Bluesun just got a male Pokémon from Ruri showing the gender isn't locked.

On another note, Black 2 & White 2 reached 2,000,000 sales before Day 10 of release

Now, I don't want to get your hopes up, but there are reports of battling the trainer from the previous game (albeit not with your team, but based on your version of the game...starter you picked)

Somehow missing this from the Japanese launch (I mean really, why would we...who uses Basculin)

The glitch in Black & White which sets Basculin's ability has been resolved in Black 2 & White 2. For those of you not in the know, the way the game sets it out is as follows:

Red-Striped Form Basculin
Slot 1: Reckless
Slot 2: Adaptability
HA: Mold Breaker

Blue-Striped Form Basculin
Slot 1: Rock Head
Slot 2: Adaptability
HA: Mold Breaker

However, in Black & White, all Blue-Striped Form Basculin who had their Slot 1 ability somehow had Reckless rather than Rock Head. Only the one in Driftveil City's trade in Pokémon White had Rock Head.

Black 2 & White 2, however, have fixed this with Basculin Blue Striped Form. Now, when you catch them in the wild, they will have Rock Head if they have their Slot 1 ability rather than Reckless, thus fixing things once and for all.
