    Mt. Itoi, on the slopes
    "Wait, come again?"

    Just as Gon was about to fight the Mini Nanuk, Kyornik pulled him away, and then pulled off a fight with it more grizzly than its kin, the Grizzly Bears. Heck, these things were probably just grizzly bears painted white. But wow. Kyornik sure had a lot of nerve taking on a bear that size like that. And he was managing his pain about as well as Amanda was, oddly enough. However, Kyornik probably did not have a technique that increased in power the more pain he felt, and even if he did, he certainly wouldn't be so mad as to let himself be injured specifically so he could use that technique, would he?

    Probably not. So when Kyornik called for help, namely in the form of PSI shields and healing, Gon jumped at the opportunity, running over and Lifeupping him. He had plenty of energy for it now, thanks to that Magic Gelatin Kyornik had so graciously offered him.

    "Just don't be so rash when fighting those bears, okay?" Gon said to him. "I'm starting to think you have almost as much fun feeling pain as Amanda does."

    Soon enough, the two were faced with a PSI-Yonara... briefly. Amanda had made quick work of it with her powered-up PK Pain. Wait, come again?

    "What the..." Gon commented. "Can ghosts even feel pain?"

    "They can..." Amanda stammered, rising to her feet but feeling oddly light-headed. "Not physical pain... but karmic pain, they do feel greatly. A soul can be tortured... perhaps even more easily than a body."

    "Really?" Gon replied, indignantly. Actually, he didn't have the faintest idea what Amanda was talking about. Not to mention he was never a fan of horror movies which would probably explain those things, so he wouldn't know.

    But then, all of a sudden, Amanda rose into the air a few inches, her hair blowing in the wind. She then started flying forward, headed for the path that continued up the mountain. Wait, come again?

    "Wait..." Gon started, confused. "You didn't tell me you can fly..."

    "I can't..." Amanda replied, sounding oddly incredulous. "I'm being... blown up by this wind..."

    She was right. Gon had started feeling a gust of wind whipping at his feet, pushing him in the direction of the spiraling slopes leading up the mountain. How was this possible?

    Beep! "Welcome Gust," his phone spoke.

    Oh yeah, that explained it. Looking back at the ledge where all the enemies had been, Gon could see a group of strange creatures following him and Amanda, and soon enough, the other Chosen Ones as well. Their bodies looked like miniature tornadoes, out of which poked smiling blue faces at the top, and little blue hands on the sides. Looking further beyond, Gon could see another one blowing away the defeated Victoria who had beaten up the EVE-mobile, sending her falling off the edge of the mountain. Watching this, Gon made a note that that might be a good way to take care of some of these enemies here, particularly those nasty Mini Nanuks.

    There was something else Gon noticed. Only four people had arrived on the slopes of Mt. Itoi. Gale and Diego were missing. Gon suspected that Gale might have still been at Club Kousagi and just didn't bother going backstage, but he clearly remembered having seen Diego fight off the Cute Li'l UFO's and try to head backstage. Come to think of it, he didn't remember seeing Diego in the dressing room either; he hadn't really been paying attention.

    "Hey you guys," Gon asked Aqua and Tekina and Kyornik when he got the chance, "have any of you seen Diego recently? I thought he was..."
    Just then, Gon heard a faint whirring noise far above. Looking up, he could see a UFO heading for the clouds, and what looked like a person's legs dangling from the side.
    "...That can't be him, can it?" He pointed out where the UFO was, only to see it disappear into the clouds shortly after.

    But at least the good thing was that these Welcome Gusts seemed to be helping the group rather than harming them. Their wind blasts were carrying them up the slopes nicely, and they even smelled fresh and refreshing, which is always nice. With their ascent, the clouds above drew ever closer. Of course, that didn't stop the enemies from attacking though. In fact, it wasn't too long before a Mini Nanuk came jumping at the group from a ledge above them. Immediately, Gon sent a bunch of PK Fireworks at it right as it was about to land on top of him. It helped that he was currently traveling up a rather narrow side of the slopes, for the Mini Nanuk only had to be blasted a couple of feet to the side in order to be thrown right off the edge of the mountain.

    However, that trick didn't seem to work with all enemies, as Gon soon found out. The Frosty Men didn't even jump from ledges, primarily hiding on higher ones and throwing annoying anowballs. The Shogunja sometimes fell to their doom when knocked off the side, but if they found a lower ledge to land on, they had a pretty easy time climbing up the slopes again and continuing their attacks. In the end, Gon had to conclude that this strategy was best used on the massive Mini Nanuks... And even then, that didn't work on the second one he encountered, because the damn thing was so heavy that his PK Fireworks didn't provide a strong enough blast to knock the thing off the ledge. Now if only he had PK Aura, that might do the trick as well.

    Summit of Mt. Itoi
    "The Sun Sets on a Dramatic Revelation"

    The Starman walked towards Diego, one of his tentacled arms pointed directly at him, his metallic body reflecting the spectacular orange lights of the late afternoon sun. When he got closer, he fired a laser beam at a rock just about a foot from where Diego was standing, charring it and producing a glowing red spot on it that lasted a few seconds.

    "As I thought," the Starman spoke in his familiar deep and metallic voice. "You are in possession of the magical music box. Let me see. PK Aura."

    Just then, a glowing red aura appeared around the music box. It flew right out of Diego's grasp, landing closely in front of him. It opened up, revealing the pieces the Chosen Ones had collected thus far.

    "You only found two of the pieces. Pathetic. You will need all seven to effectively calm the evil that threatens the world. And each of those seven pieces is guarded by a powerful entity, one which threatens the well-being of the world and the safety of its people. The one on top of Mt. Itoi is guarded by an especially powerful one, for it guards a sanctuary that is closely tied to a similar magical melody."

    What sanctuary? Oh yeah, probably that temple there. On the top of Mt. Itoi, amidst the clouds that were beginning to turn pink from a sunset about to begin, not too far away from this high spot, was a temple of some sort. A beatiful one, looking to be made of a bluish crystal. It looked rather pretty in the centre of the crater-like top of Mt. Itoi, especially now in the orange glow of the sinking sun, and also the light whitish glow of the almost-full moon just beginning to rise in the eastern sky.

    "There is one other thing," the Starman mentioned, just as the sky was starting to grow darker. "You. You are the only one of all the Chosen Ones who has no PSI. Or are you? I sense it... There is indeed PSI within you. A PSI that is dark as the darkest abyss..." and here a malevolent chuckle seemed to sound from inside Diego, "...yet also as light as the kindest ray of love. Peculiar. Very peculiar. And dangerous."

    There was a glint in the Starman's single horizontal slit for an eye. "Why must you fear that which you keep locked away inside of you? Human insecurities are very dangerous indeed, especially when they manifest as PSI. Such entities must be exterminated. But first, they must be drawn out. PK Ground."

    And without warning, the Starman made the ground shake right below Diego. It was as if he was literally trying to shake DX out of Diego. If that would even work anyway.

    Back down on the slopes

    The shaking could also be felt from further down the mountain. In fact, it caused a bunch of rocks to start sliding down the slopes. An avalanche! Though dangerous indeed, it did have a beneficial effect: a lot of the enemies also got crushed beneath the rocks (including the Mini Nanuk that tried to attack Gon after he failed to push it off the cliff). Other enemies got buried under the falling snow, including a Victoria which also rusted from the moisture. This didn't seem to phase the Welcome Gusts though; in fact, the rocks went right through them. If there were any PSI-Yonaras still present (hopefully Amanda had defeated the last one), the same would be true of them as well.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    OOC: DVB, I now give you permission to bunny the Starman for just until the rest of the group reaches the top (because I really don't want to control Diego for the purposes of this confrontation), on one condition: that he never does anything with the music box (he's primarily interested in Diego's dormant PSI for now). If Diego wants to ask the Starman why he's after the music box or why he stole it from Dr. Andonuts (or why he's doing anything for that matter), the Starman will just regard it as "top secret".
    The Starman mainly attacks with laser beams fired from its arms, which cause a burning sensation upon impact and cannot cause colds like the Cute Li'l UFO's can. It also knows PK Aura and PK Ground (as demonstrated in the post), and also Shield.
    (The Starmen in this RPG will know a few PSI techniques that vary from Starman to Starman.)
    Diego Vendrix
    Summit of Mt. Itoi
    "The Sun Sets on a Dramatic Revelation"
    Diego glared at the Staman, even as he shot a laser beam at the clockwork boy. Diego kept his guard up.
    "As I thought," the Starman spoke in his familiar deep and metallic voice. "You are in possession of the magical music box. Let me see. PK Aura."
    Just then, a glowing red aura appeared around the music box. It flew right out of Diego's grasp, landing closely in front of him. It opened up, revealing the pieces the Chosen Ones had collected thus far.
Itoi is guarded by an especially powerful one, for it guards a sanctuary that is closely tied to a similar magical melody."
    Diego simply took back the pieces before the Starman could do anything as he glared at the Starman. "I know. What I need to know is what you fiends are doing here?" Diego proclaimed to the Starman. He then turned to the sanctuary.
    On the top of Mt. Itoi, amidst the clouds that were beginning to turn pink from a sunset about to begin, not too far away from this high spot, was a temple of some sort. A beautiful one, looking to be made of a bluish crystal. It looked rather pretty in the centre of the crater-like top of Mt. Peculiar. Very peculiar. And dangerous."
    Diego gulped as he wondered how the Starman figured that out, especially having cut the tie to his PSI and DX. He was know freaked out.
    There was a glint in the Starman's single horizontal slit for an eye. "Why must you fear that which you keep locked away inside of you? Human insecurities are very dangerous indeed, especially when they manifest as PSI. Such entities must be exterminated. But first, they must be drawn out. PK Ground."
    Diego glared before he saw that the ground was shaking. Seriously, that would do nothing but annoy Diego.
    "You wanna fight then?" Diego said before he got his Clockwork Arm on. "Dormis Inducer!" Diego said as he picked the strange flashing device to lull the Starman to a slumber. Upon doing so, Diego switched to the Shooter Gauntlet and launched a devasted punch to the Starman.
    Aqua Way
    Mount Itoi
    Walking up the path with EVE wasn’t that difficult. After working together to beat up Victoria, Aqua turned around to notice her party flying off without her! She had no Psi abilities that would grant her flight; however, she had been thinking of a way to learn flight through Psi Aura but that’s for another time when she actually learns that and if she learns that. Right now she was worried about getting up there. Then her eyes lit up with an idea. Aqua pulled out her hair clip, activating her rod and springing into the air. Salt followed her lead and jumped as well.
    “Garden!” she shouted in mid air.
    Dandelion seeds, fairies as their known in Winters, cover the air and Aqua felt just as light as them. Luckily, the gust of wind that carried Aqua’s friends off also created a strong pull. The fairies swirled in that direction, pulling Aqua along. Once again, Aqua was stuck at the back following everyone. However, Aqua didn’t feel this to be all that bad. The dandelion seeds provided her with more freedoms than the whirling bodies of wind that pushed the rest of the party. They would lock onto enemies and slow down their movement and reducing their awareness , allowing Aqua to come in with a hard hit that would leave anyone knocked out for a while. The angry snowmen were her favoruite to fight with. She used her rod to send the snow ball flying into another enemy while she and the ‘fairies’ fought with the snowman. The ninja samurai however, were harder to deal with. Their armour would prove difficult for Aqua’s rod to damage. So instead, she aimed snowballs at them and had them fall to their doom. However; this wasn’t that helpful since they would attempt to attack her friends during their free fall.
    Psi Powers:
    Healing: Aqua’s healing is a simple refresher. It can stop bleeding, awaken partners, heal poison, get rid of nausea, and somewhat heal sun burn. The target must swallow the water in order to work, or be rubbed on injuries.
    Counter: An effective counter. It can easily counter every physical attack thrown at it, but it’s very weak.
    Psi Counter: A psychic counter. It can easily reflect psychic energy back at the sender but is fragile.
    Garden: Aqua's pendant shines a bright green and a garden setting grows around the target and heals them. Apparently, it can also rid Aurora corruption. Due to her dream being cut short, her powers are weakened and she can only produce a few flowers. It seems the attack can manifest in different ways.
    Equipped:
    Pink High Low Maxi: A dress with an uneven cut. It flows in the air freely while Aqua walks.
    Curled hair: Aqua’s hair is in long curly spirals. She looks adorable with this hairstyle!
    Black Boots: Long Boots that travel half way to Aqua's knees. Extremely hipster!
    Yellow Button Up: A long sleeve, yellow button up shirt. Give of a refined air.
    Green Jacket: Something you would see worn by someone cosplaying Chie from Persona 4.
    Thick White Stockings: They even have lace trim and pink bows on them!
    Ice Rod (Pin Form): A pale blue rod gifted to Aqua by an angel. With this rod, Aqua can use Counter. It also makes a very good offensive weapon. The ends of the rod are decorated with a single ice crystal design. When Aqua isn’t using the rod, it becomes a snowflake hairpin that can always be found in her hair.
    Mystic Mirror (Bangle form): A round silver mirror gifted to Aqua by Scheherazade. With this mirror, Aqua can create PSI Counters. A spiral pattern decorates the back of the mirror. Easily stores as a silver bangle.
    Water drop charm: A necklace that has a blue water drop tied to it. It provides endless water for Aqua's restoration PSI. It will however dehydrate and will only work during dire moments of need. Dipping it in clean water restores its powers.
    Inventory:
    Purple Fuel Pod: The energy source of the Victoria model robots. It has two chambers; one for fuel and one for purple dye.
    Potted Salty Flower: A large seed that Aqua took from the Fleshy Flower after defeating it in battle. It rests inside a glass pot that can be stretched to one meter. It is average sized with a large bud.
    x10 Hair band: Aqua carries quite a few of these. It’s fun to change hair styles!
    x22 Bobby Pins: Important for really bad lock picking and for those complex hair styles.
    x3 Pencils: Aqua always likes to keep three; one for her to use, one to stab people with, and a third one for Todd.
    Blue Pen: Aqua’s favorite pen. She always has it resting on her ear.
    Lunch box: It contains a tea bag. What a very simple drink
    School bag: It’s Aqua’s school bag that is stuffed with a towel, shampoo, soap, deodorant, a toothbrush and toothpaste. The pockets are full of video games, two chargers, a 3DS, and a PSP.
    Bag: It contains all of Aqua’s clothes.
    OOC: It is time, fellow RPers. Time for the showdown with the Starman--and more--to begin.
    IC:
    Mt. Itoi Summit
    "Toccata in D Minor"
    Much to the Starman's surprise, his PK Ground didn't seem to do much to Diego. Perhaps it was the elevation. Gah, he must have completely overlooked that detail in his PSI 101 class at Mercury University. Oh well, no matter, he did have other tricks up his sleeve. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to pull any of them off, for it was Diego's turn.
    "You wanna fight then?" Diego taunted, setting up a strange device on his arm. He pressed a button on part of it, and the light that came from the device caused the Starman to feel very relaxed. The reddish glow in his slit for an eye grew dimmer, and his head bowed forward a bit. Eventually, a strange metallic grumbling sound issued from him--in fact, it sounded kind of like snoring.
    But then Diego followed up with a clockwork punch right to the middle of the Starman's chest. A direct hit. It even left a dent in his metallic body. The impact send such a resonating shockwave of pain throughout his body that he sat up, clutching his chest for a while. Then he took a look at Diego, and stood right back up again.
    "Heh, heh, heh, heh," the Starman laughed, in a mirthless metallic fashion. It was as if he was a robot trying to laugh. "You fool. You put me to sleep then follow up with a powerful attack like that? Simple-minded humans."
    As he was saying this, he spread his arms out and formed what looked like a sphere of diamond shapes around him. He needed to put up this shield to avoid taking too much more damage from Diego's attacks. But the he saw something else on Diego... a bow of some sort? Aha.
    "PK Aura," he spoke, flicking a tentacled arm forward. Diego's Rocket Crossbow came flying right out of his grasp along with a couple of fireworks, landing somewhere further down in the crater atop this tall mountain. "Heh, heh, heh. Whatever that contraption was, it seems you can no longer use it."
    The fight continued on for a while, but with the Starman's shield up and Diego's Rocket Crossbow inaccessible for now, he was having a really hard time doing damage as significant as before. All Diego could really do was put him to sleep with the Dormis Inducer again, for the shield didn't block that. In fact, the shield was a rather dumb move on the Starman's part, because the reduced damage he took from Diego's attacked failed to wake him up.
    However, something else did: a strong gust of wind that blew the sleeping Starman to the side, causing him to ram his head right into a conveniently-placed rock, shattering his shield. However, he didn't immediately continue fighting, as he was too busy rubbing his head and wondering if he had drunk too many Cosmic Shooters again. Oh yeah, that's right, it was that clockwork punk with his flashy thingy that put him to sleep. Duh.
    Just then, six other people arrived on the scene. Gon, Aqua, Kyornik, Tekina, Amanda, and... oh, the last one was a Shogunja who stowed away and attempted to blend right into the group. The bright orange sunlight that illuminated the top of Mt. Itoi gave him away as they could see him better though, and a combination of PSI attacks from all of them finished him off rather quickly, finishing with him being rather hilariously thrown off the mountain by Tekina's PK Aura. The Shogunja sounded a panicked yell as he fell, and a tiny little star shone from the spot where he fell through the clouds.
    (If he could talk, he would probably now be saying "Team Shogunja's blasting off again!")
    But just look at this beautiful scene. By that time, the sun was just barely above the horizon, casting brilliant rays of orange and pink and purple across the darkened sky, shining this blend of colours on the clouds below as well. The pile of snow sitting in the crater sparked in its light, making the Rocket Crossbow still sitting down there look like some legendary weapon that was to be found up here. Looking down, Gon could see that the crater had some rather smooth icy slopes along it. Now if only he had a sled, that would make for a wicked ride down it.
    But oh well, now was not the time for fun in the snow. Gon couldn't help but look all around at the beautiful sunset. It was hard to keep eyes or mouths closed at the sight, that was for sure. Even Toccata, the black lizard who had been hiding in Amanda's pocket, woke from his comatose state and crawled up the arm of Amanda's coat to rest on her shoulder as usual.
    Meanwhile, the Starman had finally gotten up, and had just noticed the new arrivals.
    "Ah, I see the other Chosen Ones have arrived," he mentioned, glancing around at all of them. "Your arrival is sooner than I anticipated. You must have had a lot of help getting up here, heh, heh, heh. But anyway, you all had best beware the bearer of the clockwork gadgets. It may appear that he is incapable of using PSI, but there is in fact a strong psychic presence inside of him. One that is darker than most can imagine, darker than any dark secret hidden among you all..."
    Then, without warning, the Starman extended a tentacled arm and shot a laser beam out of it. The beam didn't hit any of the Chosen Ones, thankfully. Instead, it hit a spot right over Amanda's shoulder. Behind her, Toccata lay limp on the rocky ground. (At this elevation, there's only snow in the crater.)
    "I was wrong," the Starman warned. "There is in fact a darker secret hidden among you all. That girl." He had his arm pointing right at Amanda now, the end of glowing red in preparation for another laser attack. "That girl keeps a Dracona Minor as a pet."
    Gon was notably confused. "A Dracona Minor? What... what do you mean?"
    "A Dracona Minor is an enemy to all Starmen. Born from the evils of humanity, it is among the forces we have come here to fight against. This one must have thought itself clever, disguising itself as an ordinary black lizard. One would do best to keep an eye on its keeper, too. But this weak little one must definitely be exterminated. PK..."
    "Who are you to talk?" Amanda spoke back in a loud and raspy voice, breaking the Starman's concentration. She took her wand out of her other pocket, holding it at the ready. "You, along with the other Starmen, aren't exactly up to any good. You've had a long rivalry with us humans. You blatantly presented yourselves at the onset of the Aurora Mysteria. You did nothing to help us, but what of those people who were kidnapped, hm? You are--and have always been--our enemy. Why should we trust anything that you say?" There was a glint in her eye, and a crazed relish to her tone of voice. "And so, I justify that it is you who must be exterminated. PK Pain!"
    Much to Amanda's surprise, her signature PSI technique did absolutely nothing to the Starman. All the Starman did in response was utter a low chuckle.
    "PK Pain, eh? There is no canon PSI technique called that, and thus it must be a special technique based on your favourite thing. (Well, at least there's one thing I recall from PSI 101... actually, that was something I picked up from snooping on the advanced PSI 303 class.) Just like the legendary hero Ness' PK Rockin', and Lucas' PK Love. But I detect a presence in you that is just as evil, if not more, as the one inside Diego. And your favourite thing is pain. Why should we trust anything you say?"
    "Because I am one of the Chosen Ones," Amanda proclaimed with a wide grin on her face. "Have you ever heard of an anti-hero before? Deal with it, it exists. And seriously, if you are unaffected by my PK Pain, then that can only mean that you are a robot, incapable of feeling and emotion. Do you even have a motive for coming here? Ah well, even if PK Pain doesn't work, I have something that will. PK Fir..."
    Before Amanda could prepare the spell, the Starman shot a laser beam right at her chest, knocking her backward onto the ground. But then a stream of fire hit the Starman. Not little purple will-o-wisps like Amanda's PK Fire though. Not the dancing reddish flames of Tekina's PK Fire either. This fire was bright green, shooting in a straight line as if it was breathed.
    In fact, it was breathed. Toccata had risen, angered by the fact that the Starman called him small and weak. But he looked quite different from the little black lizard perched on Amanda's shoulder. He was a full-on dragon, complete with dark red wings framed by black spines, and additional spines on his long black tail. His eyes glowed a fierce bright green, bright as the flames he had just expelled from his mouth. But he wasn't that much bigger than he was in lizard form. Why should that make a difference, anyway?
    "Oh, I get it," Gon pointed out. "Dracona Minor. Literally, 'little dragon'. So Toccata was a friggin' dragon all this time?!"
    Oh yes. A dragon that had its piercing green eyes set on burning the Starman alive. He didn't stop at just one flame burst. He shot out another one, which caused red tinges on the surface of the Starman's metallic body. The Starman flinched, shaking, almost as if he had been hit by PK Pain if it worked. In response, the Starman shot another laser beam at Toccata, the Dracona Minor. Toccata did a backwards somersault in the air and had a burn mark on his leg, but continued to fight.
    "DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE US," the Starman spoke. "You will be exterminated, Dracona Minor, before your darkness consumes the world."
    A quivering Amanda looked up at the two combatants, shocked by everything she saw. "Stop it!" she cried. "If you keep attacking Toccata, you'll only make him angrier! Ack!" Toccata had just blown a small green flame at Amanda, searing her wand hand and causing the rest of her body to feel numb.
    W-What is this? Amanda thought, not being able to move at all. I... I can't feel anything... not even pain... I...
    The thin air got the best of her, and she collapsed.
    Meanwhile, Gon stood there a safe distance away from the battle, trying to decide what to do. He wasn't even sure how to help out in the battle, for he just didn't know which side to take. The Starman was evil, true; and it had attacked Diego and attempted to bring out some sort of evil in him. Was it really true, that Diego had some PSI abilities but kept them locked up somehow? And then there was Amanda and Toccata. Why did she even team up with him in the first place, if he was as evil as the Starman made him out to be?
    In fact, the only thing Gon could think to do now was go Lifeup Aqua, for he remembered how she had taken a little damage against the Victoria and other enemies on the mountain.
    Exasperated, Gon decided to look away from the battle and over on the other side of the crater. There was still that temple over there... what could possibly be in it? A part of him wanted to go investigate it, but then a part of him wanted to stay and make sure the Starman didn't do something terrible to Amanda. True, Amanda was evil-minded, but she had (at least so far) never bothered to lay a finger on him, or any of the Chosen Ones for that matter. Nor the Archangels or King Ferdinand or any other of their allies. Was she really just an anti-hero, as she said? Or was she just playing nice to gain their trust or something?
    Looking beyond the temple, Gon noticed that the full moon had risen just above the clouds, its pale yellowish glow slowly replacing the light of the setting sun. Speaking of which, he turned back around just in time to see the last of it disappear below the horizon, though a pinkish glow still remained in the west. But then something caused him to look back the other way again: a low and beastly grumble sounded, shaking the earth ever so slightly. It was coming from the temple, odd for its pretty blue crystalline appearance. Above it, the rainbow-coloured lights of the Aurora Mysteria began to appear in the sky.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    OOC: Okay, so now you have some choices. You can assist in the fight between Toccata and the Starman, helping either side out, though keep in mind Amanda's in no condition to respond to any questions. Or you can go investigate the temple, play around on the slopes of the crater, what have you.

    Kyornik Arrluk
    On the summi, Mt Itoit

    When Kyornik saw the starman attacking and engaging in dialogue with Diego, he finally could place a real face to the supposed enemies they were facing. His hand flashed with psi bolts as he prepared for battle. He used the last of his magic butterflies to replenish his psi. Coupled with Gon's life-up, he was ready to go. "I was wrong," the Starman warned. "There is in fact a darker secret hidden among you all. That girl." He had his arm pointing right at Amanda now, the end of glowing red in preparation for another laser attack. "That girl keeps a Dracona Minor as a pet." The events that happened afterward, were inexplicable. Amanda was face first in the snow severely hurt from her own familiar which apparently was not your run of the mill Black lizard apparently, not that Kyornik had seen many black lizards. It transformed into a little dragon, a Dracona minor to be exact and started to attack the starman .

    Kyornik glanced at the other chosen ones unsure about what to do. Cue music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-X03D3tSVU On one hand, the enemy was right in front of them and attacked his friend, but at the same time the words of the starman resonated in his head. "A Dracona Minor is an enemy to all Starmen. Born from the evils of humanity, it is among the forces we have come here to fight against. This one must have thought itself clever, disguising itself as an ordinary black lizard. One would do best to keep an eye on its keeper, too. But this weak little one must definitely be exterminated. PK..." Could Amanda's dark tendencies have stemmed from the familiar? Is the starman telling the truth? Is she really to be trusted? All of these question popped into his mind, yet there was his supposed ally face-down in the snow burned from bewitched green flames. He swallowed hard and ran forward. I guess I'll take a leap of faith and go with she really is one of us. I can't trust the starman, but I can't trust the familiar either. The best bet would be to knock them both out and get to that shrine

    Kyornik's right fist glowed a cerulean hue, and a pk freeze attack was blown to the combatants disrupting them. He quickly ran in and scooped up Amanda and attempted to run her back to the others. Toccata turned around and flew towards him screeching. Kyornik looked back to see him crash into the snow from a direct hit from the starman's laser. The starman had one of its metallic arms stretched out with a glowing red point and smoke emanating from it. Toccata didn't stop though. He let loose a stream of green flames toward Kyornik and amanda. What happened instead, was a psychic shield blocked the attack and he was able to return Amanda to the others. The starman then started shooting volleys of laser bursts at Tocata. The dragon nibmly dodged and flew up towards the starman and let loose a stream of the green flames right in its face. "PK Aura!!!" Both the starman and Toccata found themselves being pushed to opposite ends of the summit by the telekinetic force. Kyornik ran towards the starman once more. "Foolish human! Attack the Dracona!!" "Shut up!" "Insolent ape! Pk aura!!" Kyornik found Aqua's psi shield being destroyed and himslef being lifted off the ground in a red aura and held in place. He looked forward and saw the starman firing its laser right at him. "Oh crap!" He quickly waved his right hand to the side and muttered the incantation, and a brilliant streak of lightning intercepted the laser ray. There was an explosion, and the snow had flew up, but Kyornik remained held in the red aura.

    The snow quickly cleared, and the Starman was there clapping together its tentacle arms. "Clever", he complimented. Kyornik was the flung forward by the aura toward the starman, where it then let loose a laser burst. Kyornik found himself no longer being held within the aura and so used his own to dodge the laser blast by levitating himself to the side of the ray. He then flew forward and landed kick in the starmans face. This however, was in vain as its metal body just hurt him and he fell to the ground on his back rolling and hollering in pain quite comically while holding his foot. The starman chuckled a little, and it wasn't a very good one either. "Ow ow ow whoa!!" Kyornik found himself once again in the aura of the starman. The starman then shot him point blank in the gut with ray knocking the wind out of him and sending him flying into the snow. He was then levitated and slammed repeatedly into the snow very amusingly like the cartoon characters being slammed to and fro like a whip. The starman then tossed him up high into the air and followed with a laser ray. Kyornik uttered his incantation, and psi bolts flashed around him levitating him to the right of the ray and he turned upside down ready to unleash his attack. Golden energy flowed around him and a glowing Greek letter Beta flashed over his head. "Pk Nature!!" Under the starman, a golden diamond array shined and spun. From the center of the array, a light explosion occurred and four columns of light lanced through the starman's body and rotated lancing it several times. The rays then crossed the middle of the array and moved toward the points of the diamond and then raced across the middle in an X shaped pattern scorching their way across the ground and sending the starman crashing into some rocks for massive damage. Kyornik could see Toccata flying towards the group from way up high and sent one of the beams blasting him.

    He then landed safely in front of his friends, eyes all aglow with psi power.

    [QUOTE=DVB;16028644]Diego Vendrix
    Summit of Mt. Itoi
    "Toccata in D Minor"

    "Heh, heh, heh, heh," the Starman laughed, in a mirthless metallic fashion. It was as if he was a robot trying to laugh. "You fool. You put me to sleep then follow up with a powerful attack like that? Simple-minded humans."

    "PK Aura," he spoke, flicking a tentacled arm forward. Diego's Rocket Crossbow came flying right out of his grasp along with a couple of fireworks, landing somewhere further down in the crater atop this tall mountain. "Heh, heh, heh. Whatever that contraption was, it seems you can no longer use it."

    Diego looked annoyed and realized that without his Crossbow, it would take a while to deal damage to this guy. he considered switching to the saw before he felt a strong gust of wind.

    It blew the sleeping Starman to the side, causing him to ram his head right into a conveniently-placed rock, shattering his shield. He was still disoriented and Diego saw his chance.

    Just then, six other people arrived on the scene. Gon, Aqua, Kyornik, Tekina, Amanda, and... oh, the last one was a Shogunja who stowed away and attempted to blend right into the group. The bright orange sunlight that illuminated the top of Mt. Itoi gave him away as they could see him better though, and a combination of PSI attacks from all of them finished him off rather quickly, finishing with him being rather hilariously thrown off the mountain by Aqua's PK Aura. The Shogunja sounded a panicked yell as he fell, and a tiny little star shone from the spot where he fell through the clouds.

    Diego admired the sunset before he saw someone who may able to get his clockwork bow back, his raven companion. Solstice. Soltice dove and got the Clockwork Crossbow back to Diego.

    Meanwhile, the Starman had finally gotten up, and had just noticed the new arrivals.

    "Ah, I see the other Chosen Ones have arrived," he mentioned, glancing around at all of them. "Your arrival is sooner than I anticipated. You must have had a lot of help getting up here, heh, heh, heh. But anyway, you all had best beware the bearer of the clockwork gadgets. It may appear that he is incapable of using PSI, but there is in fact a strong psychic presence inside of him. One that is darker than most can imagine, darker than any dark secret hidden among you all..."

    Diego paled immsnely before he got ready to attack. He was not losing his friends because this Starman decided to talk too much.

    Then, without warning, the Starman extended a tentacled arm and shot a laser beam out of it. The beam didn't hit any of the Chosen Ones, thankfully. Instead, it hit a spot right over Amanda's shoulder. Behind her, Toccata lay limp on the rocky ground. (At this elevation, there's only snow in the crater.)

    "I was wrong," the Starman warned. "There is in fact a darker secret hidden among you all. That girl." He had his arm pointing right at Amanda now, the end of glowing red in preparation for another laser attack. "That girl keeps a Dracona Minor as a pet."

    Gon was notably confused. "A Dracona Minor? What... what do you mean?"

PK..."

    Diego glared at the Starmen, unbeliving. These guys did not have a good rep. He wondered what they meant though...

    "Who are you to talk?" Amanda spoke back in a loud and raspy voice, breaking the Starman's concentration. She took her wand out of her other pocket, holding it at the ready. "You, along with the other Starmen, aren't exactly up to any good. You've had a long rivalry with us humans. You blatantly presented yourselves at the onset of the Aurora Mysteria. You did nothing to help us, but what of those people who were kidnapped, hm? You are--and have always been--our enemy. Why should we trust anything that you say?" There was a glint in her eye, and a crazed relish to her tone of voice. "And so, I justify that it is you who must be exterminated. PK Pain!"

    Much to Amanda's surprise, her signature PSI technique did absolutely nothing to the Starman. All the Starman did in response was utter a low chuckle.

    "PK Pain, eh? There is no canon PSI technique called that, and thus it must be a special technique based on your favourite thing. (Well, at least there's one thing I recall from PSI 101... actually, that was something I picked up from snooping on the advanced PSI 303 class.) Just like the legendary hero Ness' PK Rockin', and Lucas' PK Love. But I detect a presence in you that is just as evil, if not more, as the one inside Diego. And your favourite thing is pain. Why should we trust anything you say?"

    "Because I am one of the Chosen Ones," Amanda proclaimed with a wide grin on her face. "Have you ever heard of an anti-hero before? Deal with it, it exists. And seriously, if you are unaffected by my PK Pain, then that can only mean that you are a robot, incapable of feeling and emotion. Do you even have a motive for coming here? Ah well, even if PK Pain doesn't work, I have something that will. PK Fir..."

    Before Amanda could prepare the spell, the Starman shot a laser beam right at her chest, knocking her backward onto the ground. But then a stream of fire hit the Starman. Not little purple will-o-wisps like Amanda's PK Fire though. Not the dancing reddish flames of Tekina's PK Fire either. This fire was bright green, shooting in a straight line as if it was breathed.

    In fact, it was breathed. Toccata had risen, angered by the fact that the Starman called him small and weak. But he looked quite different from the little black lizard perched on Amanda's shoulder. He was a full-on dragon, complete with dark red wings framed by black spines, and additional spines on his long black tail. His eyes glowed a fierce bright green, bright as the flames he had just expelled from his mouth. But he wasn't that much bigger than he was in lizard form. Why should that make a difference, anyway?

    "Oh, I get it," Gon pointed out. "Dracona Minor. Literally, 'little dragon'. So Toccata was a friggin' dragon all this time?!"

    Oh yes. A dragon that had its piercing green eyes set on burning the Starman alive. He didn't stop at just one flame burst. He shot out another one, which caused red tinges on the surface of the Starman's metallic body. The Starman flinched, shaking, almost as if he had been hit by PK Pain if it worked. In response, the Starman shot another laser beam at Toccata, the Dracona Minor. Toccata did a backwards somersault in the air and had a burn mark on his leg, but continued to fight.

    "DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE US," the Starman spoke. "You will be exterminated, Dracona Minor, before your darkness consumes the world."

    A quivering Amanda looked up at the two combatants, shocked by everything she saw. "Stop it!" she cried. "If you keep attacking Toccata, you'll only make him angrier! Ack!" Toccata had just blown a small green flame at Amanda, searing her wand hand and causing the rest of her body to feel numb.

    W-What is this? Amanda thought, not being able to move at all. I... I can't feel anything... not even pain... I...
    The thin air got the best of her, and she collapsed.

    Diego saw Kyornik get Amand to safety. Diego grabbed hold of her and made sure she was all right. Now being close to him, he could protect her. He waited for the right opportunity.

    "She and the little dragon are out friend, Starman. You don't have a good reputation," Diego said. "FIRE ROCKET!" Diego yelled before he launched the firework arrow. It rocketed through the air and hit the Starman before exploding.

    Mt. Itoi Summit

    Despite the Starman's warnings about the Dracona Minor and how evil it was, all the Chosen Ones seemed to be keen on attacking the Starman instead. The Starman tried to fight back, but Kyornik and Diego together proved to be too much for it to handle. Kyornik kicked it, froze it, and pierced it several times with light pillars from his newly strengthened PK Nature. And Diego's firework arrow left a big old gaping hole in the Starman's chest, inside which electricity crackled.

    "Ouch," The Starman spoke without emotion. And then it fell backward, right into the crater, rolling down the rocky slopes and making metallic clunking noises on the way down. In fact, it stopped at just about the same spot where Diego's Rocket Crossbow had lain just moments earlier before his handy raven came by to pick it up. After stopping, the Starman reached up with one arm and shot a wide, bright laser beam right into the sky.

    "I am in critical system failure, heh, heh, heh," it spoke as it lay there. "You Chosen Ones have grown strong. Diego, you seem to be in good control of yourself now, but beware the darkness that lies inside your own mind. Kyornik, we have been running experiments on your brother, and he seems to have great PSI potential as well. And all of you, beware all the Dracona Minors that roam about the world. They have remained hidden for so long, but their mission is to shroud humanity in all of its evils..."

    Just after the Starman said this, a UFO came by and beamed it up, flying away with it into the night.

    Seeing the Starman gone, Toccata scoffed out one little green flame, then finally came to rest at Amanda's side. He nudged her shoulder and made a low cooing noise, and as he did so, he pressed his wings back against his back so that they blended in with the rest of his body, and he retracted the spines on his tail. Once he was a normal black lizard again, he scurried back into Amanda's white coat pocket. Amanda still didn't wake up though. She didn't seem dead or even Deadlike either; perhaps just passed out or something.

    ~ ~ ~

    Seeing as Kyornik and Diego were already attending to Amanda, Gon had decided to go investigate the crystal temple on the other side of the crater. But right now, he standing a safe distance from the tussle with the Starman, his smartphone out in front of him. Having noticed that the Aurora Mysteria was out, he wanted to check how strong its activity here was compared to that of the rest of the world. Upon opening the Aurora Tracker app, he saw that there was some slight aurora activity here in Sunrise, but there was a great big cloud of it on the screen elsewhere... right over Dalaam, in fact.

    "So... I guess we're all headed to Dalaam tomorrow," Gon said aloud. When he did, he could swear someone was listening to him... but he couldn't tell who. Oh well. Perhaps he was just imagining things. With that, he put his smartphone away. There was someone else he really wanted to talk to now...

    "Hey! Aqua!" he called as he walked over to the cute cat-loving witch, waving. "Ho ho ho!" he added, since he was wearing Andy's old Santa suit and all. "How do you feel about being the first one to investigate that temple over there?" He pointed to said temple as he said this, which was perfect timing wince it now was all sparkly under the full moonlight. "I would say I'll race you, but I know you'll probably beat me. So why don't we just run over there together?"

    Gon was smiling all the way as he said this. This moment really reminded him of those days back when he was exploring around Robot City with Ari. Whenever he saw an interesting place up ahead, he would always opt to race her there. He would always win the race, and Ari would lag behind and mope about being too slow. After one such loss, she suggested that maybe they could just run to a new place together, rather than having to deal with a race. Gon actually liked that, so that was the new tradition from then on.

    And now, here at the top of Mt. Itoi, a place he had always dreamed of, he felt that same sense of tranquility, of companionship, of wonder, all mixed into one beautiful package. Beautiful, really... the starlight, the moonlight, the aurora light, all sparkling in Aqua's very adorable-looking eyes. In that moment, he forgot all about how different his and her personalities and interests were. He was just happy to be here, enjoying this moment.

    Diego Vendrix
    Summit of Mt. Itoi

    Diego gulped at the omnious words of the Starman, but dismissed them for now. After all, he was a bad guy and they had a reputation for being liars.

    Diego took a breath as he went on his knees and looked over Amanda. He blushed when he realized how cute she was. Solstice looked over the whole area and took note of the strange area nearby. The temple would be of interest. Also, it looked they would next go to Dalaam.

    Solstice noticed the attention his partner paid to the unconscious girl. Solstice snickered before he dove and pushed Diego down. Diego's eye widened as he was pushed down and was forced into a rough kiss into Amanda.

    Solstice snicked at the intense shade of red on Diego's face.

    Kyornik Arrluk
    Atop the slopes of Mt. Itoi

    After Kyornik and Diego heavily damaged the starman, it fell into the crater and spoke.

"Kyornik's eyes widened and his skin paled at the thought of the starman's words. "Kyornik, we have been running experiments on your brother, and he seems to have great PSI potential as well." "Wait a minute, he yelled into the sky as the starman was beamed up to the skyward UFO. "My brother?! They abducted my little brother and he can use psi?? They've been conducting experiments on him??" It didn't occur to him, until that moment that he had yet to call his father or stepmother in Summers to find out how they were as well as to reassure them of his safety. He also wanted to what happened to Blake after the Lighthouse incident, and now he had just learned his little brother Brandon was kidnapped. Tears of anger started to fill his eyes. "Why?!! He's only 9 years old!! He's just a kid", he said slamming an aura filled fist to the ground sending out a small shock wave around him.

    Diego looked at him, and tried to comfort him. "I'm sorry about your little brother. If it makes you feel any better, at least he's alive and well. Or at least that how it sounded from the Starman. We'll rescue him and all the other abducted individuals as soon as we can." "You're right, thanks." At that moment, Diego's Raven pushed Diego down playfully onto Amanda causing a rough kiss between the two. Kyornik raised an eyebrow. Well, at least she's unconscious. I think I'll also keep this to myself when she wakes up. I shudder at the thought of what she'd do to Diego if she ever found out." Toccata flew up to Amanda and curled up on her while changing back into its lizard form. It shot Kyornik a glare of contempt, but then relaxed and snuggled with Amanda. Kyornik didn't trust the Dracona, but for now let it be. The starman's warnings were lasting, and even though it was their enemy and not to be trusted he couldn't help but feel the starman was telling the truth. Everyone started to make their way toward the Mountain shrine, and so Kyornik followed. "I can't believe I still neglected to call home, and we were in Robot City where I could have easily gotten a new phone *** well as my contacts synced. As soon as we're done here, I'm calling my folks in Summers to get to the bottom of this."

    Somewhere
    Blake Ragersworth

    Elsewhere, Blake sat in the chair watching the surveillance footage of Kyornik and the other chosen ones conquests. First there was the battle in the Jardin de Colores and now it was Ferdinand's castle, with the Death notes and a strange ghost. He couldn't but be impressed with the chosen ones. How they battled, their psi mastery, as well as their quick thinking and resourcefulness really shined through in the videos. It got Blake to thinking on how he could possibly escape and join up with them so they could stop whatever imposing threat was now looming upon the world. The footage was then interrupted with a series of blaring alarms. On the screen appeared another starman, that looked seriously injured and sending out a distress call. The transmission ended with him saying, "the chosen ones are strong." Two other starmen from the video room ran out, and he could hear the whirr and buzz of a craft of some sort taking off. Estralle then walked in, stroking her wavy red locks. Upon closer inspection, her hair appeared to be a great red wig. It looked attached though, so maybe it was super glued onto her head or something. "Your brother is developing into quite the specimen with his psi, very similar to your progression. It's as rapid as yours, but with a bit more finesse and control". Ho ho ho, she chuckled. "Wielding the power of Nature's natural disasters is quite the power indeed. We may have to hasten our experimentation plans on him", she said as she leand towards Blake.

    Blake gave a grin. "Good luck. If he's as strong as he seems in these videos, you have quite a battle on your hands." Ho ho ho, you seem confident." She then flicked her hair once more and walked out of the room.Watch yourself bro. These starmen have their glowing eyes on you.

    Aqua Way
    Mt. Itoi Summit

    After the fighting ended, Aqua ran to Amanda’s side, Deigo was there before her. For some reason his face was flushed. She healed him as well as Kyornik, then picked Amanda up. The tiny girl was also very light. Despite being older than Aqua, she had no trouble carrying Amanda. Despite her dislike for Amanda and her use of psi, she was still part of their team and she would have to be taken care of. Aqua carried her until she reached the rim of the crater. Aqua put Amanda down then made a bed out of all of her clothes that were in her bag. Then, Aqua rolled Amanda onto the bed and covered her with even more clothes. She then used garden in an attempt to heal her and create a hub for everyone else that was in the battle.

    “Salt, watch her for me.” Aqua asked the cat.

    Salt nodded and sat in front of the pile of clothes that were surrounded by snowdrop and snowflake flowers.

    Aqua followed the bridge that lead to the temple at the other side of the crater. It had plenty of holes and gaps, but Aqua could easily jump or pole vault across them. At the other side she found Gon who was standing under the moon, with a look of admiration on his face. His attire wasn’t as shabby when it was hidden in the dark, but lit by the moon. Aqua noticed that he glanced at her, smiling and cheery. He walked toward her, she walked toward him.

    "How do you feel about being the first one to investigate that temple over there?" He pointed at the temple at the other end.

    “Gon, I’d love to. Maybe we can race there?” She joked and smirked.

    "I would say I'll race you, but I know you'll probably beat me. So why don't we just run over there together?" Gon admitted to her. They laughed together, then Aqua took him by the hand and started running, pulling Gon behind her.

    Psi Powers:

    Healing: Aqua’s healing is a simple refresher. It can stop bleeding, awaken partners, heal poison, get rid of nausea, and somewhat heal sun burn. The target must swallow the water in order to work, or be rubbed on injuries.
    Counter: An effective counter. It can easily counter every physical attack thrown at it, but it’s very weak.
    Psi Counter: A psychic counter. It can easily reflect psychic energy back at the sender but is fragile.
    Garden: Aqua's pendant shines a bright green and a garden setting grows around the target and heals them. Apparently, it can also rid Aurora corruption. Due to her dream being cut short, her powers are weakened and she can only produce a few flowers. It seems the attack can manifest in different ways.

    Equipped:

    Pink High Low Maxi: A dress with an uneven cut. It flows in the air freely while Aqua walks.
    Curled hair: Aqua’s hair is in long curly spirals. She looks adorable with this hairstyle!
    Black Boots: Long Boots that travel half way to Aqua's knees. Extremely hipster!
    Yellow Button Up: A long sleeve, yellow button up shirt. Give of a refined air.
    Green Jacket: Something you would see worn by someone cosplaying Chie from Persona 4.
    Thick White Stockings: They even have lace trim and pink bows on them!
    Ice Rod (Pin Form): A pale blue rod gifted to Aqua by an angel. With this rod, Aqua can use Counter. It also makes a very good offensive weapon. The ends of the rod are decorated with a single ice crystal design. When Aqua isn’t using the rod, it becomes a snowflake hairpin that can always be found in her hair.
    Mystic Mirror (Bangle form): A round silver mirror gifted to Aqua by Scheherazade. With this mirror, Aqua can create PSI Counters. A spiral pattern decorates the back of the mirror. Easily stores as a silver bangle.
    Water drop charm: A necklace that has a blue water drop tied to it. It provides endless water for Aqua's restoration PSI. It will however dehydrate and will only work during dire moments of need. Dipping it in clean water restores its powers.

    Inventory:

    Purple Fuel Pod: The energy source of the Victoria model robots. It has two chambers; one for fuel and one for purple dye.
    Potted Salty Flower: A large seed that Aqua took from the Fleshy Flower after defeating it in battle. It rests inside a glass pot that can be stretched to one meter. It is average sized with a large bud.
    x10 Hair band: Aqua carries quite a few of these. It’s fun to change hair styles!
    x22 Bobby Pins: Important for really bad lock picking and for those complex hair styles.
    x3 Pencils: Aqua always likes to keep three; one for her to use, one to stab people with, and a third one for Todd.
    Blue Pen: Aqua’s favorite pen. She always has it resting on her ear.
    Lunch box: It contains a tea bag. What a very simple drink
    School bag: It’s Aqua’s school bag that is stuffed with a towel, shampoo, soap, deodorant, a toothbrush and toothpaste. The pockets are full of video games, two chargers, a 3DS, and a PSP.
    Bag: It contains all of Aqua’s clothes.

    Dalaam

    The floating kingdom was always a spectacular sight at night, with how the clouds around its tallest mountains were purple rather than their usual pink. But this night was no ordinary night. The entire continent, clouds included, now glowed in a rainbow of colours, illuminated by the brightly shining Aurora Mysteria above. Just like in Sunrise last night, and Winters and Quetzal on nights before, in this place the aurora took up almost the entire sky, dwarfing the full moon in its brilliance. Rainbows in the sky, undulating ones at that, at night when there was no rain around for miles? It was odd indeed, and many a citizen stepped outside to marvel or worry at the lights.

    Yes, some did worry. Especially the numerous mystics who told people's fortunes and forecasted the weather there. Most people called the phenomenon the Aurora Mysteria... but they called it the Rainbow Omen. A warning of evil things to come. Things more evil than was ever imaginable, an unveiling of the world's deepest, darkest secret.

    One mystic in particular was telling of such warnings in a hut much fancier-looking than most in Dalaam, though not nearly as fancy as the Fortuna Palace belonging to Prince Rama. Dressed in a silken purple sari, she tapped her tambourine while twirling about in a circle drawn on the floor. More ordinary-looking people clad all in purple stood nearby as well, some of them holding paintbrushes dripping in purple paint. As she danced, she shooed these people away, telling them "for the millionteenth time" that she was not interested in joining the Cult of Purple, but still accepting the coins people tossed into the circle. Occasionally she tossed things around her as well, though these were not coins, but walking stones with twirling cranks on their backs and what looked like Chinese characters carved onto their backs. When each of them landed, they sent up a little puff of purple smoke.

    "Chaos," she spoke in a cool, mystical voice, tossing another stone with each word. "Foreigners. Dragons. Psychic powers. Destiny. Teamwork. Music. Adventure. Judgment. Purification." With a snap of her fingers, her tambourine poofed out of sight, and she stood still. The clockwork rocks glowed and walked about, forming a pattern of lines on the floor with little spindles underneath their cranks. "Banishing. When done improperly, the evil forces that should have been sealed away leak out, and spread their influence once again. Is evil ever truly banished?" And here, she looked up to the Aurora Mysteria, the Rainbow Omen. "Or does it always find a way to loom over us, in a way we never expect?" She closed her eyes and bowed her head. "Such is one of the great mysteries of existence."

    ~ ~ ~

    But while worry was in the air outside, one place had quite a different air about it. Inside the golden Fortuna Palace, which now glittered spectacularly in the lights of the Aurora Mysteria, the prince was pacing back and forth in great anticipation. While others were expecting bad things, he was expecting just the opposite. There he strode, back and forth across a lavish throne decorated with pink cloud puffs and a pink elephant head on the back. The same pink cloud puffs adorned the prince's shoulders and flowed down the back of his otherwise purple satin cape. This prince was truly fond of satin; a low-cut deep red satin robe with lots of ruffles on the sleeves covered the rest of his body, except his scrawny, deep tan calves and oversized bare feet (which were probably an actual foot long) that is. Though his face was naturally long and narrow (especially with those long black locks framing it), his outlook on life was naturally wide and broad... though perhaps too far up in the clouds.

    Atop the throne sat a monkey with a fuzzy golden face, wearing a red satin cap and a miniature version of Prince Rama's pink cloud-covered cape. He certainly was cute, with how the end of his otherwise long tail spiraled around like that of a little piglet. When the prince clapped his hands twice, he stood up and saluted, cooing like a precious little dove.

    "Hanu-Hanu, the new Chosen Ones should be arriving at any moment," the prince spoke, meticulously accentuating every D and T with his perfect ivory teeth, lengthening every E possible with his keen smile. "The traveling mystics have told me so. It is so exciting that new talent should pass through these walls." He clapped his hands again, this time thrice. "Dr. Andonuts!"

    "Er, yes, your majesty," the brilliant mad scientist spoke in his timid, high-pitched voice, emerging from behind a red satin curtain near the throne. He was wearing his usual lab coat, but he seemed to have really made an effort to tidy up before coming here all the way from Saturn Valley. The white tuft of hair atop his otherwise bald head had been combed into a neat little point, his round glasses had been polished to a sparkling shine, and there were no chemical stains on his lab coat--in fact, with how clean it was, it could very well have been a white suit instead. After moving out next to the prince, he set down a briefcase, panting and struggling because of how heavy it was.

    "Well, I do very much appreciate your time in coming here to Dalaam," the prince continued.

    "Ohh, yes yes," Dr. Andonuts replied. "My new experimental teleportation device seemed to work perfectly. Though for some weird reason, it goes all wacky when teleporting someone who's wearing jewelry. My poor Mr. Saturn who happened to be wearing a pendant will likely never be seen again... Er-hem. But yes, the preparations are all complete, and I am ready to show the newbies all about the quest. And also one old one who seemed to have missed the meeting at Saturn Valley. I think they..."

    Dr. Andonuts was cut off by a series of whirring sounds nearby. A group of people, all holding on to animals, had just appeared in the castle, looking a bit disoriented, as if they had just gotten off their very first roller coaster ever.

    "Well, this is perfect timing!" Prince Rama proclaimed, rubbing his palms together. "They have arrived!" He clapped his hands twice. "Hanu-Hanu, go fetch the others."

    The monkey nodded and snapped his fingers, and in a little puff of pink smoke, he was gone.

    ((OOC: For simplicity's sake, I'm going to make it so that Aqua carrying Amanda to safety happened before Diego accidentally kissing her. That will make it much easier for her to react to the latter.))

    Mt. Itoi Summit
    "The Curse Is Lifted... For Now"

    Everyone really seemed to be tending to Amanda lately! First Kyornik carried her to safety. Then Aqua carried her further (surprisingly... though she was very light), to the edge of the crater, wrapping her in extra clothing. And then something surprising happened, all thanks to a naughty little raven named Solstice. The dark-feathered bird pushed Diego right onto Amanda, and he happened to fall with his lips right on hers. Upon impact, Amanda's eyes flew open like doors on a windy day...

    Stars shone all around her in the quiet of the night. There they were, frozen in time, their hearts not daring to beat. Toccata's flames may have numbed Amanda's body before she fainted, but it was this kiss that truly left her motionless. Of course, as soon as Diego realized what had happened, he pulled himself off her, his face as red as a fire truck, too embarrassed to even so much as stammer an apology. Still, Amanda lay there for a few seconds, maybe blinking a few times, but frozen in awe, her face not much darker than the white fuzzy coat she was wearing, her dark purple lipstick smeared from the kiss.

    After several moments, she finally fidgeted, though she did not sit up. Despite what had happened, there was no look of malice on her face--more like that of wonder, of surprise. Then, slowly, she spoke...

    "Diego... You seem... familiar... yet... I know we have never met..." She struggled, but failed to lift herself off the ground. "Owww... my back hurts, my stomach hurts, everything hurts... What's been happening to me lately? Why am I in so much... pain?" Giving up, she rested her head against the hood of her coat, breathing a long yet shallow sigh.

    After a pause, she fumbled around for her wand, lifting her quivering arm upward with it. "PK... PK Fire..." But nothing happened. Her wand arm fell limp. A cold breeze blew over her, and she winced. "...Diego, can you please... help me up?"

    Slowly, as if doing so was difficult, she extended her other hand. Grabbing it, Diego helped her up, though carefully--he didn't want to accidentally kiss her again. Though at this point it didn't seem likely that she would try to punish him with PK Pain or something. Limping, Amanda walked by him, holding onto his shoulder for support.

    "How do you do it?" Amanda asked him. "How do you control the evil within you so well? Does it... have something to do with PSI? Using PSI requires some... form of concentration... some... form of... intent..." She was shivering as she walked, and her teeth clattered as she talked. "The Dracona Minors... They... do not usually interact with humans much. I think I... and someone else... may have been the only ones who ever experienced such an interaction... and... what happened... as a result... was... was..."

    She couldn't finish her sentence. The two were walking, though she did not know where to.

    Mt. Itoi Summit, Crystal Temple
    "This Ain't Mini"

    At long last, the turmoil with Toccata and the Starman had settled, and now everyone's focus was on the Crystal Temple on the other side of the crater. This temple was beautiful at night, with how both the full moon and the rainbow lights of the Aurora Mysteria illuminated the crystals. One could easily tell by touching the temple walls that they were made of ice. At this high an elevation and this cold a temperature, even in the sunlight, the ice would not melt. And the ice stayed frozen for another reason, as the Chosen Ones discovered as they entered through the icicle-filled archway leading inside...

    A gust of snowy wind blew in as soon as they passed through, and it was freezing, more so than the rest of the mountain's climate. Gon immediately noticed the little drop of snot hanging off his nose freeze solid--in fact, he couldn't even feel his nose at this point. Or his toes, despite those thick black boots he was wearing.

    The temple only had one room, large and cavernous and pentagonal. In the center was something oval-shaped enclosed in ice, buried partially in the ground. Despite people's various attempts to break the ice (there were a few cracks in its surface), the ice oval would not budge. It was just about big enough for a large person to lie down in, and there was some faint humanlike shape encased in the oval--though the ice was too thick and foggy for anyone to make out any details about it.

    And all sounds bounced right off the five icy walls of the temple, creating a ringing echo. And boy were there sounds. Chilling sounds. It sounded a bit like grunting, panting, heavy breathing... caused by something that was probably gigantic. These ominous breathing sounds cast deep echoes throughout the room, causing the ground to shake slightly.

    Gon's feet were quivering in their boots, but he dared not take any steps. Over time, the sounds grew slightly fainter, and the room grew quieter... And just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he spotted something. Something bronze-coloured, illuminated in a ray of moonlight, suspended in an icicle-filled chandelier hanging from a chain on the ceiling. The object looked like a disc with a bunch of dots on it...

    "Hey look!" Gon shouted. "There it is! There IS a music box piece in this..."

    "SSSSHHHHHHH!" one of the other Chosen Ones shushed. Immediately Gon clasped his black-gloved hands over his big mouth.

    And for good reason. A deep grumble filled the temple. And then footsteps, each of which made the ground tremble. Silence. Petrified, haunting, deathly, silence...

    And then a mighty ROOOOAR!

    It appeared. A stark white bear of gigantic proportions stood at the far end of the room, rearing up on its hind legs and nearly scraping the ceiling with its enormous height. And then it placed its front paws, each of which bore knife-like claws, on the icy floor, creating cracks in the ground and snaking the ground once again. And then it charged, at all the Chosen Ones, but mostly Gon.

    "King Nanuk," Gon's phone beeped.

    "Ya think!?" Gon commented. That bear looked exactly like a Mini Nanuk, except way bigger. "P... PK... PK Fireworks!!!"

    Gon shut his eyes tight, and sent a burst of fireworks in the mighty bear's face. It stopped the bear in its tracks, but only seemed to do a little damage. The battle was far from over.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    OOC: Okay guys, this is a boss battle. The King Nanuk has LOTS of physical attack power and defense, but is quite weak against PSI and ranged attacks. It also knows the following moves:
    - PK Freeze (which it will announce with a roar)
    - Slashes with claws
    - Biting with its icy fangs (this may freeze the target solid)
    - Roaring, which lowers the target's attack power and may disable their PSI temporarily
    I'm really in a rush to post this, so I'll get more details up soon.
    (OOC: I hope this is fine ^^ tell me if I need to edit anything)
    Erukia Blanc
    Foreside, Eagleland
    Erukia paced around her room with a hastened pace, pondering all of the events that has happened so far. First of all she was able to manipulate the wind, which shouldn't be normally at all. Second of all, all of the electronics in the city seemed to be out to kill her, not to mention some other, disturbing things. Third, it's been a week since the aurora appeared, and her boss fired her. She took a sip of the amaretto bottle she was holding in her hand, ready to go off into a rage.
    "My boss didn't believe me when the damn machine attacked me, and fired me due to insanity. Then he came crying to my fucking door apologizing, saying the refrigerator almost crushed him. What a damn hypocrite, like all men. They're just vile scum who just want to use me, and other woman, for their own selfish desires. He deserved what I did to him, and now he's just a worthless piece of scum. Damned men," she started to yell out, pretending she had an audience in her pigsty of an apartment. After a few more hateful lines to the male species, she threw the alcohol bottle at the wall, causing glass to fly everywhere.
    Erukia just dismissed the mess, writing a note to clean it up later. She had to feed her squirrel, Chestnut. She sorted through her pantry filled with sugary objects that would rot most peoples teeth, and found the squirrel food. Though before she could grab it, a bag of peppermints started to attack her. She quickly created an orb of wind and crushed them, before grabbing the squirrel food and putting it in a bowl.
    "CHESTNUT! Your dinner's ready sweets, where are you my squirrly cakes!" Erukia yelled out, her voice echoing in the relatively small apartment. She looked outside to see the sky starting to dim, and a stampede of wild refrigerators in the streets. She sighed, and started to search for the squirrel, but to no avail she cursed at him, claiming men will be men, no matter the species. She went back to the kitchen to grab herself a White Russian before hearing a voice
    "Looking for?" A high pitched, boyish voice asked. Erukia turned around to see her pet squirrel silently eating his food.
    "THere you are chest-. Wait, please tell me I'm not actually drunk. Seriously, my pet squirrel's talking to me now. A stampede of fridges and wind powers are odd enough, but now talking squirrels. What is this world coming to?" She rhetorically asked before grabbing her beverage, drinking away
    "No Erukia, you're not drunk. I've already seen you drunk enough times. Anyways, apparently you've been chosen for some sort of quest, or something. I don't know. All I know is that I have to take you somewhere very special, then I get to sleep in your boobs again!" He exclaimed that last part in glee, earning a hard smack from Erukia. She sighed and gave her squirrel "You're a lunatic look", before asking him bitterly
    "Fine, it's better than what's happening outside. What do I have to do?"
    "Quite easy, ,you just need to grab a few things, a skateboard, and a rope," Chestnut enthusiastically replied to her before finishing his food. "And I'll need coffee"
    "Why am I doing this again? Fine, I want to be out of here. I'm sure a nice change of scenery would be nice, something much more relaxing... Foreside has too much hustle and bustle for me, even if it does give me a huge supply of men to torture on a whim. That sounds per- wait, did you just say you need coffee? No, hell no, Chestnut, we all know how squirrels get when they have coffee. You're really asking me to punish you," Erukia replied to her pet, sort of unsure about the entire thing, but excited nothing less to leave Foreside.
    "Just trust me on this Rue," Chestnut replied before shooing her off.
    She quickly went into her room and grabbed her purse, and shoved in everything in. Don't ask how she fits everything in there, she just does. Grabbing a loan skateboard and some rope, she takes a swig of her White Russian, and approaches Chestnut with a cup of coffee.
    "Here," she told him, giving him a good smack before having him drink the coffee. The two of them quickly (much to Erukia's dismay) headed down to the street (avoiding angry fat woman and heading down about 50 flights of stairs). Erukia noticed the sun had already set by the time they emerged from the building, but Chestnut's buzz didn't wear off, somehow. She followed Chestnut's instructions by placing the board on the ground, and giving him on side of the rope. Erukia put her purse over her arms and tightly grabbed on to it, feeling a huge boost of speed as Chestnut started to run. The world seemed to be going by in a flash, all the building lights all meshing together into flashing colors. She saw they were about to hit an approaching car, and braced herself for impact, but felt her self going towards a halt, but still flying off the skateboard.
    Dalaam
    She got up and looked around to see Chestnut happily sleeping between her breasts. She looked at the place around her more, and saw a magnificent palace, well, more like she was in one. She looked around to see some others who looked to be in the same situation as her and sighed, finishing her White Russian. Erukia then heard a voice, and looked over towards the direction of the voice
    "Well, this is perfect timing!" A man, looking to be a prince, proclaimed, rubbing his palms together. "They have arrived!" He clapped his hands twice. "Hanu-Hanu, go fetch the others."
    Great, more men... She bitterly thought
    Inventory:
    Purse: An ordinary purse
    Chestnut: Erukia's pet squirrel, who acts more like an accessory to her appearance than anything.
    Foamer: A tool that allows her to make latter art
    Knife: An avarage knife, used for protection
    Barista Cloths: A spare change of cloths for any occasion.
    I look sugary and sweet, but in reality I'm just hollow and rotten.
    Leonardo "Leo" Silverstone
    Fourside Eagleland, Leo's Bedroom
    Leo lay comfortably on his bed. With his homework for the night finally finished, he now had some free time before it was time to go to bed. So, he turned on the Wii U he had gotten for Christmas, and spent his time watching My Little Pony videos on the web browser. He would've used the computer, but his sister Lilly was using it, as per usual... But that was fine, his Wii U had a fabulous web browser anyway.
    He went to Youtube, a pulled up a video. Lately, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic had become one of his favorite shows, despite it being aimed at little girls. According to the internet, there were tons of teenage boys who liked the show, they called themselves Bronies. Sadly, he was the only boy in school he knew who would admit to being a fan of the show offline, but whatever. It was there loss, and there was nothing wrong with liking a cartoon about ponies. Besides the adorable animation style, one of the things he liked about the show was the awesome music.
        Spoiler:- Smile Smile Smile:
    After he had finished singing along with the song that had become his theme song, he discovered he had an uninvited guest. "That was wonderful!" A voice that sounded like it belonged to a young boy cheered.
    "Aw thanks!" Leo replied. He wasn't particularly concerned that there was someone in his room with him that shouldn't be there. "Hey, where are you anyway?"
    "Hehe, down here silly!"
    Leo looked down, jumped a little, and yelped from the shock of what he saw. "GAH!" Staring back at him was a small, golden lion cub.
    The cub waved his paw at the boy. "Hi, how are ya?"
    It didn't take Leo very long to accept that there was a lion cub in his room. Sure, lion cubs don't magically appear in teenage boys' bedrooms every day.Then again, ever since this Aurora Mysteria thing happened, a lot of weird stuff had been going on. He stopped questioning it after a while. At least nothing bad had happened yet... After all it could've been a fully grown lion in his bedroom. Now that would've been a real problem. Besides, the strange events appeared to give him some kind of Psychic powers, and now there was an adorable lion cub in his room. Leo picked up the jungle kitten, gave it a big hug, and cooed over it using a baby voice. "You are just the cutest thing ever! Yes you are! Yes you are!"
    The cub gasped for breath. "Gah! Can't...breathe..."
    At that the boy loosened his grip. "Whoops, sorry."
    "Anyway, there's a reason I'm here. You've been chosen to go on a special quest and...." He was about to say something else, but the human interupted him.
    Once he heard special quest, Leo didn't need to hear anything more. He had watched enough cartoons to know that special quests were always awesome. They usually involved saving the world and doing cool stuff. One a cute animal appears in your room to tell you you are a chosen one, it wasn't the type of thing one turned down. "Great! I'm in! When do we leave?!"
    The cub laughed. "Haha! Your an enthusiastic one aren't you? That'll help. Alright, get your stuff, and we can go."
    "Great! But um... before I do, could you tell me what's your name little guy?"
    The cub looked nervous when Leo asked that question. "I don't have one yet to be honest. I was kind of hoping you would give me one."
    Leo thought for a second. "Oh... well... My name already means lion. So how about I call you... uh... Leo Jr? Or, just Junior so no gets confused?"
    Junior shrugged. "Meh, it's better than nothing. Works for me."
    "Great!" Leo set his new companion on the bed, then ran off to get a few things. He grabbed a few of his essential items that Leo had around his room, and put them all into a simple pink backpack. Once he found everything he wanted to take, he slung the bag over his shoulder. "Kay, I'm ready! What now?"
    "Ok, good. Now, in order to get to where we need to go, we're gonna need to get a running start. You should probably open the door first so you don't hurt yourself."
    The boy did as the cub instructed. Once he did, Leo Jr. lept off the bed, and started running. "Follow meeeee!" And just like that, he was gone.
    "Well... Here goes. One... Two... Three!" Leo took off running. As he ran and started to pick up speed, the world started to become a blur. Thankfully his house was big enough, and was mostly empty right now, so he wouldn't crash into something or someone. After running for a few seconds, Leo vanished in an instant.
    Dalaam
    When he reappeared, the boy found himself in a different place. Leo Jr. was sitting at his feet. He picked up the small lion, and looked at the around. From the look of it, he appeared to be in some type of castle. There were also some other people with animals around, who looked like they were in the exact same situation he was in. He then heard a voice.
    "Well, this is perfect timing!" Someone proclaimed. Leo looked up, and saw a man, looking to be a prince, rubbing his palms together. "They have arrived!" He clapped his hands twice. "Hanu-Hanu, go fetch the others."
    "Oh wow, this is awesome!" Leo exclaimed. He smiled, and waved to the others. "Hi guys! I'm Leo." He then held up his lion friend. "And this is Leo Jr. I know, it's such a creative name right? Heh." He winked when he said the last line to show he was joking. He knew it wasn't. "Anyway, are you all here for the special quest too?! This is gonna be awesome!"
    Aqua Way
    Crystal Temple
    The sudden appearance of the King Nanuk startled the entire team. Gon had started the battle off by shooting a blast of fireworks at the giant bear. Aqua followed his attack by summoning PSI Counters and Counters on everyone. Then, she activated her mirror bracelet, which she quickly changed to their chakram form.
    King Nanuk’s wrath started off with the room getting increasingly colder. Aqua noticed and thought she should tell her team.
    “Guys, I think his roar is his own form of Psi Freeze. We’ll have to be careful not to freeze in here!” She said while dodging a giant, furry paw that was swung at her by King Nanuk. The floor; however, was so frozen that a cartwheel dodge wouldn’t work, so she had to dodge roll instead.
    After creating some distance, Aqua observed the frozen terrain. This would make close combat extremely undesirable. Unless if you were Salt. She had taken it upon herself to jump onto the bear and bit him. This caused King Nanuk to roar once again, further freezing the room; as well as some of Salt’s furs. She quickly teleported to Aqua’s feet.
    Without much else to do, Aqua tossed her chakrams. The swirling snowflakes cut through the air, slicing the bear. They came flying back to Aqua and she caught them, only to send them flying again. She repeated this chain of attacks until the bear countered the attack by slashing at both the chakrams, having them instead crash against the walls. She pulled out her hair pin, activating her rod, which also made the bracelet return to her wrist.
    She knew it would be a bad idea, but she decided to go in close. Using the wall, she pushed herself forward. While sliding on the ice, she slammed her rod against the bear’s muzzle. It all went according to plan. The bear opened its mouth, and roared. Ice cascaded against Aqua, freezing her where she stood. Then her counter activated. The same amount of ice crashed against King Nanuk, making his hairs stand on end. Enrage, the bear swiped at Aqua. Her frozen body collided against the already frozen walls.
    Status: Frozen
    Psi Powers:
    Healing: Aqua’s healing is a simple refresher. It can stop bleeding, awaken partners, heal poison, get rid of nausea, and somewhat heal sun burn. The target must swallow the water in order to work, or be rubbed on injuries.
    Counter: An effective counter. It can easily counter every physical attack thrown at it, but it’s very weak.
    Psi Counter: A psychic counter. It can easily reflect psychic energy back at the sender but is fragile.
    Garden: Aqua's pendant shines a bright green and a garden setting grows around the target and heals them. Apparently, it can also rid Aurora corruption. Due to her dream being cut short, her powers are weakened and she can only produce a few flowers. It seems the attack can manifest in different ways.
    Equipped:
    Pink High Low Maxi: A dress with an uneven cut. It flows in the air freely while Aqua walks.
    Curled hair: Aqua’s hair is in long curly spirals. She looks adorable with this hairstyle!
    Black Boots: Long Boots that travel half way to Aqua's knees. Extremely hipster!
    Yellow Button Up: A long sleeve, yellow button up shirt. Give of a refined air.
    Green Jacket: Something you would see worn by someone cosplaying Chie from Persona 4.
    Thick White Stockings: They even have lace trim and pink bows on them!
    Ice Rod (Pin Form): A pale blue rod gifted to Aqua by an angel. With this rod, Aqua can use Counter. It also makes a very good offensive weapon. The ends of the rod are decorated with a single ice crystal design. When Aqua isn’t using the rod, it becomes a snowflake hairpin that can always be found in her hair.
    Mystic Mirror (Bangle form): A round silver mirror gifted to Aqua by Scheherazade. With this mirror, Aqua can create PSI Counters. A spiral pattern decorates the back of the mirror. Easily stores as a silver bangle.
    Water drop charm: A necklace that has a blue water drop tied to it. It provides endless water for Aqua's restoration PSI. It will however dehydrate and will only work during dire moments of need. Dipping it in clean water restores its powers.
    Inventory:
    Purple Fuel Pod: The energy source of the Victoria model robots. It has two chambers; one for fuel and one for purple dye.
    Potted Salty Flower: A large seed that Aqua took from the Fleshy Flower after defeating it in battle. It rests inside a glass pot that can be stretched to one meter. It is average sized with a large bud.
    x10 Hair band: Aqua carries quite a few of these. It’s fun to change hair styles!
    x22 Bobby Pins: Important for really bad lock picking and for those complex hair styles.
    x3 Pencils: Aqua always likes to keep three; one for her to use, one to stab people with, and a third one for Todd.
    Blue Pen: Aqua’s favorite pen. She always has it resting on her ear.
    Lunch box: It contains a tea bag. What a very simple drink
    School bag: It’s Aqua’s school bag that is stuffed with a towel, shampoo, soap, deodorant, a toothbrush and toothpaste. The pockets are full of video games, two chargers, a 3DS, and a PSP.
    Bag: It contains all of Aqua’s clothes.
    Diego Vendrix
    Crystal Temple, Summit of Mt. Itoi
    "This Ain't Mini"
    Diego remained in silence as he waited for Amanda to do or say something. However, she didn't seem to be mad or anything.
    "Diego... You seem... familiar... yet... I know we have never met..." She struggled, but failed to lift herself off the ground. "Owww... my back hurts, my stomach hurts, everything hurts... What's been happening to me lately? Why am I in so much... pain?" she has been saying. Diego looked veyr concerned as he learned down. He saw her atttempt to use PK Fire, but it didn't seem to work.
    "...Diego, can you please... help me up?"
    Slowly, as if doing so was difficult, she extended her other hand. Grabbing it, Diego helped her up, though carefully--he didn't want to accidentally kiss her again. Limping, Amanda walked by him, holding onto his shoulder for support.
    "How do you do it?" Amanda asked him. "How do you control the evil within you so well? Does it... have something to do with PSI? Using PSI requires some... form of concentration... some... form of... intent..." She was shivering as she walked, and her teeth clattered as she talked. "The Dracona Minors... They... do not usually interact with humans much. I think I... and someone else... may have been the only ones who ever experienced such an interaction... and... what happened... as a result... was... was..."
    Diego was quite surprised when she mentioned his other self. Diego went and proceeded to hug her. Not only to warm her body up from the cold, but also to help rid of some tension and give her some comfort. He hoped it worked.
    "My... dark side was born out of me restraining all my negative thoughts. During an experience with PSI, he tried to manifest himself. I headbutted the equipment, leading to a short circuit and I was electrocuted. That's why I can't wield PSI, but I also seem to have put my other self on lockdown. However, I feel him there. The PSI all around seems to have been awakening it...," Diego says as he keeps supporting her, holding her close to him.
    He didn't mind at all. He enjoyed holding her, much to his surprise.
    "I am not sure of what happened, but everything will be all right," Diego said. "I'll protect you," he added.
    Diego led her to the Crystal Temple as he and Amanda were at the back. Diego looked at the frosty area with wonder. Diego's comfy sweater was good support, but the heat from the Clockwork devices also helped, as the cold air meant he could spam them without fear of overheating.
    Diego then saw Gon point out the piece of the Music Box. However, something also appeared.
    A King Nanuk.
    Solstice was on Diego's shoulder and flew off to safety. Diego got on the Rocket Crossbow on his free hand.
    "Cross Rocket!"
    Diego launched his firework-powered exploding arrows. Diego wondered if the fiery aspect would do extra damage. He also got ready to move. He needed to protect the gorup, especially Amanda.
    Kyornik Arrluk
    Mt. Itoi Temple
    Unbearable Cold
    Kyornik walked into the temple with his friends and Gon found the music box. As he approached it, a deafening roar as well as loud thumping resonated within the walls of the large temple. He looked around, but saw nothing. The room immediately started to get colder, and his psi sense kicked in. Something in the room was using a dangerus psi. His gleaming gold eyes scanned the room for the source, and suddenly he saw it. Out from the shadows of the temple, stood a towering monster. It was a GIANT polar bear. Gon's phone beeped "King Nanuk", and Kyornik could definitely see why. Aqua immediately put up her protective barriers around here comrades, and everyone started to move. Gon let loose a blast of multicolored fireworks and Aqua began throwing magical chakrams at the bear which seemed to annoy it more than cause serious damage. Kyornik realized that he had lost his bat for good this time, and so he needed to improvise.
    The floor was completely covered in ice and slippery. he slid over to a far corner where some long ice crystals were growing out of the floor. When he put his hands on one of them, it felt as hard as diamond. There was no way he could use this as a weapon if he couldn't break off a piece. He gave the crystal a good kick, but not even a shard of ice flecked off. He was about to call out to Aqua for some monster strength assistance when he heard a loud thud and turned around to find Aqua frozen solid on the icy floor. "Aqua!!", he yelled out. He tried to run towards her, but slipped and fell on the icy floor. A giant paw was coming towards her with great strength. "Pk aura!! Psi bolts erupted near her, and she was whisked toward Kyornik, narrowly avoiding the pummeling paws. "Are you ok?! Say something!!" He got no response from her, except shallow breathing and eye movement. "Good enough for now I guess. Hang on, I'll get you someplace safer so you can thaw out. As he scooped her up and slid along the floor, he realized how dire the situation had become. As the only member of their team who could use healing, everyone else was now at risk of becoming incapacitated and not being cured.
    The King Nanuk lunged after his prey, in this case Kyornik and Aqua and chased. Kyornik used his psi to slide along the icy floor, but it was nothing compared to the Nanuk's determination and speed. He turned around to see the monstrous maw gaping with icy drool, shuddering at the super cold mist pouring from its jaws and snapped his fingers. "Pk thunder!!" A bolt fell pretty close to the Nanuk, but not close enough. The boom from the thunder was enough to startle the bear a little as it caused it to stop and sniff the ground where the lightning bolt struck. This is perfect! "Pk Nature!!" Kyornik's golden crescent and diamond array psi bolts flashed around him and Aqua, and he hurled the energy at he King. A brilliant explosion as well as piercing light lances blasted the Nanuk sending it toppling over. "Yes!! A direct hit!!" This seemed to greatly anger the bear, because it then roared a Pk freeze at them which felt worse than the biting cold of Winters in well... winter. "Aaaaagh!! Ooof!!", he groaned. The blizzard like psi sent them careening into one of the many support pillars in the temple. Kyornik felt the cold damage him, but he wasn't frozen at all. He winced, but saw the thin wall of psi that was Aqua's psi shield. The King Nanuk raced towards them with his teeth ready to tear into his meal. There was nothing Kyornik could do but brgace for impact. He closed his eyes and felt the impact of the bear's maw on his body. It was terribly painful, but it seemed to be reduced. When he opened his eyes, he saw the Nanuk chomping down on a counter shield, which shot some impact back at the bear sending it skidding back a couple of feet.
    "Now's my chance! Pk thunder! The bear was within the range of Kyornik's Thunder blast, while still far enough that Kyornik and Aqua wouldn't be caught up in the boom. He swatted his right sparking psibolt arm to the right, causing a bolt to crash onto the bear for good damage. he then swatted to the left causing another bolt to quickly converge upon the frosty beast. When he swatted his arm to the right once more, three sparking psi bolt appeared above the Nanuk and blasted it with three small bolts of yellow and blue lightning striking it for HEAVY damage. It was sent flying into a support column and toppled it over then crashed onto the icy floor skidding into a corner wall with a loud crash. All that could be heard was the sound of shattered stone and a low moan of agony coming from the bear. Kyornik used this opportunity to get himself and Aqua to safety by getting to Gon and the others. "Guys, she's frozen solid. Maybe you could warm her up with some firework Gon or maybe you have something in your arsenal Diego. I'll cover you guys." He looked across to where the nanuk was slowly starting to get up. It's eyes now glowed an icy blue as if it had become possessed by a malevolent spirit. Kyornik eyed a broken piece of ice crystal across the room and grabbed it via pk aura. "Whenever you're ready, your majesty!!!" *insert music* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDOID_oeOTw
    OOC: For this part, I'm just gonna assume that Kat made it safely to Dalaam with her cat deer familiar. Beirut can still do an introductory post, and then follow along with what happens next...
    IC:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Fortuna Palace, Dalaam
    "Coffee and Donuts"

    Three of them arrived. A classy, sexy barista with a squirrel that couldn't stop running circles around her. A sailor girl with a pet deer, of all things. And a faery boy (at least that was Rama's first impression of him) with a lion cub by his side. When they arrived, the crazy prince who was proud to wear pink (and red satin) eyed them in wonder, greeting them and proceeding to shake hands with them and ask them for their names. He wasn't quite the king (or sultan I should say) yet, so he didn't really deem it necessary to be too formal with everyone.

    "Leo, Erukia, and Kat," Prince Rama announced after meeting all the new arrivals, brushing a few strands of his long black hair out of his face. "The messengers of the lion, squirrel, and deer. In a way, you may call me the messenger of the monkey. I am Prince Rama, current ruler of Dalaam while my father is busy on a long meditation in the clouds. Now, I'm sure you are all wondering why you are here. The answer is, you're extraordinary! I'm sure you noticed that within the past week or so, you suddenly became able to do special things. Like this. PK Fire!"

    Several little fireballs flew out of the prince's hand, flying across the throne room and lighting a row of candles placed on a long table at the end of the room.

    "Or this!" This time he pointed towards Dr. Andonuts, sending near-invisible sparks flying at him. Immediately Dr. Andonuts' body went stiff. Then, utilising a slightly different hand motion, he reached out as if extending a hand to shake, and several glitter-like sparkles glistened around the perplexed man in the labcoat. His body returned to normal; in fact he was currently wiggling his fingers around to make sure he could still feel them.

    "These abilities are all called PSI," Dr. Andonuts cut in, though still wobbling about as if he was dizzy, "and there are a variety of them, from offensive techniques like PK Fire, to support techniques like Healing, to others like Paralysis that do strange things like make someone go numb. I have a theory that the appearance of PSI ties in with the appearance of the metallic aliens known as Starmen. But anyway, you're here because you can use PSI, and/or can do other spectacular things to stand up to the strange creatures that have appeared in this world!" He was looking primarily at the two young ladies as he said this last part. "Two days ago, several people just like you arrived at my home in the secluded Saturn Valley, embarking on a quest to undo what the Aurora Mysteria and most like the Starmen brought upon us."

    He opened his briefcase and took out a laptop, which he placed on the same long table where all the candles were. When he turned it on, it showed a picture of himself holding what looked like a miniature treasure chest with a hole in one side of the bottom, and several little protrusions inside the bottom as well.

    "This used to be a music box," Dr. Andonuts explained. But it's empty. Right when the Aurora Mysteria started appearing, a Starman stole it from me and scattered its parts all around the world. But when it's all together, the melody it plays, which is a very ancient melody in fact, dating from before this world even began, has the power to dispel even the strongest evil forces and see right into the enemy we are all up against."

    "What do you mean, before this world even began?" one of the new Chosen Ones asked.

    "Ah, yes," Dr. Andonuts replied. "You see, the world as we know it now is but the newest world that has existed. The old one eventually got destroyed, and a small group of people took refuge in a place called the Nowhere Islands. But even there, a conflict broke out. In the end, the world was reborn, all thanks to a boy who wished for peace and harmony as the Nowhere Islands were destroyed..."
    He proceeded to tell the same story that the storyteller Scheherazade had told the other Chosen Ones in Winters just last night. About how there was a world before this one, how it ended due to humanity's own evils, and how those evils tainted the Nowhere Islands via an army of soldiers dressed like pigs. He even illustrated the story with a slideshow of pictures on his laptop.

    ((OOC: You can read the original story here. Dr. Andonuts' version basically contains the same information, though with the images on a computer screen rather than hovering above a magical star. That post contains a bunch of other story stuff too, but the story itself starts with the sentence I marked in bold.))

    "What a story, eh?" Dr. Andonuts commented at the end. "But, there is something amiss with this story. It is true that the world started out peaceful and clean like how Lucas wanted it to be. However, is it possible that there is residual evil resulting from Porky's pawn essentially awakening half of the dragon that flew on to the new world? I hypothesize that there may be a connection between that and the source of the Aurora Mysteria in this world. However, it's one thing for me to investigate this through research and theories. It's another to actually go out and stop this mysterious evil force. And that is your job."

    Dr. Andonuts then pressed a few keys on his laptop, navigating to a map of the world. Five gear-like symbols appeared at different places on it, each in a different country.
    "Now, there are five music box pieces left to be obtained. If my calculations are correct, the existing Chosen Ones are working on obtaining the one in Sunrise as we speak. Oh yes, that's right, there are other Chosen Ones here before you; the quest to recover the pieces of the music box has already begun. But not too many have answered the call, and that is why destiny has summoned you here to help them out. But I digress. Assuming the old Chosen Ones recover that one piece, there are four left, and you'll probably be looking for the one here in Dalaam tomorrow. The remaining three are in Summers, Scaraba, and Eagleland."

    There was a long pause. This whole time, Prince Rama had taken a seat on his pink-cloud-decorated throne, pulling out a pocket mirror to check for blemishes on his face. He did found one little wart, which he promptly froze off with a whisper of "PK Freeze". But now that the wordy scientist had finished talking, it was his turn to chime in.
    "Oh, are you done, Mr. Coffey Andonuts?" He was rising from his seat on the throne as he said this. "What kind of a punny name is that anyway?" Dr. Andonuts replied with a nod and a sweatdrop on the back of his mostly-bald head. The prince then addressed the new Chosen Ones. "Well, if that's the case, then I have a something special for you: an exciting guided visualisation exercise. Don't worry, it'll be fun, I promise!" Nearby, he heard Dr. Andonuts clearing his throat. "Oh, but first do you have any questions for Mr. Coffey here?"

    Dr. Andonuts heaved a defeated sigh.

    "Unconventionally Blinding the Beast"

    Yikes, this battle got off to a rough start. Especially with Aqua, the team's main healer, being frozen right off the bat (though she did get some damage in beforehand). Speaking of bat, Kyornik didn't have one anymore, so he was forced to unleash his usual flurry of PSI attacks instead. Most notable was his PK Thunder, which actually sent the King Nanuk flying into a column and shattering it. And then there was Diego's Rocket Crossbow, which actually managed to pierce the King Nanuk's thick furry skin and leave a large gash in one of its forelegs.

    Fuming from the pain it was in and the rage induced by being attacked so much, the King Nanuk got back up and reared back up on its hind legs, beating its front paws against its chest. Then it bore down and slammed said front paws on the ground, again causing the ground to shake. But this time, it winced as it did so, for the front leg that had been injured by Diego's firework gave out under its heavy body. Its chin fell with a jarring crash against the hard icy floor, causing it to lay there stunned.

    Meanwhile, Kyornik was suggesting that Gon or Diego try to thaw out Aqua. When Gon heard these suggestions, he looked at Kyornik in disbelief.
    "Fireworks?" He looked briefly at Aqua, then at Kyornik. "Fireworks explode, and they only releast heat in short bursts. They'd harm Aqua more than they'd help her. What she needs is some sort of even heat source, something like fire or hot water or... wait, that's it."

    And then he began shouting. "TEKINA! Kina! Kina!" His voice echoed all over the icy temple. "We need your help over here!" Tekina knew PK Fire, so that was sure to thaw Aqua out if she could make the flames hover above her. So did Amanda actually, but those flames were all dark and weird and didn't produce any heat (they took it away instead, oddly enough).

    Unfortunately, just like when he loudly announced the presence of the music box piece in the chandelier, this caused the King Nanuk to direct its attention at him. It struggled to get back up, but seemed to be having a hard time. Instead, being smarter than the average bear, it proceeded to throw ice shards at Gon, just as Kyornik had done to it amidst his flurry of PSI attacks. One particularly sharp one happened to hit Gon right in the face, causing him to stumble backward and cover his face with one of his gloved hands. While doing so, he peeked out between two of his fingers and extended his other hand towards the King Nanuk.

    "PK Flash!"

    Flashes of light erupted in the great bear's face. Almost immediately, tears began pouring out of its eyes. But given the very cold temperature of the room, the tears froze the instant they came out. Within seconds, chunks of ice covered the King Nanuk's eyes. It could still see, but given the shape of the ice, its vision was multi-faceted at best. In response, the King Nanuk managed to rise to its feet again, charging at Gon and swiping with its claws. But it charged in totally the wrong direction, crashing right into the wall. The ice chandelier hanging from the ceiling swung in a wide circle as a result from the impact.

    Amanda, meanwhile, had regained a bit of her composure and now stood facing the King Nanuk. She had her want pointed straight at it, but nothing seemed to be happening.
    "Drat..." she muttered. "If I could only drain its PSI with PSI Magnet, it'd lose its PK Freeze ability eventually..."
    Giving up, she instead decided to look at the chandelier swinging around, admiring all the pretty ice crystals on it, but mentally bewaring the painfully sharp-looking icicle at the very bottom of it.
    "I've always wanted a chandelier in my room when I was little... But they're so expensive, especially the glass ones, so I never got it..."

    Tekina

    Tekina had been distracted by something when they got there. Densetsu's light was even stronger...and she felt a great power coming from the jewel, stronger than it had always been...but why now...

    She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Gon's voice. The girl ran into the temple and noticed the situation. Instantly, she used a small Pk Fire to thaw out Aqua (not enough to burn her). The priestess then turned to the King Nanuk.

    "Ora no maho!" The familier golden bursts of light appeared around her hands. Quickly, Tekina swiped her hands in a line formation, sending out slashes of the aura towards the large bear.

    And while she did this, Densetsu started to light up a bit more. This didn't go noticed by Tekina quite yet, but anyone looking directly at her could see the much-brighter glow of the jewel.

    ((note: it's not gonna happen just yet. the castle of densetsu thing, due to chats between me and kiruria, will happen in one of the very last countries. just showing that the stronger and brighter densetsu gets, the closer she is to going to the castle inside it. just say that it's a lot brighter than it was at the very beginning.))

    Kyornik Arrluk
    Mt. Itoi Temple
    Giving you the cold shoulder

    Kyornik looked over, and was relieved to see a small flame thawing Aqua out. Whatever was troubling Tekina seemd to have passed for the moment and she was back in action. She pulled off an impressive aura attack that gave Kyornik ideas. He also noticed, that the bear was now blinded due to Gon's pk flash. Diego's attacks also proved invaluable, as the bear sustained an injury in his leg which left a large open gash. Kyornik was running out of power, and no longer had any means to recover some except for Aqua, who was currently being thawed out." What can I do to cripple this thing? It's a shame none of us can use paralysis, but then again pain can be crippling....Eureka!! Pain is crippling, and so is cold. With that large gash on its legs, I may be able to infect it with frostbite. Although it's risky, I have no choice. I need Amanda's help."

    Kyornik slid toward the bear. Its frozen eyes impeded its vision, but it still had its other senses. It sniffed the air, and swiped at Kyornik hitting him hard. "Ouch!!" it then lunged for him, but Kyornik swung his icicle with as much dexterity as his old baseball bat and socked the nanuk in the face. He then slid toward the bleeding gash and attacked. "PK Freeze!!" The cerulean psi bolts flashed, and a snowflake of psi formed in his hands. He pressed his hands to the gash and a katabatic windstorm surged into the wound. The Nanuk roared in pain. and for some reason Kyornik's psi stopped.. Before he could even say "what", a pair of jaws came right for him and grazed him in the left shoulder. He narowly avoided getting his shoulder eaten off, but was now screeching in pain from the assault by the freezing fangs. His protective wards were clearly gone now. The bear hunched over to get to him again, but he snapped his fingers and a pk thunder struck home, zapping the bear. He needed to pour a little more ice into the wound to cause frostbite. "Pk Freeze!" the storm formed once more, and flew into the wound causing a little bit of necrosis and a sickly black and green color to appear in the gash.

    "Pk aura!!" Kyornik levitated the ice crystal next to him, when the bear roared once again and he lost control of his psi. The crystal fell to the ground, and the bear swiped for him. he braced for impact, but the claw stopped inches from his face. The bear was moaning at its infected leg. He quickly seized this chance to run away and headed over to the others. "Amanda, I have a question to ask you. I know that Pk hex can make a person feel ill, and to some dangerous points cause grave consequences. Can it intensify the sick feeling or make it spread? Because if so, your hex and pk pain are just what the Doctor ordered for that beastly patient. Also, be careful. It seems its roar can nullify your ability to use psi."

    Leonardo "Leo" Silverstone
    Dalaam

    After having a meet and greet with the newbies, the princely guy addressed them. He and his scientist friend gave everyone a very long explanation of where they were, and what they had been chosen to do. Leo was most interested in the explanation about PSI, and watching the prince demonstrate a few techniques. That explained so much. He had discovered he could move things with his mind ever since the whole Aurora Mysteria situation, and it was nice to have a proper explanation for that. He wondered what kind of cool stuff he could do with Psi.

    Apparently they were here to recover the pieces of a magical music box, and help save the world from evil! Or something like that. The whole explanation the scientist guy gave was quite long, and Leo's mind drifted off to other things every now and then, so he didn't really pay attention the whole thing. There was some lecture about the history of the world, with visuals on a laptop screen, but Leo wasn't interested in hearing a lecture. He got enough of that in school. He wanted to get out there and do things. He was a little disappointed that he hadn't been called here sooner with the other chosen though. Now there were only three music box pieces left. He had missed out on so much already. Hopefully there were still plenty of awesome adventures left to be had. There was also a music box piece back home in Summers. He hadn't been back home in years. He missed being by the ocean, and now he had a perfectly good reason to go back. Even if he was supposed to be there on business. There was no reason why he couldn't have a little fun while he was there. Leo was starting to get excited, and was itching to start this awesome adventure already.

    When the princely guy finally spoke again, he said something about "an exciting guided visualisation exercise." and promised that it would be fun, which Leo hoped was true. Finally, we get to do something! Leo thought. The ends of lips curled upward, into an excited grin. But before they begun, the prince asked if they had any questions.

    Leo's arm shot up, but he didn't wait to be called on before blurting out his question. "Yeah, so about this Psi stuff. How do we know what kind of PSI we can use?!"

    OOC: This is kind of a filler post for now... I want to wait a little longer before doing the newcomers' part.
    IC:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Crystal Temple, Mt. Itoi
    Tonight was not King Nanuk's lucky night. If that cut on his foreleg wasn't enough, Tekina's aural slashes ("Tekina used Psycho Cut"?) were a major annoyance. They didn't actually cut him, but they did cause him to mutter a disgruntled moan with every strike. And then Kyornik tried to PK Freeze his wound. For a brief moment, this actually numbed the pain there, and noticing this, he let out a mighty roar and tried swiping at Kyornik. The PK Aura-powered icicle Kyornik was preparing for it dropped due to a loss of concentration on Kyornik's part. But by that time, the numbness caused by the ice had subsided, and he felt a sharp pain in his injured foreleg. Immediately he retreated his clawed paw.
    In the time bought by King Nanuk's foiled attack, Kyornik made a request to Amanda, specifically to use her PSI to amplify the wound's effects, so to speak. Amanda gave Kyornik a thoughtful look.
    "Hmm, you're right, that could work," she replied. "It would be a nice compound effect. But..." She hesitated, remembering how she had recently attempted to use PK Fire but failed. But was it worth another try, especially now that the Chosen Ones had a tough battle on their hands?
    She decided to try anyway. "PK Hex!"
    It didn't work. Slowly her wand arm sank back down. Gazing blankly ahead, she pondered what went wrong. Something having to do with how weak she felt, perhaps? Or Toccata's flames? Well anyway, she tried something else, raising her wand again...
    "PK Pa..."
    She stopped short, her face striken with horror. Something seemed to click in her mind, as if she had discovered something quite profound. Her wand fell right out of her hand and landed with a soft clink on the icy floor.
    "...I can't," she finally said, bowing her head in defeat. "I just can't force the same type of agony on another as I have endured myself..."
    She paused for a long while, and her hand fell into her lap.
    "...I'm sorry."
    Not seconds after Amanda had said this, King Nanuk gave a low grumble, moving closer to Kyornik and Amanda. Before either of them could react, he swung with his other (uninjured) foreleg, giving Amanda a good smack with his paw (which was bigger than her face) and making her fall backward into another column of the temple.
    Meanwhile, Gon had noticed something else, as he was rubbing his nose (which had been broken from the thrown icicle impact). The pretty and expensive-looking jewel Tekina was carrying glowed. Not by much, but Gon could have sworn that it looked brighter than it had before. And no moonlight was shining on it, so... well, now is not the time for trying to explain physics. Still, he wondered if perhaps that jewel had some hidden magical properties... if such a thing was even possible.
    Kat Lenoria
    Kat's Boat, Fourside, Eagleland.
    Kat’s boating hadn’t exactly been uneventful like it usually was. The sea was rather calm, which made Kat very happy because she wouldn’t have to endure a harsh environment to boat on. Although, the random “monsters’ shooting out of the sea and around the land wasn’t entirely a good thing.
    Many nights ago, some odd lights appeared in the sky. Kat was on the water when it happened, fishing up her supper for the night. She peeked out the window, as she always did, hoping to get a clear view of the night sky. Although, the beautiful lights shocked her, she still found them lovely and wondered where this pleasant surprise had come from.
    These lights had begun appearing a little after her father went missing, thinking about that made Kat’s arm tense in frustration. She had no clue where he had gone, went missing at sea. She prayed he was okay, but something in her heart told her that the icy waters of Winters had probably already claimed his life.
    She sighed, interrupted from her thoughts by a small grey deer peaking in her ship’s window, it seems while she was thinking her boat had safely docked and a small deer had made it’s way to the side of her ship. She was curious about the deer, they weren’t normally seen around here. She wrapped herself in her parka and made her way out of the ship’s door, hoping to get the deer’s attention.
    “Hey little guy... you’re a long way from home, aren't you?” She asked, approaching the stag with caution before gently petting it’s snout.
    “Are you Miss.. Kat..?” The deer suddenly spoke, startling Kat.
    “Did you just... speak?” Asked Kat, confused. The deer nodded and leaned on it’s front legs, giving a somewhat bowing like gesture.
    “Indeed. You may call me what you will, but for now I would rather like to get a move on.” The deer replied.
    “Uh. Move on to where?” Asked Kat, confused.
    “I’m taking you to the others, my lady. Pack your things and we shall be on our way, I’m sure you’ll learn all we need to once we get there.” The deer replied. Kat nodded and packed a small bag full of her essential needs before coming back to the deer.
    “Now what?” Asked Kat.
    “Well. I need to take you there of course, a running start may be best. You may get on my back while I take you there.” He replied. Kat nodded and hopped onto his back, many questions rushing through her mind. The deer reared up his hooves and ran, before Kat knew what was happening, the two vanished.
    Dalaam
    Kat appeared somewhere new, it seemed to be similar to a castle. Kat hardly had time to get off of the deer’s back before the man greeted them, not even giving her a chance to properly introduce herself.
    The man, who introduced himself as a prince, how was the messenger of a monkey began explaining PSI abilities to them, which are some sort of extraordinary abilities that people possess that allows them to have odd powers. He explained other things as well, like the need to find a certain music box to save the world from doom. Kat wasn’t really paying attention.
    Kat heard the prince finally ask if anyone had questions, which followed a boy basically blurting out in an excited voice. “Yeah, so about this Psi stuff. How do we know what kind of PSI we can use?!" Kat believed that was Leo, and she was actually wondering the same thing. She raised her eyebrows and waited for the prince.
    "Unconventionally Blinding the Beast"
    Diego had spent most of the battle trying to reassmble some more bottle rocket arrows to use against the bear. Beyond that, he would alternate trying to draw his comrades away from fire. He looked to Amanda and noticed how uncharacteristically off vulnerable she appeared. This gave Diego even further drive to protect her. He had finished creating some more bottle rocket arrows so he could continue delivering damage.
    Diego saw that Amanda was unable to fight for whatever reason before he saw her get flung back. With rage, Diego went back into battle and placed the Dormis Inducer on his other hand to try and sleepify the large king bear.
    Regardless if he did, Diego armed himself with the rocket crossbow and proceeded to fire several firework arrows. He saw them rocket toward the enemy and upon piercing it, it exploded for causing a great deal of damage. Diego went over to Amanda. "Are you okay?" he asked her with worry as he picked her up and helped her stand up.
    "I'll protect you," he tells her before facing the King once more.
    OOC: I apologise for the delay, everyone!
    IC:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Fortuna Palace, Dalaam
    "Let Me Take You On A Magic Carpet Ride"
    ("A Whole New World, A New Fantastic Point of View")

    After Prince Rama and Dr. Andonuts finished their little speech, the floor was open to questions, to put things a bit more in the context of a political debate for no explicable reason. There weren't that many, typical for an impatient group of teens and twenty-somethings, but the one that there was stood out:

    "Yeah, so about this PSI stuff," Leo asked. "How do we know what kinds of PSI we can use?"

    A dashing smile spread about Prince Rama's unblemished face. He raised a finger expectantly. "Ah yes, a brilliant question, young lion tamer and sailor scout--I mean girl. You see, the answer to that very question lies in your own mind." The prince took a seat on his throne, crossing his legs upon it and resting his upturned hands on his knees. "You will all soon discover that your PSI potential has been inside of you all along, just waiting to be awakened by the magical cosmic rays of the Aurora Mysteria. If you will all take a seat, please, on the pillows I have conveniently laid out for you."

    Everyone was probably paying so much attention to the prince and the scientist (and their own animal companions) that they completely forgot to look at the floor. An array of round pillows, made of magenta satin and with golden trim all around, sat in a circle before the throne. These pillows as well as the throne all were laid out on the edges of a circular rug bearing the image of a mandala. Anyone who didn't know what a mandala is would have depicted the design as a pattern of crystal blue triangles all weaving together into a bright white centre.

    Once everyone was seated, the prince whistled, a very peculiar and outlandish whistle that could very well have been native to a bird living in outer space. Anyway, when he whistled, this time all the lights went out, save for the purple flames that suddenly flickered to life all around the walls of the room. Somehow, the light from these flames caused most of the room to become dark, not even illuminating the walls or the floor. All that was visible was the mandala rug, the pillows and throne sitting on its edge, and the people sitting on them in turn. As were a lion cub, a squirrel, and a deer, who now seemed to all be standing on empty black space outside the circle. Dr. Andonuts was completely absent from the picture, presumably because science and magic are like oil and vinegar. (They don't mix, but they can combine to make a wonderful salad dressing that tastes delicious atop the lettuce of society... never mind, that's a bad analogy.)

    Instead, a girl no one had ever seen before was sitting in a circle. A very skinny girl in her teens, with curly brown hair, lots of dark makeup, and wearing a black T-shirt depicting the metal band Ravenesque. She wasn't in the room before, so why she was here now was anyone's guess.

    "Do not worry about what happened to your surroundings," the prince spoke, his voice not even echoing on any walls that may or may not have been there. "Indeed, the first step in discovering your true PSI potential is to free your mind from these surroundings. Once upon a time, the great ancestors of Dalaam would awaken such spiritual powers by meditating atop the Mountain of Mu, surrendering their bodies and minds to the spirits of their own ancestors. I will not force such a thing upon you. Instead, I would like you to listen closely to the sound of the bell..."

    Tiiiiiing!

    All fell silent. But not for long. Soon after the ringing of the chimelike bell faded away into the void, music began to drift through. A truly stunning sort of music, designed specifically to lift the spirits of all who listened to it. And it was an odd sort of music, because it sounded different to everyone who heard it. Leo's version was probably the most boring, because it was more chimes similar to the initial bell... Actually, upon closer listen, it was the cute clinking sounds of a xylophone, one of those toy ones a little kid would play with, but played in a harmonious matter. By that time, he was all alone, and a brightly coloured room full of toys and stuffed animals came into view all around him. His lion cub familiar was right there nearby, playing with a bouncy ball with a star on it. And finally, there was a little bed in the corner, the sheets decorated with colourful ponies, a pink-frosted cupcake (baked by Pinkie Pie?) with a sparkly candle on top sitting on the nightstand nearby. Perhaps it was Leo's unbirthday, so to speak.

    For Erukia, though, it was quite different. In a sultry jazz club in a back alley of a rundown city, the mellow, sensual tones of the saxophone gave life to the dimness around her. But nobody was playing the saxophone. She was all alone, save for that one little squirrel lounging back in an ashtray (because the chairs were way too big for it), munching on amaretto truffles from a nearby box. Around that comical scene, the old wooden tables and chares faded away into the dark corners of the room. Erukia herself was behind the bar counter, a myriad of liquor bottles behind her. Among them, a tiny refrigerator containing only a carton of milk stood inexplicably on a shelf. But this was an Italian-style bar, meaning it served alcohol and espresso. A newly-made cappuccino sat on the counter before her, the foam resting on top in the shape of a skull and crossbones. One could only hope it didn't contain any poison.

    As for Kat, she found herself sailing on her boat, riding across the misty late-night waters of Lake Tess in Winters. From somewhere beyond the mists, the plucky country notes of the banjo floated over the waters. Off in the distance, she could make out the silhouettes of pine trees on the now-invisible shore. The full moon was out and shining brightly, though it looked way brighter than she remembered it. It shone from a little hole in the clouds, one just big enough to illuminate her and her boat. Speaking of the boat, on it was a table, atop which a book sat with its pages open and almost glowing in the moonlight. A bowl of rice sat next to it, also nearly glowing. But there was something else there, floating just beside the boat. It was a great monster (well, not that great, about the size of a lifeboat), with a big round back and a long neck, and a reassuringly friendly-looking smile on its face. The monster was looking right at Kat, nodding its head and cooing with pleasure. The gray stag she had met before stood atop its back, giving her a wink.

    And then there was the fourth person, the mystery girl, known to the previous Chosen Ones as Amanda. Her setting was the foyer of a dark castle with cold stone walls. A great black chandelier hung from the ceiling, with purple flames quite like the ones surrounding the Fortuna Palace room flickering on it, threatening to burn up the spirit of any who dared come near it. On the floor, a bright red carpet led up to a raised platform on which there was a throne--not a pink fluffy one like the one Prince Rama had, but a red and black one with spikes on the sides. A little black dragon named Toccata was sitting in this throne, wings threateningly outstretched. Behind the throne sat an organ, grand as the chandelier (if not grander), playing softly in the background... though the organ's massive size combined with the eerie song it played made the floor vibrate a bit. There was the faint smell of split pea soup in the air, invoking a sense of longing in Amanda as she looked back towards a light coming from the direction opposite the throne. But eventually she ignored it, turning back to face Toccata and the organ (what an appropriate combination).

    In all these scenes, an echoing voice pierced the air, calling out to everyone present...
    "Isn't it beautiful?" It was Prince Rama, and yes, he is beautiful... I digress. "You see, everything you hold dear to your heart is right there with you, whenever you most need it. Whenever your world is plagued by pain and fear and sorrow, remember these things. Remember who you are, and what you can do..."

    Just then, there was a card sitting next to Leo's cupcake, a simple lavender one with a unicorn's head on it. It read:
    Dear Leo,
    Sadly, in today's world, people laugh at teenage boys who are into things they deem "girly". However, I am proud of how you embrace your love of all things cute. Don't ever let other people's negative impressions of that get to you. You can influence things with your natural cheer and sense of adventure - it's kind of like moving fate itself with your mind. Remember this, oh, and say hello to Junior for me.
    Regards,
    Princess Celestia

    But something was wrong. The usually-playful lion cub near him was now lying on the floor, bleary-eyed and with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He breathed in wheezing gasps, and his legs twitched about uncomfortably.
    "Leo... help..." he panted, his voice sounding weak. "That ball... must have been cursed or something... I feel sick... and tired... P-p-please, make me feel better..."
    To tell you the truth, I don't know whether to find that sad or adorable. Maybe both.

    Meanwhile, a weird contraption had appeared on the ceiling of Erukia's bar, which the chocolate-stuffed squirrel was now pointing at and squeaking "Look! Look!" On a side note, by this time Erukia had probably noticed that while the bar was functional and all, all the vodka bottles were empty. Yes, all the vodka bottles and nothing else. My theory on this is that the Italians hate the Russians, but I digress. Back to the contraption on the suspiciously-high ceiling. There was a small wooden crate hanging from a wooden beam, and inside it was another vodka bottle--except this one actually looked like it had liquid in it. (Let's hope it's not water. That would just be plain cruel.) Upon closer inspection, the rope from which the crate was hanging was attached to a pulley just above the wooden beam, and then went down and connected to a fan sitting on the bar counter near the espresso machine.

    Currently Chestnut the squirrel was trying to rotate the fan by pushing it around. It did so, but slowly. Then he tried blowing on it. It rotated like an inch before he was out of breath.
    "Well gee," he squeaked, "seems like it takes a gust of wind to blow this thing around."

    And now back to Lake Tess and the moonlit boat. Just a while ago, the book sitting open on the table was written in some strange indecipherable language. But now it was in plain English. The page on the left contained a story about the legendary beast known as Tessie, who looked just like the monster floating beside the boat now, only bigger. According to the story, Lake Tess was named after this monster, and there was rumoured to be a group of people obsessed with trying to spot the beast. Anyway, the page on the right was quite different, looking like it came out of a black spellbook, containing information on how to put a hex on someone. What a weird book indeed. But back to the monster (Tessie Junior?), it stuck a fin out of the water and waved at Kat, making more cooing sounds. Then the deer standing on its back spoke.

    "Hey, Tessie here wants to meet you!" While he spoke, Tessie Jr. made more cooing sounds. "She says... she wants to go ice sliding with you? Did I hear that correctly?" Tessie Jr. nodded. "Um, well, I don't see how that's possible, unless you could somehow freeze the loch. If you're interested, I think there might be a pair of ice skates in the boat."

    ((OOC: All three of you can basically do whatever you want with this scene you're all in after this, since it's just a visualisation. As long as you're not learning PSI outside of what you already chose, that is. Or waking up.))

    And as for Amanda, a smirk played across her face when she heard the word "pain". She didn't know what that mysterious charming voice echoing around was all about (she had never seen or heard Prince Rama in her life), but hearing the word somehow energized her. Gazing up towards the chandelier, she threw her arms open, welcoming the dark scene before her. After taking a deep breath and feeling alive again, she turned back to face the throne... only to find that Toccata was now perched on the back of it, and that a tiny round table stood in front of throne, a wine glass sitting on top of it.

    As she approached and was about to sit down, Toccata pointed at the far end of the room. The light from before (along with the pea soup smell) was gone, and instead a dimly lit clock hung on the wall, showing the time as being quarter to twelve. Instantly Amanda stepped backwards in fear.
    "What's there to fear?" Toccata hissed. "You heard. To focus your PSI, you must reach into your heart and focus on what you hold most dear."

    "YeS, lIkE mE." A warped voice sounded from a corner, and the silhouette of a young man walked towards her. She couldn't see much of him, except the light from the purple flames reflecting off his glasses. "fOr Me, It Is ThE dElIgHt KnOwN aS mAdNeSs. HahAHahAhaHA. wOnDeRfUl, WoNdErFuL mAdNeSs. YoU kNoW iT, mY lOvE." He had reached the throne, and was stroking Amanda's hair.
    "I do," Amanda replied casually, taking a sip of the wine in the glass. "And for me..."

    The clock on the wall had turned into a mirror, and was now close enough so that she could see her face in it.
    "...it is pain!"
    ...Which she instantly felt, surging through her body and her mind as if a mighty cursed sword had impaled her very soul. The whole space distorted, she thought she felt the mystery man caressing her, but soon it all faded to nothing...

    "Breaking the Ice"

    Diego was not at all happy with the way King Nanuk smacked Amanda into the column and knocked her unconscious. He tried to stand her up, but it was no good--she wouldn't wake up no matter what he did. Giving up, he eventually decided to put the bear to sleep with his Dormis Inducer. That was actually pretty easy, as bears seem to have a knack for hibernation. But then Diego made the same mistake he made with the Starman earlier. Namely, firing rocket arrows at him and waking him right back up. Well, at least the arrows did knock the bear to the floor, making him do a belly flop into the ice. The ice cracked, and steam spewed out from the cracks...

    Gon found this rather odd. Steam? In an ice temple? That didn't make any sense! What was beneath that ice anyway? Besides that weird figure-thingy encased in that especially-hard-to-break ice, anyway. Anyway, right now Gon had taken his maroon DCMC sweater out of his bag, and was now covering his bleeding nose with it. He had been thinking about using Lifeup on Amanda, but that was out of the question now that she had collapsed again. Well that was a bummer. Especially since just moments ago she had seemed nicer, somehow. But he noticed something else. Aqua was no longer frozen! She was a bit wet from all the melted ice, but whoo hoo! Silently jumping for joy (he didn't want to attract King Nanuk's attention), he ran over to help Aqua out... but he forgot that the floor was made of ice, his feet lost traction and his legs scrambled around like in an old cartoon show, and fell right on his tailbone.

    This attracted King Nanuk's attention, and he charged in the direction of the thud Gon landed with. But he had an idea. He panicked, muttering visible stammerings of worry as the great bear approached. At the same time, he took his phone out and recorded all that. Then he left his phone on the ice, playing back the recording of him panicking as he himself crawled away in the direction of Aqua. It worked, as the bear swiped at the air above his phone instead of Gon himself. As he crawled, the Essence of Stinkbug he had stored in his bag came rolling out and opened, emitting a pungent smell. Gon may as well have farted just then and it would have smelled the same.

    Before he could say "pee-yew", though, King Nanuk let out a roar. Gon's PSI would have been disabled had he not had the Essence of Stinkbug removing his forgetfulness of special techniques. It cured Aqua's too, for an added bonus. And he was just about to use Lifeup on Aqua when...

    "PK Pain!"

    Amanda had finally woken up, apparently, because her voice rang loud and clear around the temple. King Nanuk cringed as he lay on his belly on the cracked icy floor.
    "Hahahahahaha," she laughed. "It appears that steam is giving you a rather tough time now, isn't it?" She had found the energy to stand, and had her wand pointed at the mighty white (badly damaged) bear.

    And something else happened. Ice cracking. This time in the ceiling, right near the chandelier. Gon had another idea.
    "PK Fireworks!"
    This time his attack was directed not at King Nanuk, but at the chandelier on the ceiling. Specifically, the very top of the chain suspending it from the ceiling. A crack. And another crack. A few ice crystals broke off the chandelier, but that didn't matter. What did matter was that eventually, the chandelier broke free from its attachment to the ceiling and fell down. Remember that long sharp spike on the bottom of it? The chandelier fell right on top of King Nanuk, the spike impaling it right through the chest. Additionally, the impact caused the ice to give out below it, cracking all over the place. More steam came up in the area around the mystery figure in the ice, forming a ring around it. And the ice gave way completely, revealing a hot spring right in the middle of the temple. King Nanuk sank right in, appearing to melt in it right along with the ice and the remains of the chandelier.

    Well, not all the remains of the chandelier. One piece of it, a glass sphere with the dotted cylinder that was a piece of the music box inside of it, floated to the edge, where Gon picked it up and smashed it on the icy floor around the hot spring.
    "Mission accomplished... oww," Gon said as he handed the music box piece to Diego, subsequently complaining about the pain in his tailbone. "Wow... that hot spring feels really nice right now..."

    Conveniently, the hot spring was divided in halves by the icy platform atop which the figure-in-the-ice lay. Actually, by now the ice had melted away, revealing a silver coffin in the shape of a person. A little placard showed just below it:
    R.I.P.
    George Whats-His-Last-Name

    He shall always be remembered for his research into PSI. The impression he left on the world endures, even in the reincarnation of the world. Although he fostered the child who would eventually infect the world, he lives on as a reminder that these strange occurrences have the potential for good as well as evil. "Never forget that even the most troublesome of naughty children can be soothed by music. PSI is not magic. But if there is magic, music is the true essence of it."
    Well anyway, the very first thing Gon did after King Nanuk's defeat was take off his borrowed Santa clothes, and all his regular clothes besides his underwear as well after making sure he was out of sight of the girls. As soon as he submerged himself in the hot spring, he felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and relaxation. The pain in his tailbone slowly faded away. Even his nose started to heal. His head didn't feel all weary like it usually did after using PSI too much. And then he saw the placard on the mysterious George's coffin, and felt even warmer. Magic and music... in a way, George was right. Most definitely right. Ah, if only Ari could be here for this... well, on the other side of the hot spring, of course. They're brother and sister, not a couple.

    Leo Silverstone
    Dalaam Palace, I think...

    "Ah yes, a brilliant question, young lion tamer and sailor scout--I mean girl. You see, the answer to that very question lies in your own mind." The prince said with a smile as he took a seat on his throne. "You will all soon discover that your PSI potential has been inside of you all along, just waiting to be awakened by the magical cosmic rays of the Aurora Mysteria. If you will all take a seat, please, on the pillows I have conveniently laid out for you."

    Leo giggled, and took a seat on the floor. After the explanation, the prince rang a bell, and everything went quiet. It didn't stay quiet for long, music began to drift through. This music souded like the clinking sounds of a xylophone, one of those toy ones a little kid would play with. The room had changed, and everyone else who was there with him had vanished. He was all alone with Junior, and a brightly coloured room full of toys and stuffed animals came into view all around him. Including a plush Pinkie Pie that he just had to hug. "So cute!"

    Junior was nearby, playing with a bouncy ball with a star on it. And finally, there was a little bed in the corner, the sheets decorated with colourful ponies, a pink-frosted cupcake with a sparkly candle on top sitting on the nightstand nearby. Seeing all these toys, the design on the bed, the cupcake, and hearing exactly what song that xylophone was playing, filled Leo with excitement. He couldn't help breaking out into a familiar song while happily skipping around the room.

    All you have to do is take a cup of flour,
    Add it to the mix!
    Now just take a little something sweet, not sour,
    A bit of salt--just a pinch!

    Baking these treats is such a cinch,
    Add a teaspoon of vanilla.
    Add a little more, and you count to four
    And you never get your fill-a~

    Cupcakes, so sweet and tasty~
    Cupcakes--don't be too hasty,
    Cupcakes~ cupcakes, cupcakes,
    cupcakes!

    He finished the song by blowing out the candle, and taking a bite of the cupcake, licking the frosting off his lips. Then he put it down to finish later, and proceeded to kick off his shoes, and jump on top of the bed, and bounce on it. He figured that's what it was there for right? Certainly they didn't expect him to sleep through all of this. "WEEEEEE!" It had been years since he had a good jump on a bed, as he had gotten to big to do it back home.

    Suddenly, the prince's voice echoed through the air. "Isn't it beautiful? You see, everything you hold dear to your heart is right there with you, whenever you most need it. Whenever your world is plagued by pain and fear and sorrow, remember these things. Remember who you are, and what you can do..."

    Just then, he noticed there was a card sitting next to his Cupcake. He was sure it wasn't there before, or at least he didn't notice it before. A simple lavender one with a unicorn's head on it. He got off the bed, picked it up, and read it aloud.

    Dear Leo,
    Sadly, in today's world, people laugh at teenage boys who are into things they deem "girly". However, I am proud of how you embrace your love of all things cute. Don't ever let other people's negative impressions of that get to you. You can influence things with your natural cheer and sense of adventure - it's kind of like moving fate itself with your mind. Princess Celestia

    Leo's face lit up with glee as he held the paper close. "Ah! Princess Celestia wrote me a letter. It's like a dream come true!" Technically, this was a dream, but the boy wasn't the least bit concerned about that. He waved the letter around in the air, and turned to Junior. "Hey Junior, guess what?!"

    But something was wrong. The usually-playful lion cub was now lying on the floor, bleary-eyed and with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He breathed in wheezing gasps, and his legs twitched about uncomfortably. "Leo... help..." he panted, his voice sounding weak. "That ball... must have been cursed or something... I feel sick... and tired... P-p-please, make me feel better..."

    Leo frowned. What kind of person would curse a child's toy? He picked up his new pet and took him into his arms. "Oh you poor poor thing!" He gave Junior a gentle squeeze. Not knowing if that was going to help him at all. Suddenly, his hands started glowing pink, and Junior let out an enthused purr as a wonderful healing feeling coursed through his tiny body. After a few minutes, Leo let go, and the glowing stopped. The lion cub looked good as new. "Oh wow! That felt great. Thank you, so much! I feel much better." He nuzzled against Leo's chest for a minute, before leaping out of his arms, and playing with a different toy. This time, a fuzzy scratching post to sharpen his claws on. After all, lion cubs were still feline.

    Leo looked at his hands in shock for a second before he realized what he had just done. Then his face lit up once more. "Wow! That was awesome!" He threw his fist up in the air.
