Name: Ian Blackwood
Legendaries/Legendary: Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom
Appearance: Ian about six foot two inches tall, with pale skin. His hair, a pitch black color, is long hanging about halfway to his shoulders in the back, but his bangs are much shorter. Green eyes are the most memorable part of his face, as the rest of his visage is fairly unremarkable. Typically he is always wearing a black jacket, on the right side of the chest of which is silver Absol, the pockets of which seem to contain everything he ever needs. Underneath Ian wears black pants and a black long-sleeved shirt. He also wears a pair of black fingerless gloves, with Virizon embroidered on the back in silver threads. His boots round out his all black look, are black as well.
Personality: Ian is a cold and reserved, keeping the world at arms length at all times. He tries his best to never show emotion in public, regardless of what happens around him. Even among his few friends, Ian is very reserved and rarely speaks out to anyone. Behind his cold exterior, Ian is calm and calculating, always looking for a way to completely his own goals. He is willing to listen to anything you want to tell him, and will keep any secrets confided in him until the day he dies, unless told he can do otherwise.
Ian despises politicians, and any real government official, mostly because he feels that they are untruthful and need to be removed from office as soon as possible. This is just part of Ian’s complicated morals, which range from honesty, to being true to those ideals you believe in.
In keeping with his cold nature, Ian is a ruthless battler, and brutal tactician. In his normal life, Ian is constantly planning, thinking, and treats everything like it could be dangerous. Many people accuse Ian of lacking mercy, to which he responds that mercy makes you weaker, which highlights that fact that Ian doesn’t care what others think of him in the least.
History: Ian was born near the Opelucid City of Unova, but he never lived in one place for a very long time, mostly because his father had to constantly move for his job. Since he never lived in one place very long, Ian never really made any friends, except for his a Ralts that his father found to keep Ian company when he was at work, his cold and reserved attitude was founded very early. When he was nine, he almost literally ran over Kyurem in the streets, drawing the attention of the Tao trio to him after the Ice type dragon took a liking to him.
Ian began his Pokémon journey at age ten just like everyone else, but contrary to his peers, Ian was far more successful than anyone else. His ruthless battle style allowed his to be able to challenge the Elite Four in only a year and a half, however he did not take that challenge for another three years, opting to travel instead.
When he returned to Unova, Ian took the Elite Four by complete surprise, having spent the three years training and planning, he systematically decimated them, right up until his battle with Champion. Having only used five of his Pokémon in the previous battles, Ian was confident in his victory. The resulting battle lasted almost two hours, with both trainers going back and forth until at last; Ian stood victorious, if only because the Champions sixth Pokémon fainted half a second before his own.
In the years following his victory, Ian traveled around the world, getting stronger after learning that Unova’s League was the weakest of the regions. When he received his letter, Ian was skeptical, and only believed what is said because he had literally ran into Kyurem when he was younger.
With his curiosity piqued, Ian traveled to Ever Grande City, determined to discover what was going on.
Other: Ian enjoys reading, writing and has some skill in things to do with computers.
Moves: Psycho Cut, Swords Dance, Close Combat, Thunderpunch, Leaf Blade, Stone Edge, Night Slash, Heal Pulse, Teleport, Ice Punch, Aerial Ace
Appearance: Cyrus is a normal Gallade, except for the scar across his right eye.
Personality: Cyrus is reserved, like his master, but still very honorable. Not only is he honorable, but his is loyal, to Ian and Ian only, and will do whatever Ian asks of him, so long as it is within the bounds of his view of honor. This created some problems at first between the two, until Cyrus saw that Ian was correct in some cases, and Ian agreed with Cyrus in others.
In battle, Cyrus is to be feared, Teleporting in your face and unleashing a barrage of attacks, before disappearing in a blink of an eye. His ruthlessness matches well with Ian’s highly tactical battle style, making the pair of them very hard to defeat.
History: Cyrus is the Ralts that Ian’s father caught for his when Ian was younger, and is one of Ian’s only ‘friends’. While not Ian’s strongest Pokémon, he is the most wiling to follow Ian’s strange tactics.
Moves: Blizzard, Hail, Thunder Bolt, Ice Beam, Protect, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Weather Ball, Rain Dance
Appearance: Emily looks like a normal Froslass in all respects.
Personality: Emily is much more outgoing than Ian or Cyrus, and also is very compassionate. This means that she often has long disagreements with her trainer over the appropriate way to battle at very inopportune tine.
Emily is a skilled battler, but does not like the fact that Ian prefers to utterly crush his foe rather than just defeat them. This comes from her more caring and gentle view of life, along with the fact she isn’t really willing to hurt someone who hasn’t done anything to warrant getting the tar beat out of them.
History: Ian captured Emily during his three year training period, and she quickly became a fixture on his main team, because despite her differences with Ian, she is still very skilled.
Moves: Crunch, Thunder Fang, Thunder, Discharge, Magnet Rise, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Double Team, Thunder Wave, Iron Tail
Personality: Leon is outgoing and loyal to a fault. If Ian says jump he asks how high, and then jumps before Ian can answer. In Leon’s eyes, his trainer can do no wrong; even if Ian were to kill his family it is probable that Leon would find some way to justify it, even if Ian didn’t justify the action himself.
This loyalty makes Leon one of Ian’s most trusted Pokémon, but that is overshadowed by Leon’s fierce battle skill. Much like Cyrus, Leon is extremely ruthless in battle, but instead of teleporting assaults, Leon paralyzes his foes and then attacks using a mixture of physical and special moves at point blank range for maximum affect.
History: Leon is one of the youngest Pokémon on Ian’s team, having been captured only a few years before everything started to blow up.
Moves: Extrasensory, Blue Flare, Dragon Pulse, Ancient Power, Slash
Personality: Reshiram is somewhat arrogant, with a serious chip on his shoulder. He cares little for what skills others have, thinking himself to be more important than they are.
He is wiling to work with Ian, but thinks little of Ian’s abilities, largely working with him because Ian is a firm believer in truth. Still if Ian has a question Reshiram will do his best to answer it.
Powers: Reshiram gave Ian the power to manipulate fire to a degree, but only very small things, such as creating a golf ball sized fireball. More importantly, he gifted Ian with increased energy, meaning that Ian only has to sleep for a few hours every few days in order to remain well rested.
Moves: Bolt Strike, Zen Headbutt, Ancient Power, Dragon Claw, Crunch
Personality: Zekrom is far more accepting of the newest set of events than either of his counterparts. She is perfectly willing to work with Ian than of her counterparts, fully understanding the implications of what could happen if the Holy Warriors succeed in what they are doing.
Unlike her counterparts, Zekrom enjoys making bad jokes and occasionally good ones. She enjoys some of the finer things in life, such as actually having fun, and likes to read science fiction novels. If she gets too bored, Zekrom will also destroy things; she is something of a pyromaniac, which doesn’t make much sense, something she admits freely.
Powers: Zekrom has given Ian the ability to manipulate lightning on a small scale. While he cannot throw full blown lightning bolts, Ian can do smaller things, such as cover his body in a low level electric current, short of electronic devices, or with effort and skin contact use electricity to knock someone out cold. Also with effort he can use the electricity to speed up his movements for a short time.
Moves: Glaciate, Outrage, Ancient Power, Dragon Claw, Slash
Personality: Just like the ice he creates, Kyurem is a frigid character. Almost completely unwilling to talk to anyone other than his fellow legendaries, the icy dragon has little care for what befalls the world, only participating in what is going on out of a pride issue as opposed to general good will towards humanity.
Because of his lack of goodwill towards humans Kyurem is allowing Ian to fend for himself in terms of learning to use his powers. Much like Reshiram, Kyurem will fail to listen to Ian if he feels that Ian is about to do something stupid, but unlike the white dragon he will not warn Ian of this occurrence, and will instead flaunt his disobedience. If by some miracle Ian earns his respect Kyurem will work with him fully but it is unlikely that this event will come to pass.
Powers: Kyurem gifted Ian the ability to manipulate ice, as long as he has water to freeze. The more water he freezes the more exhausting it if for him however, making the concept of freezing an entire lake of something like that highly impractical. Not only that, but Kyurem also modified Ian’s body so that, as long as he has ice to use, he can heal himself of injuries by freezing the affected area. This only works on smaller wounds, and will have some effect on larger ones, but will not heal them completely.
