Eric is quite intelligent and level-headed. In the heat of battle--and under other similar conditions--his wild side is known to emerge. Despite the few times he loses his cool, however, Eric is normally calm and independent. He will not hesitate to help out others in times of need, going the distance to make sure he can lend a hand wherever possible. Eric is orderly and organized as well, and constantly ponders different ways to better himself.
:: Biography ::
Eric Pier led a sheltered life since birth. His parents denied him the right to start out on a journey at the age of 10 as young Pokémon trainers normally do. They believed that the world was a dangerous place, and that it was ridiculous for someone as young as the age of ten to partake on a journey away from home. However, one day his parents' view on the entire matter changed. Eric was walking home from school in mid-September when he heard a strangled yelp emanating from a fringe of trees on the edge of town. Venturing closer to the source of the noise, he came upon a young Growlithe sprawled in the middle of a clearing. It was bleeding badly. Cuts raced up and down the poor Pokémon's body; cradling it to his chest, Eric raced home, promising to help the little Pokémon as best as he could. Once he arrived, his mom and dad helped bandage the wounds, although they didn't know if the Growlithe would survive. Thankfully, though, he did. Over the course of the next few weeks, the Pokémon was able to walk and run around, and even managed to scare off a flock of Pidgey's with his attacks.
The entire ordeal eventually opened up his parent's eyes to the fact that Eric could handle himself in trying situations. Finally, on the dawn of his 15th birthday, they allowed him to start off upon his own adventure.
