Cilan won? No way! I guess he deserve win after Skylar.

SuperTeam USA: Me, God, Jesus, Santa Clause and Easter Bunny and Holy Ghost
I can't wait for Pokemon Black 2 and White! Elese and Bugh are back!
Okay that little girl had the worst design for a Pokemon anime character ever! Glad Cilan won though. I just wish he would've used something different for once.
"Do you know the definition of insanity?"
I have claimed the Camel with Volcanoes on its back, Camerupt!
So Cilan was right, won the battle, and got the most screen-time. Burgundy got absolutely no development and was simply used as a prop. And Pinot Noir turned out to be weirder than any other character before him (did he kiss Cilan's hand, or did he just smell it?). Either way, I've had enough. I'm so sick and tired of the writers; they're obviously trolling us by giving Cilan tons of episodes where absolutely nothing happens. Sure, we met an interesting character and Cilan got to help a little girl in a way, but that still doesn't justify the entire episode. I'm sick of Crustle winning. Scratch that, I'm tired of Crustle appearing, period. That thing appears way too often (where's Stunfisk?), and it wins 99% of its battles via hax and DEM. But most of all, I'm tired of Cilan being right. I thought he would be wrong and that it would help him realize that he needs to tone it down a bit, but as usual, his ego was fed. I couldn't even appreciate the little girl and her Foongus at the end because of how ridiculous this entire episode was. Talk about a waste of time. And people wonder why I've stopped following this series.
Aw thanks, well Cilan is my first actual favourite character in the show so I'm no afraid to show my love for him. Ah Pinot Noir actually sniffed Cilan's hand, but yeah I thought it was weird, so weird in fact that I actually watched it more than once. Heck I did that with a lot of scenes in this episode.

Why is everyone so ugly in this show? I almost threw up when Pinot formally introduced himself to Cilan.
Oh yeah and I love Cilan's mind theatre, that guy has such a vivid imagination.
It's funny how I really do want Cilan to get development yet at the same time find him so loveable that I don't care what the writers do with him.
What were they talking about at the end of the episode after Cilan shook hands with Pinot Noir

I knew it. You're a Cilan stan. We discussed this topic before, and you claimed to be neutral, but I knew all along that you only cared about your fave, which is why you spent so much time defending him. So you'll have to forgive me if I disagree with your assessment; there was nothing lovable about him in this episode. He was the same-old Cilan that we see in every other episode. Like someone else said, he technically didn't do much since the little girl had already made up her mind about which Pokemon she wanted; Cilan simply sided with her, which makes the rest of the episode's events completely redundant.
Can the Cilan fans please calm down and can someone please answer what was said about Opelucid city?
In Paradise with Iris and her Pokemon!
Hm, Dent seemed really excited about going to Tachiwaki City. I wonder why.....
Apparently the Gym in Soryuu City is closed. Iris was really pleased about not going there.
Nah, I'm just a positive person who never cares what the writers do with the show. I love all characters equally, it is just Dent stands out the most form me. The reason why I love Dent is because he makes me smile and laugh, nothing more nothing less. Plus I admire his optimism. But all in all every character I have respect for:- Iris, Satoshi, the rivals, I enjoy them all in their own way. And same goes for the Pokémon as well, but the one Pokémon who stands out the most for me is Satoshi's Mijumaru. So yeah there's one human who stands out for me from the rest and one Pokémon.

Then why did you even bother replying to his post. Seriously.
Are you serious? The Gym is closed? Talk about cheap. I thought Ash would discover that the other Gym was closer or something, so he'd skip the Opelucid City Gym in favor of the other Gym. This new development just seems like lazy writing. It shouldn't upset me, but it does for some reason.
Please don't bring up Oshawott. I may like him, but I don't constantly talk about him; it's other people who keep bringing him up because they're obsessed with him evolving. And you can't seriously say that you treat everyone equally, when at the same time you admitted that Cilan stands out the most for you.
I'm sorry I knew that didn't make sense so I edited my post. But I guess I was too late, huh?
I've corrected my post above. And no that's not an attempt at anything, I really do love Oshawott.
Also I have never brought up Cilan when the subject doesn't even involve Cilan, only when it does.
I have a feeling that iris is hiding something from ash maybe she know who the opelucid city gym leader is and don't want ash go to that city just like how misty almost did the same thing in season 1 i am guessing if the writer reuse that idea then iris is from opelucid city that what i am guessing.
i am a ash/misty fan

So where exactly is Tachiwaki City in the anime?

I somehow think the fact the Opelucid gym is closed is going to become an important point brought up later. So I wouldn't get disappointed about that yet, for those of you who are.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this episode. I have decided, however, that all Connoisseurs are just plain strange. All of them. There was sniffing everywhere, and I was like, "I can't understand, what?" Cilan's probably the most normal of the bunch, and that's saying a lot, because he can be quite ... out there, sometimes. I think that's part of his appeal as a character though.
Geez, I don't want to intervene, but just let people do their own thing. If Raptor_Crow wants to like Cilan, then let him like Cilan. Everyone has their faves, but there are many who find all the characters likeable. That's the vibe I'm getting from Raptor in this conversation.
