And I have to say well done to everyone who actually thought before they voted, because I have to try and make the Dragon Skin and the Bug skin different enough considering they've both got Red Green and White mascots voted in.

Perhaps you could use a few of their Shiny colours as well? Flygon's Cyan and Orange should at least be somewhat different to Yanmega's Blue and Purple.

Hmm, good thought. Cyan and Orange would certainly look better for a Dragon theme than Green and Red. I'll look into it, thanks for the suggestion.

Oh crap. I just realized that Luxray's colors conflict with Lucario's colors (both share the same colors). And since Luxray is going to be the new Electric style...

I'll keep that in mind too if Lucario gets many of the Fighting votes. It's not got many for Steel.

They look cool. but poison looks better than dark, since text is hard to read in the dark style.

It is a bit glaring. I'll look into making it a bit less headache inducing, maybe make the theme a bit greyer than pitch black.

Oh, sorry...I didn't really think about Flygon when I voted Yanmega, it's just Yanmega looks cool and looks like a bug...

Maybe you can use the second most voted if something doesn't work out right? Then we could also have an actual dragon for the dragon skin.

I'll have a go and see what it looks like. I might end up re-polling Dragon, but with choices to pick from. Like Flyong / Shiny Flygon and the 2nd and 3rd choices too. Depends on a lot of factors. I wouldn't like to say for certain what I'll do yet.


Also, an update for you all on what I've done so far.

Flying All ready but for the banner which I'll be making soon.
Grass Again, needs a banner, but I also need to rebalance the 'Jumpluff Blue' which isn't sitting quite right at the moment.
Fire Looking bright and vibrant like the old version, but I need to tweak some of the reds and they're blending into each other and not standing out enough.

I'm hoping to get these three live by Wednesday.

The poison one. IMO, skins are always better when the posts are white (or a very light color,) and you have background colors to compliment the skin's theme.
And the banners at the top. They are not that great, plus, they're kind of blurry.

Most of this is based on my personal preference, but w/e.

Glaceon, Articuno, and Crygonal would be perfect for ice. I'd love to see one of those get voted.

I think he means that since Luxray and Lucario have a near-identical colour scheme (as previously noted), he's going to vote Infernape.

Despite Infernape having a more Fire-friendly scheme itself.

I agree with this as well, especially when viewing conversations on the Dark style and Black and White style. The gray from behind the Zoroark banner on the Dark style or the gray from the Serebii.net style would look nice for both the backgrounds. Also, it won't be straining on the eyes when you're in a conversation with someone.

Another thing, when you go on your main profile page on the Dark style and look on the teal part, it's hard to read the gray text. (the date and time of the VM post) Could you make text black on the teal part, like how it is on this thread when you're using the Dark style?
