Note from the GM: Greetings potential RPers. Welcome to Crimson Moon: Valiant Tales, my latest project. I am fairly new at this whole RP gig but if you can look passed that I assure you (or at least hope), you will enjoy yourself.

Plot

This is a non-Pokemon RP. It’s predominantly an action RP with but not limited to mystery/superhero/sci-fi and even fantasy elements. Battles will consist of action-packed-gravity-defying physics and out-of-this world super boss fights! Do not want to spoil much but here is what I can say: You are one of twelve players who were given powers by a mysterious crimson energy radiating from the moon. It is unknown why this happened but strange events soon followed. The world as a whole was completely oblivious at first but one person was well aware of what happened and he was ready. This person not only knew of what happened but he prepared. Private sources funded what was known as Project Crimson, a highly secretive organization dedicated to the study of all things meta-human and paranormal powers. The organization’s main goal was to design a way to counter triple A-rated threats that were foretold to soon arrive. No threats of such level were detected yet but the people at the top of the organization’s command level knew they were coming. Years were spent engineering a classified base known as the Shadow Complex. The technology used to build this facility was beyond anything the public had ever seen or even knew of.

After years of research, a powerful anomaly was detected on the moon. It was soon discovered at the Shadow Complex base that the moon gathered mysterious energy and that it was only a matter of time before it was exerted upon the Earth. The Shadow Complex was equipped to handle whatever happened after what became known as the Crimson Moon Event. Six resonating energy levels were detected and soon after several more. The first twelve detections were ruled as non-threats and the rest were ruled as dangerously hostile. The Commander of the Shadow Complex took it upon himself to approach the non-hostile detections and bring them in to the Shadow Complex. It was believed they were the final piece of the Crimson Project. With the Crimson Project complete, the world would be ready for the great evil that would soon rise…

Ancient myth told of a powerful demon lord by the name of Mephisto. The progression of time would cause his name to be forgotten but his followers would live on in seclusion for centuries. According to legend, “when the moon bleeds, the Chant of Death would open the gates and he will once again rise.” During the Crimson Moon Event a group of monks would dare summon their dark lord…the world would once again know true fear…

Prologue

Fantastic tales of heroes with great power created mythology; tales of terrible beings with terrifying power plagued it. Alas, the world progressed; there was no room for such fantasy. Such stories were buried deep in the ground along with the corpses of those who once carried such knowledge. For reasons unknown, fate twisted humanity’s path. The eternal clock stopped ticking. Change was coming and it approached quickly. The world faces a new era; an era were mysterious powers will be revealed for the entire human race to once again bear witness.

One fateful night a mysterious event shook the entire world. Albeit it caused no harm, it was a sure ominous sign. The moon released a cosmic energy. They would be cast to play the role of saviors and avengers in a world flooded with evil…

The night was cold. Under normal circumstances it would go unnoticed but it was the middle of summer. Something was amiss. The night sky was clear; too clear. Around the entire world, there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. Only the moon was present, high in the heavens. It shined so brightly that people stood in their paths and stared in awe. They pointed at the mystery of it all with curiosity and perhaps even slight anxiety. Just then the moon began to change in color. What people witnessed was truly a sight to behold; the moon transformed into a crimson celestial body of complete wonder. Bzzz… Ghost. ACTIVATE! Bzzz… Reaper. ACTIVATE! Bzzz… Shadow. ACTIVATE! Bzzz … Avenger. ACTIVATE! Bzzz… Hunter. ACTIVATE! Bzzz…War. ACTIVATE! The world will need you…

First Post

You cannot help but look up in the sky at the mysterious crimson moon but as soon as you do, something goes completely wrong. You are levitated a few feet up into the air like if the moon’s gravity was pulling you. You’re suspended mid-air when your left eye begins to burn. There is nothing you can do, you are powerless. A mysterious crimson energy surrounds you and then the pain on your left eye intensifies to agonizing levels. A red seal forms along the edge of your iris and a red cross on your pupil. The cross then begins to spin until it locks within the seal. You have been activated. Suddenly you’re dropped to the ground and everything is normal again…well not entirely but as normal as it could be…for now. The moon reverts to its white color and clouds begin to form across the night sky. As fast as it appeared, your crimson seal was gone.

General Information

You live in Neopolis City. The city is very much like real life New York City, towering skyscrapers and the likes. Technology is essentially where it’s at today. You may choose to attend any school you’d like (you may fictionalize your own name for it). I have no rules as far as where you live either, I only ask that you make it plausible for a person your character’s age.

I will post Chapter One on the actual RP thread with more info and we will go from there. I realize it might not sound like much but I promise this will be one heck of a ride!

Once you were “activated” you were gifted with an “alien armor” made of an advanced alloy that covers your whole body but molds to it. You may design your “battle suit” however you’d like but I only ask that you include what’s specific to your character and that you incorporate mostly black and red colors. Same goes for your character's weapon, you may design it as you'd like I only would like to stress that the weapon itself is made of pure red energy. Yes, get used to me saying "red energy" I know there's no actual such thing but it's important here!

If you have any questions about anything, please, I encourage you to ask. I cannot make this RP enjoyable without your input! If anything is unclear ask me, I’m sure someone else might have the same question! Thanks.

Name: Leonardo "Leo" Silverstone
Codename: Shadow
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Grade: Senior

Appearance: Leo stands at exactly six feet tall. He works out regularly, and while he does not have bodybuilder proportions, he does have a toned athletic physique. He goes outdoors often, so his skin is lightly tanned. He has short, close cropped black hair, with messy bangs that go to his eyebrows. One strand of hair on top of his head that always stands up no matter how much he tries to comb it down. His face is round, and rather boyish, marked by large, expressive electric blue eyes. These features give him a youthful appearance. With the exception of the top of his head and eyebrows, the rest of his upper body is void of any hair. (In other words, no armpit hair, no chest hair, and he has an inability to grow any facial hair. Not that he has a problem with that.)

For clothing, Leo can often be found without a shirt. He used to be scrawny when he was younger, so now that he's put on some muscle, he likes to show off the results. When he must wear a shirt, it will usually be a form fitting red tank top. The rest of his outfit consists of a pair of blue jeans held up by a black belt, and a pair of red and black sneakers with wheels in the sole that can pop in or out when Leo puts weight on his heels, allowing them to function like rollerskates. He carries his things in a simple red backpack.

The "Battle Suit" can't really be called a suit. It consists of black pants, with a red belt around the waist, red ankle boots, and red gloves that go up to his wrists, where long, razor sharp, glowing red energy claws can be unfurled at his will. There is no shirt. Not like it really matters, because the black hooded shroud the suit comes with completely covers up his entire body, including most of his face, save for his eyes nose and mouth, which is hidden by shadows while the hood is up. Though, sometimes, when using his powers, it's completely black under the hood. He really hates being covered up that much, especially because he looks like death when he wears it, but there's not much he can do about that.

Personality: Leo is not what you would expect a person with shadow based powers to be. He is a cheerful, happy-go-lucky young man, with an optimistic outlook on life. He can often be seen with a smile on his face, even when things look bleak. Being an eternal optimist, he believes there is some good in everyone, and is very trusting of others. He will like you, and you actually have to try very hard to make him hate you. A genuine nice guy, he is always willing to help others in need, often putting others needs before his own. However, sometimes he can be too nice, to the point of gullibility, and he is often taken advantage of because of it. Leo likes meeting new people, and making new friends, and he isn't afraid to strike up a conversation with someone new. He is loyal, empathetic, and protective of those he cares about, making him a good friend to have.

He is very energetic. So much so, that he has a hard time sitting still and focusing on one thing for long periods of time. Although he thinks quickly during intense situations, he also has a tendency to jump into things without thinking. Due to his cheerful nature, it is very difficult to anger him, but when he is pushed too far, then he can be quite dangerous. That said, he is quick to forgive those that have wronged him. Holding grudges like that is bad for your health after all. Leo cannot stand the sight of sad people. One someone is feeling bad, he will do everything in his power to cheer them up. Growing up mostly around females, he developed an affinity for things he considers cute, and has tastes that most would consider girly.

History: Leo was born and raised in Neopolis City. His father divorced his mother at a young age. He is closer to his mother than he is to his mother, and he lives with her along with his two younger sisters, whom he is also close to. He was rather scrawny as a child, and he often got picked on by bullies who liked to pick on people they thought were weaker than themselves, and he was an easy target. It did not help that he was a sensitive child. (Boys weren't supposed to like cute things, or cry in public. That stuffs for sissies.) He often came home with bruises on a regular basis.

He was sick of the bullying, so he decided to make a change when he entered high school. He got into sports and working out. Suddenly, things started falling into this place. He was getting good grades, and made a few friends. Puberty was also good to him, and became really popular on campus, particularly with females. Things were turning around, and Leo was generally doing well. Despite all his success, he was still the same kid on the inside, and he never let it get to his head.

Now that he is a senior, Leo began to think about his future. He's not entirely sure what he wants to do after high school, but he does know he wants to do something that will help people. Little did he know, that his life would soon change, and that dream just might come true.

Name: Emilia Diamante ("Mia")

Code Name: Reaper

Age: 18

Gender: Female

School Grade: Senior

Appearance: Emilia is a rather striking young woman standing at exactly six feet. Her straight hair is pale blond and usually tied and clipped upwards in a "spiky ponytail" hairstyle. The rare times she lets it down shows its full length, which reaches slightly past her waist. She also has long bangs that fall partially over her left eye. Her eyes are an icy blue-gray color, similar to a winter sky, her teeth are slightly yellow and her skin is pale and smooth. Emilia's body is lean and lithe, with long legs and ample D-cup breasts. Encircling her navel is a tattoo of a miniature Zodiac circle consisting of the twelve glyphs in black ink, which has the unfortunate tendency of scaring some people who do not understand what exactly it is. Her small, slightly pointed ears have two piercings in each lobe and her left nostril is also pierced and decorated with a thin, gold hoop. Across her left hand are a number of long, narrow white scars, a result of her attacking herself with her drink bottle while drunk a few years back.

Emilia's civilian outfit reflects her interest in dark styles, with nary a trace of pink on it. Her sleeveless, midriff-baring top is black-and-red striped and slightly sheer, showing her black bra inside. Her short black minishorts rides low on her hips, two silver chain belts wrapping around it. This puts her Zodiac circle on full display. She tops off her outfit with knee-high black motorcycle boots with buckles. She wears black leather fingerless gloves on her hands that only go until the middle of her palms and a black choker with silver studs encircles her neck. Her bag is a black leather shoulder bag decorated with silver studs.

Emilia's battle suit is mostly black with shiny red accents, with an almost "magma"- like look and consisting of three pieces. Her top is cropped and black, reaching to just above her midriff and exposing her navel, and by extension, her tattoo. Its three-quarter length sleeves are decorated by several black belts with small red buckles. Long, black fingerless gloves meet the sleeves where they end and cover her forearms and palms, exposing only her fingers. The front of the top is low-cut and the top is held closed by two black belts with red buckles. Around her neck is a thick, black choker with shiny red outlines, giving it the impression of hardening lava. Her bottoms are simple yet sturdy black panties with a thick, armored red belt around it. Her shoes are heeled, knee-high black boots decorated with shiny red patterns over black socks that reach to mid-thigh height. On top of all this is a sleeveless black hooded overcoat, reaching to ankle-length, with a red collar, a red spike rising from each shoulder, a slit up the back and red trimming on its edges. She sometimes opts to put on her hood, while at other times, she leaves it down. The most prominent part of her outfit however, is her mask, stark white in comparison to her dark battle suit. This mask covers her entire face, except her eyes and her mouth and is in the design of an open-mouthed human skull, the open area on the mouth aligning to her actual mouth so she does not suffocate.

Emilia's weapon takes the form of a scythe made out of red energy. The scythe is taller than she is, with a large, red curved blade. Its handle is long and smooth, and its weight is surprisingly light, owing to it being made of purely red energy. Not only is it a threatening melee weapon, but it is also capable of channeling powerful flames for attacking.

Personality: Emilia isn't exactly the smartest person in the world, sometimes known for leaping before looking and forgetting what's important at times. Because she does not always think before she acts, she often gets herself into trouble, and sometimes, even others as a result of her actions, making her a typical "Leeroy Jenkins". She could be a bit difficult on herself because of this, often blaming herself for anything that goes wrong. She is however steadfast and loyal towards those she holds close. She values her friends, protecting them and putting them before herself in whatever she does, even if it means getting hurt herself.

Like a little fireball, Emilia is an outgoing individual and enjoys meeting new people but has a pretty bad gaydar however when it comes to boys. She can be a bit of a tease and a flirt towards guys, especially those she finds attractive (She doesn't have any age specifications. They could be as young as little boys to grown men, and she doesn't have very good taste either.). She also has a rather coarse way of speaking, swearing a lot and using crude language that can sometimes rub others the wrong way. That, coupled with a drinking habit can alienate her from others. Don't be fooled though, as she is surprisingly nice and caring for someone of that sort. She isn't exactly feminine either, being fond of car racing, drinking, laughing out loud and not being afraid to get her hands or herself dirty, as well as being used to sitting with her legs open.

Emilia is rather fond of darkness and the occult, most often seen in her dark, revealing fashion sense and whenever she offers to read anyone's palm or tarot spread. She enjoys this a lot, especially among her friends. She also has a few feminine interests, which include fashion design and cooking/baking, the former evident in the clothes sketches in her notebook whenever she is bored in class. Don't expect her to design anything pastel-colored however, or worse, anything pink. She strongly dislikes the colors pink and yellow, deeming them ugly and disgusting, and as a result, never wears them or designs using said colors.

Emilia, when drunk, can be classified as a "weepy drunk", sometimes to the point of becoming extremely emotional at this state. She pours out all her guilt and secret angers whenever she is drunk and often sobs, even going as far as to accuse random people of random things. This has gotten to extremes when she has hurt herself with her bottle, so people have to be careful around her and try to keep her in check.

History: Orphaned at the age of three, the only family Emilia knew and loved was her adoptive one who took her to Neopolis City, consisting of her two (gay) dads, who were both well-known plastic surgeons. They loved her and spent as much time as they could with her. Emilia grew up trusting them, as they were understanding and open-minded, even being truthful enough to tell her they adopted her out of love. She started kindergarten a few months before her sixth birthday. All throughout her elementary years, she was always asked questions about why she didn't have a mother, which she tried to brush off. Thankfully for her, when she reached middle school, the curiosity died down, due mostly in part to less parent-teacher interaction and more understanding.

High school was both good and bad for Emilia. Her grades weren't exactly the best and she found herself loathing a few subjects, particularly any science subject, only getting good enough grades with the help of her dads' tutoring. She was however, generally well-liked and had a lot of friends whom she'd hang out with. She tasted her first shot of alcohol at fifteen, and liked it, eventually trying out different kinds with her friends. Lately however, her friends have been trying to control her intake, their reason being that she "became weepy" all the time and that they feared that she would attack herself, which by the way, already happened once.

Emilia is currently a senior and has decided to become a fashion designer, trying to get her grades up so that she could enter a good art college where she knows she would get to further her designing skills while still enjoying what she does.
