To be fair, it's been a really long time. The last Koffing to appear in the anime was about halfway through Sinnoh, and he wasn't the one battling it.

EDIT: Actually, this is the first time he's ever scanned Koffing with his Pokédex. Ever.

- Flash Cannon, fails against Gyro Ball.
- Sandstorm again, fails against Gyro Ball.

Unfezant is up second: A good battle, but the entire poisoning part was fail and didn't lead to anything.
- Aerial Ace hits Koffing
- Will o' Wisp, repelled by Gust.
- Meloetta likes.
- Air Cutter, dodges by Koffing
- Koffing used Sludge Bomb that poisons Unfezant.
- Koffing uses Clear Smog again, it hurts Unfezant.
- Unfezant is rid of poisoning apparently.
- Unfezant is on the prowl! Gyro Ball vs. Aerial Ace.
- Unfezant fails as well.
- Meloetta doesn't like.

Up third: Leavanny: The bug wins!
- Iris, Cilan, and Homika have doubts.
- Energy Ball hits Koffing hard and causes something like an effect on Koffing for some reason.
- Iris and Cilan are surprised.
- Gyro Ball vs. String Shot: Stringshot wins!
- Homika has the omg face.
- Energy Ball hits Koffing hard, knocking it out.
- Meloetta is overjoyed.. Apparently she has low standards...

Fourth matchup: Leavanny vs. Scolipede.
- Razor Leaf does nothing to Scolipede.
- Toxic to Leavanny's face causes it to fall on its rear, poisoned.
- Ending of the episode.
