Shiny pokemon failures

I was in the car, my DS was on red.
I found a shiny bagon in Emerald, I caught it.....
My DS Died on the 'Would you like to give a nickname to the caught Bagon' screen.

I was Sr on my ruby and then I closed my gba to take a break and before I closed it I heard the swift sound and I opened it and it was a shiny poochena too bad I didn't have any pokeballs

I've never personally had a shiny fail. I came close though. In Fire Red I was in the Safari Zone getting some garbage Pokemon then yellow Exeggcute appears (sparkle sparkle). I throw ball. It fails. I throw another ball, IT WORKS! I would have sat in the corner and cried if it had gotten away. I've managed to cath 5 shinies in my GBA games total, never missed one. Ever since the shiny scare, I no longer go in the Safari Zone. It's scary.

But uh yeah about those shiny fails... my sister was leveling up her pokemon then a taillow appeared and once she attacked it she realized it was green then it died... woops.

My first ever RE with a shiny Pokemon was a golden Graveler in Diamond. He used Selfdestruct Fortunately, not 10 minutes later a shiny Chingling appeard and it was successful. I no longer have the Chingling

One day I was battling a really strong guy, who was the 97th trainer of the battle tower in Pokemon Ruby (surprisingly I never manage to get past the 97th trainer and thus can never get the Gold Trophy which you get after beating the 105th trainer )...and the guy's first Pokemon was a Latias, I took it down, his next Pokemon after that was a Moltres...I knocked it down just barely...then it happened...he summoned a Shiny Latios (metallic green is the colour for those who aren't aware).

So what happened after that? It took down all three of my Pokemon, I couldn't even land a single hit. It was strong...and at that point I hadn't caught the Latios in Pokemon Ruby so it was still wandering around... That could have been my Latios... bloody hell...

EDIT: He was a dragon trainer btw, they are always so strong!

I once spent nine hours SR-ing on my Ruby for a shiny Mudkip. No luck. I did, however, find a female Mudkip with an extra hit point and really high stats, so I just gave up and kept her.

i were SR for about 20 mintues for a shiny rayquaza, but did not notice and my brother was watching on my gameboy, and i just SR again and my brother went crazy,
i still dont know if he made it up or was serious,

( i was watching tv at the sametime, and i thought it was going to be a long hunt so i just SR )

first shiny encounter was with a nincada, i didnt know what a shiny was then. so i ignored it. i killed it for the exp. then i looked it up and found out it was rare DX

well the only wild shiny i ever saw was a shiny magikarp at the pond behind blackthorn gym i caught it, but its still a magikarp and if i evolve it it is even more worthless due to red gyrados being the least rarest shiny

but over some trades and such i have acquired a few shinys myself including arceus and deoxys

I've only ever encountered one shiny which was a regular shiny wingull in my ruby. Re-playing emerald just now, found and caught a BLACK SHINY zubat. It sparkles when it's placed in battle, but I can barely find any information on this kind of zubat..... what happened?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I found a shiny Wurmple i actually was trying to get it but then one of my attacks made it faint so that was a failure

My first shiny was way back in the original Pokemon Silver. I ran into a shiny Swinub in the Ice Path. Unfortunately I didn't have any pokeballs with me, so I had to let it go.

I remember when I was playing ruby or emerald I was going to Raquaza and I encountered a shiny Golbat. I didn't think anything of it even though it was green and I never understood why so I just beat it and kept on my way. Later in life I found out to my dismay it was a shiny XP Anyway thats my story from my childhood

EDIT: Oh and I think I was at my grandma's when I ran into a shiny Garados, not sure what happened after, but I do know I didn't catch it

Well, I was minding my own business in new Mauville, you know just helping out the old guy. I see a pokeball on the ground. I pick it up, thinking I will get a potion or something. So I pick it and a shiny electrode pops out! Nuff said. But I got my revenge when I surfed down without the boat and a shiny tentacool pops out. I captured it. Then I played FireRed and my rival somehow got a shiny on his team. That was annoying until I got myself a shiny ponyta. Now I've never had an RE since... I've noticed for me it takes a shiny fail to get a shiny

Every Shiny I've found, I've caught, but my friend had an epic fail with a shiny. On his way to Oldale Town for the first time, he was armed with no Pokeballs, he encountered a Shiny Zigzagoon.... He was so annoyed he didn't play the game for 3 months!

R/S/E are the best pkmn games...
Anyhoo years ago about 2 weeks after Sapphire was released I encountered my first ever Gulpin, was about to flee when realised i just couldn't remember if it was supposed to be blue or green, so i toss a pokéball and catch it, and nickname it GULPIN, turned out to be a Shiny, yey ^_^ I decide to restart Sapphire, so I traded it to Fire Red, really liked Swalot at the time. So I level up and evolve, yeah I saved the game after of course, but didn't realise that... Now i got a Shiny level 42 Swalot called GULPIN. Also, I transferred it to Black. My Fire Red is actually a "Rouge Feu", the french version of the game.
Don't know if this counts as a failure, but it pisses me off, 1# a Shiny Pokémon nicknamed as its pré-evolution. 2# B/W: Pokémon have got one single capital letter in their names. It's so ugly.

I was fishing for a feebas in Ruby and a shiny Carvahna appears. I send out my weakest Pokemon who then CRITS the Carvahna, killing it. I actually didn't know about shinies at the time, I just knew that this Carvahna looked different so I wanted it.
