I'm pretty sure this is intentional:
On Route 23 there's this whole giant puzzle that makes you go through a maze of trees and battling trainers, then you have to use cut to get to the next area of it. There's a strength puzzle that forces you to start from the beginning of the task at least twice to get past and into the next area, which is the cube cliffs with the bridges. The final item precariously on the last cliff is the TM for Taunt.
I swear, this took me an hour to do (including battling). I can't help but laugh.
So climbing the Tower in Black City...was anyone else surprised to run into the guy actually researching it?
I didn't expect them to actually explain the thing
I had no idea the Plasma Frigate was different depending on the version. O.o
So many little differences GF sprinkled in here and there.
The objectives are basically switched around.
Instead of looking for password clues in the top part of the ship, you've got warp panels and you need to step on the four switches,
And then in the basement, there are no warp panels (there would be warp panels in White 2), and are instead looking for password clues.
Also, Black 2 has 6 cabins (in the top part of the ship). White 2 has 5.
I like the different layouts between versions, especially Rt. 4, they feel like entirely different routes because of how drastically different they are from each other (although that's mainly because White 2 Rt. 4 takes an entirely different path from BW1 Rt. 4 and Black 2 Rt. 4). I'd like to see them expand on that idea in future games.
BW1 had a few area differences, but not quite to BW2's extent.
It was always a mild complaint that the only real differences between versions was the Pokemon available and they've steadily been adding more differences since RS. Making areas different (BW2 also had different Route 4s, Reversal Mountains and Victory Roads in addition to the Frigate & the BW1 differences) is kind of a natural thing to do, honestly.
Well it's nice to know I won't be playing the exact same game when I get Black2
I kind of wish that in the future, they do more drastic layout changes like they did with Rt. 4. Most of the other areas that are different between versions have the same basic layout, but with a couple of paths changed, but Rt. 4 is completely different between the two. Or to be more precise, White 2 Rt. 4 is completely unrecognizable to the other two versions of Rt. 4. Black 2 Rt. 4 actually isn't that different from BW1 Rt. 4.
It would have been cool if in B2 you started in Aspertia and in W2 you started in Nuvema
