points as well. As for monsters killing you in three to four hits, I never had that issue, only with bosses. Lower the difficulty, or train more, maybe?

I personally feel that the CC system is handled better in Destiny R, seems a lot more fluid. Since most Tales dubs here use the TP system, that's what I prefer. I don't like the branching artes system in Graces, I like to be able to any artes I have at anytime.

I do hope to see the FoF system in the future, that added some pretty cool combos and flare to the game, I would also like to see Fatal Strikes and Burst Artes make return. FS were just cool, and Burst Artes were good OL combo finishers. I also like ToV OL system better than Abyss, while it did make the game broken, you really had to play a lot to get the skills to make it so.

Everyone is pissed off at Luke for destroying Azeriuth (or whatever it's called). Yes, he destroyed it, but wasn't he tricked into doing it? Plus, it was written in the score so it was technically suppose to happen.
