I actually think that he'll have an Eevee as his main Pokemon. And in the rematch battle with him he'll change from a normal type gym leader to a multi type gym leader with the Eevee evolving into whatever type is strong against your starter.(Leafeon, Flareon, or Vaporeon)

It would be interesting if that were true, but I just don't see it happening. But to be completely honest, he could have a team of Legendary Pokemon, and he still wouldn't be interesting imo. He's just so incredibly bland.

Especially because of those Crustle... the fact that the Crustle block the way to Route 4 is curious. If we have to double back, maybe Shizui is #4, and Burgh is #3. Maybe we have to go to Shizui to get a squirt gun or water pail or something to pour on the Crustle to make them leave.

Again, what Crustle? I haven't seen a single picture of Crustle blocking the path

I think we won't be heading north to Nimbasa that easily.

I'd like to agree it looks more like the constructed Route 4. Not the fountain, but the desert-like tiles next to the road.

The gym leaders, new and old, better have multi-generational teams. It'd tick me off if they didn't. Just like how in the Johto games, so much potential for teams, but nearly all of them used Kanto Pokes.

I think they will have Pokemon from other regions on their teams, but I think everyone's ace is going to be a Unova Pokemon.

I don't know why Cheren suddenly went from lv 60's pokemon to a Patrat but I guess having as a gymleader is cool, I hope we keep Draydon/Iris as a gymleader(s) since Dragon gyms are my favourite.

He got a Patrat because Gamefreak said so. Its nothing more than that.

You're right. The side of the building looks like the side of a building in Nimbasa, but the fountain does give it away.

If that's the case... it looks like we maybe would be able to get to the desert. Maybe we need to go there to get something for the Crustle? Otherwise, I would guess we would have to travel back somewhere.

The cities aren't mixed. Opelucid City is shown with both so that the map doesn't favor one game or the other.

If I had to guess, maybe they were upset about the construction on Route 4 because of how the humans are occupying their home, similar to how people protest on deforestation to build homes & suburbs. I know that Dwebble were technically found in the Desert Resort but this seems like the most logical idea

Yeah, this would seem like the most logical reason to why they are there. I wonder why the professor is there though.

Not really, otherwise they would have been up in arms when construction started, not finished.
Without knowing how large the Route 4 area is we can't even know for sure if they left side areas for where the Pokemon already were

This is most likely at the newly developed Route 4. It's interesting how this is a Route and there's buildings everywhere. My mind is kinda fuzzy, so if anyone can tell me any other Routes with buildings! Buildings everywhere! Then I'd much appreciate it.

Oh, and this is one of the few reasons why I think from Castelia, we can't battle Elesa until later into the game. There's a high chance she's somewhere in the 5th to 7th range. I personally think we detour to east Unova first through the Skyarrow Bridge.

In Unova, we have Route 4, and the Village Bridge (although it is technically not a route).
Majority of routes have a building or two, but mostly houses.

In Sinnoh, we have the Hotel Grand Lake which is part of Route 213 and Valor Lakefront.
