In your opinion. It's not a fact. Just because Sceptile is evolved it doesn't mean it's better.

Sceptile has had more impressive victories than the Bulbasaur has. I'd like to see Bulbasaur one shot Darkrai.

Nothing proves that Bulbasaur can't defeat Darkrai. It didn't battle against Darkrai so we don't know. Also, Bulbasaur proved it's strength in the battle against Brandon, who's one of the most powerful trainers Ash has battled.

Also, if you ever bother to look Sceptile's battle record, it has lost really many times (although I admit that Bulbasaur has lost more than once too). For example, it was the fall-guy in 3 of Hoenn's gyms. I'm not saying that Sceptile isn't strong, it definitely is. I just think it's some what overrated.

Here's a source which proves that it's ridicilous to say that Sceptile has very few losses (not saying you did, though):

It did but prove that Bulbasaur can't also do that.

It can't be proven, though it is very unlikely.

Just saying, Darkrai is 10x bigger than Bulbasaur and knows Dream Eater and Ice Beam...

Haven't you watched the anime? It has proved like hundred times that size=strength is not true. Many Pokemon have proved this by defeating their evolved forms. Frankly, I think it's stupid to say that small Pokemon can't do what big Pokemon can do.

And you know, Bulbasaur could dodge Dark Void, which would make Dream Eater and Nightmare useless. And it's Vine Whip and Leach Seed would be very useful against Darkrai and Solarbeam could finish it.

Bulbasaur is ok. I thought he was a little boring at first though.

I was a big fan of Bayleaf, especially back when it was a chikorita. Thing was so cute and just loved Ash to death. Would've liked to see it a few more times post-Johto though... I haven't watched any BW but for that matter I don't think I've ever seen it post-Johto.

The reason I didn't go with Bulbasaur is because Ash has used it so ridiculously much and it just never evolves. Not ragging on it, but pikachu makes sense because you'd need a thunderstone, and charmander is like a maxed out charizard... so I don't know what happened with bulbasaur...

I'm a mixed bag between Bulbasaur, Sceptile, and Torterra. XD I'd say Sceptile has had the most flair since he's what I feel Bulbasaur coulda been. Torterra's another example of that too for a Grass-Type starter that Bulbasaur coulda been by figuring out a new style of combat if he'd evolved into Ivysaur and Venusaur.

    Bulbasaur.
I always thought Ash's Bayleef was kind of annoying.

They all bring back good memories, so I can't say I don't like any... Bulbasaur, Bayleef, and Sceptile would probably be my favorites.

    Bulbasaur is the coolest.

Bayleef was very funny with her crush on Ash.

I picked Snivy. The way she acts, battles, and defends/protects her friends is just plain beautiful. She's smug yet beyond epic. She's like a boss!
