I picked squirtle my first time playing it and Charmander my second timeBulbasaur is the easiest to start with and Charmander is the hardest, because of the first few gyms.

I got Pikachu in Yellow but I stored him in the PC at mid-game because he keeps fainting on Sabrina

I believe I always got Squirtle. I love water pokemon.

Charmander on Blue version, every time.

I chose the starters in this order: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pikachu (only played Yellow a couple months ago ;P).

Obviously Pikachu on Yellow but when i first got Red i chose Bulbasaur because all of my friends all picked Charmander or Squirtle
Cerebral Massacre
I got Charmander for the first five thousand times, then I got Squirtle and alternated between him and Charmander for awhile, then finally decided to try out Bulbasaur.
