The doors to the Egg House were opened with great force, nearly thrown off their hinges, such was the speed with which Keith was entering the Egg House. Meowth was just barely hanging onto his shoulder, but Keith only stopped once he had reached the counter, the Egg in his arms wobbling violently, practically throwing shards of eggshell in every direction. The strangest sound echoed from within- somewhere between a ghostly moan, an evil cackle, and the roaring of a dragon. Keith couldn't tell which it sounded more like,

"So..." panted Keith as he looked at the employee and tried to catch his breath. "I'm guessing... this Egg... about to hatch..."

"Gee, ya tink so?" Meowth asked sarcastically

Missingno. Master: Your male Gible eyes Shadow's Wurmple hungrily.

Keith watched anxiously as the Egg continued to shake violently, finally exploding open, spraying eggshell in every direction. Once Keith felt it was safe to stop shielding his eyes, he observed a small, blue creature standing where the Egg had been. Its huge mouth was open, revealing sharp, pointy teeth, and it was hungrily eyeing up a nearby Wurmple.

"Oh, cool," Keith grinned as he took out his Pokedex. "It's a Gible!"

"Gible, the Land Shark Pokemon," droned the Pokedex. "Gible makes its home in caves warmed by geothermal heat. It pounces on and bites anything that comes too close."

"Hey, pleased ta meet ya, Gible," Meowth said as he climbed off Keith's shoulder and offered a paw to Gible. In response, the newly hatched Dragon/Ground-type simply stared at it for a full minute, before jumping and biting down on Meowth's head instead.

"MEEEOWWWCH!" screeched Meowth. "GET DIS TING OFFA ME!"

Acting quickly, Keith reached and pulled his new Gible off of Meowth's head. Then, his Pokedex spoke up again.

"Although Gible pounce and bite to catch their prey, they will also clamp down on the heads of others by way of a greeting."

"Just like a Victreebel," Keith grinned. "Hey there, Gible, I'm Keith, your trainer."

"Gible?" said Gible as he tilted his head, looking up at Keith. Then, as the Land Shark Pokemon pounced, Keith deftly removed his cowboy hat, but allowed Gible to pounce on his head.

"Youse is so strange," Meowth sighed, shaking his head. "I mean, sure, dat's how dey say hello, but still, why yer lettin' Jaws here bite down on yer head-"

"Hey... that's it!" Keith exclaimed.

"Wat's it?" Meowth asked.

"The nickname," grinned Keith. "For Gible." He pried his new Gible off his head and looked at him. "I'm gonna call you Jaws, how's that?" he asked.

"Gible Gible!" Jaws exclaimed, nodding happily.

"Well, that's settled then," Keith smiled as he produced a Poke Ball. "Welcome to the team, Jaws!" With that, he made to tap the Gible on the head with the ball... and then Jaws jumped up and swallowed the sphere whole. "What the-" Keith began. However, at that moment, Gible turned into transparent red energy, and the Poke Ball within sucked it inside.

"Did yer Gible just get caught from da inside out?" Meowth asked after a brief pause.

"Looks like, yeah," nodded Keith. "Well, it certainly seems I've got myself an interesting new Pokemon."

"Yeah, interestin'. Dere's a word fer it," muttered Meowth as he climbed back on Keith's shoulder. Keith used a nearby towel to wipe the Gible saliva off of Jaws's Poke Ball, then he walked out of the Egg House.

Note: Poke Ball is #7 of 10. Also teaching this TM Flamethrower to my new Gible.

The RNG is determined to make me populate FB with Wurmple and Venipede it seems. Oh well, I know someone who will make a very good home for him. Putting him in Pokéball 10/15 (5/10 from this update).
