Default [MtG Casual] Jungle Cats G/W

    Thunder! Thunder! Thunder! Thundercats, HOOOOOooooo!

    60 cards

    Lands (20)
    4 Razorverge Thicket
    4 Sunpetal Grove
    4 Jungle Shrine
    4 Forest
    4 Plains

    Creatures (26)
    4 Fleetfoot Panther
    4 Grizzled Leotau
    3 Loam Lion
    4 Qasali Ambusher
    4 Whitemane Lion
    3 Wild Nacatl
    4 Kemba's Skyguard

    Other Spells (14)
    4 Reclaim
    2 Scout's Warning
    2 Ray of Revelation
    2 Wild Defiance
    2 Test of Faith
    2 Sigil Blessing

I was going for a flash-ambush esque cat deck with some "return to hand" effects as well (Kemba's Skyguard + Whitemane Lion and Fleetfoot Panther). I was going to make a Rhox (rhino) and Elephant deck, but the cards are too costly to make it worth my while (mana cost).

    Hmm...

If you don't have any use for red mana, maybe switch the Jungle Shrines for something that might come into play untapped, or have an alternate use. Also, Wild Nacatl is still usable, but having access to mountains or Lush Growth might help. Then again, what use would the red mana have? Maybe Marisi's Twinclaws, if you have some buff spells. (Hey, Wild Defiance is already pretty useful in that regard.)

I'm not 100% where to take this, but I do generally like where this is going.

Well I do like your suggestions and Lush Growth didn't even cross my mind, but you also made me reconsider using Jungle Shrines and Wild Nacatl. So I went back to take another look at some of the cat cards, and I think I found a few possible replacements for them.

4 Loam Lion (instead of 3)
    2 Leonin Armorguard
    or
    2 Qasali Pridemage

Truthfully, I think Leonin Armorguard would fit better, but I also think Qasali's ability is pretty useful.

I also found some land which could replace Jungle Shrines. They all come into play tapped, unfortunately, but their abilities are pretty nice.

    Turntimber Grove
    Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
    Kabira Crossroads
    Graypelt Refuge

Your deck is good at being defensive, what with all the flash and ambush tactics you have going on, but to really be powerful you need to show these kitties got claws.

A spell I think goes great in that deck is Wild Hunger. It also makes use of the red mana you are neglecting, and allows for a cheap flashback. The boost is secondary to what really matters: the trample. After your opponent notices you are good at ambushes, he will play more defensively and add more blockers; that is where the trample comes in.

If you decide to play cards like leonin armorguard, you might pack up some Haste spells so that his buff doesnt go to waste.

Other cards you should consider, going by deck theme, are Marisi's Twinclaws, Pride Guardian, and... well, thats pretty much what I found. Most other cats are Mirran, meaning they have Equipment synergy, and that is something I dont see this deck pulling at all.

I liked your suggestions, so I changed a few things around to make it look like this.

I added Fires of Yavimaya for the haste, Wild Hunger, Wild Nacatl, and Jungle Shrine.
