People often do judge by looks before they get to talk with and know a person, yeah. But that shouldn't mean that people should never talk to others just because they look "less" than them or anything. :/

Overrated fads have been around since... always. Next year there will be a new annoying fad replacing the old one. If you don't like something, great. Try to avoid it. But don't use fads as a means to say that good things don't ever come through, because good things have always ended up coming through the fads, which get easily forgotten.

Eh, psychologically, people get more defensive over stereotypes that apply to their race than stereotypes that apply to other races.

Again, just because one person may think somebody isn't ugly doesn't mean that they themselves magically have to not think that they're ugly.

Although people who preach that they're ugly solely to get attention do take it too far, I'll agree with that.

Actually, when people state that they're ugly, full stop. It's more of a compliment-fisher than an actual belief, as if it were a belief, the person would directly ask you on whether they're ugly or not rather than spouting out "Oh but I am ugly though".

People who actually do see something in themselves that other people can't see wouldn't be "desperate for attention" like the way I defined above. After all, if they can genuinely explain what it is that only they can see about themselves, they would have a reason to believe they're (insert negative adjective here) instead of just calling blindly for attention and compliments.

You can't really say whether someone is awesome or not. It's all a matter of opinion, so you can't really say they aren't awesome either.
