Lairon is Rock/Steel, which 4x resists Flying moves. You're making the difficulty lower for yourself by abusing basic game mechanics and strategy.
Did you really expect her to be difficult using an Ice type and an Electric type?
More like four Gyms, since it's immune to Roxie, resists Burgh and has neutral Magnet Bomb/SonicBoom, buttrapes Skyla, and SEs Marlon.
Magnemite is like God Tier for an in-game BW2 run, because it comes so early, evolves so early, is useful against like everything, and has access to parafuse.
SKYLA

Trust me. I used a Magnezone, and it wrecked
Why not switch them, that way you can actually see them in the other version.
Swoobat isn't a particularly good flier (and I mean good at literally flying, not that it's a bad Flying type or can't use Fly or anything), plus it's not exactly that graceful. That's why it doesn't fit Skyla. I'll admit, it's kind of a minor thing, but it kind of bothers me that they'd keep this thing and get rid of the one Pokemon on her team that does fit that team (Unfezant).
Quite honestly there are many Pokemon that don't suit the gym leaders. I just don't really think about it like that. I just think about how it contributes to the challenge
Look at Skyla's final would tournament team. That's basically where they put what fits her: Swanna, Jumpluff, Drifblim, Archeops, Braviary, Mandibuzz
The question remains as to why they didn't stick one of those on her new team? Even a Rufflet/Vullaby would have been perfect over Swoobat because it would have given the player a pokedex sighting.
Because they're significantly weaker
Idk I just find that Swanna of hers makes it easy to defeat because it gets rid of her grass resistance and makes it 4x weak to Electric
It also however, gives her something to counter Rock types, and Swanna takes neutral damage from Ice type moves. If someone goes in not planning to use Electric types and instead using Rock or Ice, then they'll probably have a harder time with Swanna. Plus Swanna could still give an Electric type some trouble, they take neutral damage against Water moves(Pure Electric types at less), Swanna could out-speed the opposing Pokemon and get a critical hit in.

Well, yeah. Not needing to trade for Mandibuzz/Vullaby and Braviary/Rufflet means one less potential interaction. Needing to trade for them is one more potential interaction (in other words, increased interaction). It may not seem like much with the presence of the GTS, but for those who don't have Wi-fi access, it's quite the leap.
