Haha, you bring up a good point. Looks like more than half the teams here are using Arcanine. Maybe it's because it looked so awesome in the trailer. Personally, I've been playing since Gen 1 and I've never had one on my team. I've always wanted to use one, so it's about time. It's a bonus that it's available early on. My second choice was Chandelure, but I've had my heart set on Arcanine since the start.

    So far my team is:
    Leavanny
    Arcanine
    meloetta
    swanna

I know I'm using a legendary but I love the design and I haven't used a legend since gen II so I want to try her out. I need a pokemon that knows surf and fly so I think I might use swanna for that. I might use a dragon type and metagross but I'm not sure just yet.

    My team is gonna be:
Arcanine (Outrage, ExtremeSpeed, Fire Fang, Flare Blitz)
Azumarill-Huge Power(Waterfall, Aqua Jet, Aqua Ring, Return)
Lilligant-Own Tempo(Petal Dance, Quiver Dance, Hidden Power, Giga Drain)
Zoroark (Aerial Ace, Shadow Ball, U-Turn, Dark Pulse)
Haxorus (Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Iron Tail, Dragon Dance)
Vanilluxe (Ice Beam, Hail, Flash Cannon, Autotomize)

If anyone has any in-game move set recommendations for any of these six, please let me know, I might use them!

Me too, it also helps that Arcanine is my favourite Fire-type, though!

Everyone you can not get Glaceon&Leafeon until post game! Unless the rock locations have moved! Which I doubt they have!

Take out waterfall on Azumarill and give it Surf. Surf is a better move and you will need it as a HM more than water fall. For Arcanine I would give it something else other than fire fang, keep it a physical move just a different type. Other than that, your team is pretty good. I've decided I'm going to wing B&W 2 as in I will get my team as I go along. Therefore more fun instead of having your whole team planned out IMO. Good luck with your team making and happy BW2 ^_^

I'm hoping to get both versions so I can catch a couple of certain pokemon. But for one version I have a couple of pokemon already planned out.

Since I'll be able to get some pokemon for this team, here's what I'm thinking of putting in my team.

Metagross (Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Agility, Magnet Rise)
Lucario (Aura Sphere, Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse, Calm Mind)
Vaporeon (Surf, Shadow Ball, Aqua Ring, Acid Armor)
Samurott/Serperior/Emboar, depends on which one I choose.
    Azumarill (Will depend on ability)
Ferrothorn (Power Whip, Spike, Iron Head, last attack will depend on what happens)

Question is, can I trade between these games and the original B&W? If so, that's gonna benefit me greatly.
    Also known as SulliMike23, SullyMike23, and Sullimon311

Planned team for Black&White (for now):

My friend code for HeartGold: 2193 0071 6980

My friend code for Platinum: 0776 0346 2328

My White version Friend Code: 2280 4861 4183

People should read the first post and quit asking. You can trade with BW or any BW2 once you get the c-gear after beating cheren. You can not trade with ANY other games until post-game

Suggestions in bold. You could run Hail on Vanilluxe, but Signal Beam might be better since your other Pokemon won't benefit from Hail. Really nice team regardless, though!

If you're planning on getting a team early on, you could use Lilligant (Petilil is available at Castelia City, if I'm not mistaken). If you don't mind waiting until Nimbasa then Roserade is definitely worth a shot. Golduck is an early water type available so you could use that, and it'll have Confusion for Roxie's gym, most likely. I'd suggest Azumarill but it's more physical orientated so maybe not. Otherwise I'd go with Jellicent, because it's brilliant. Swanna could be useful, too, since you don't have a Pokemon to Fly with, asides from HM Slaves. I used one in my black runthrough and it's actually pretty competent. An ice type might be redundant if you teach your water Pokemon a move like Ice Beam or Blizzard. Reuniclus or Espeon for a psychic type, maybe?

But there is a way to avoid the post-game thing. R_N said that after the C-Gear is activated you can send Pokémon to Black and White games.

So in case you're lucky to own two DS or borrow one send the Eevee to Black or White and go to Pinwheel Forest (Leafeon) or Twist Mountain (Glaceon) to evolve him/her.
Hey look, buddy. I'm a Pokémon trainer. That means I train Pokémon. Not Pokémon that are controlled by rangers and then leave them in the wild or be myself a Pokémon. I train classic RPG Pokémon.

    Pokémon teams:
Sapphire Sceptile, Kyogre, Camerupt, Manectric, Wailord, Pelipper.
Leaf Green Blastoise, Machamp, Dugtrio, Golem, Victreebel, Fearow.
Diamond Empoleon, Roserade, Hippowdon, Luxray, Bibarel, Staraptor.
Platinum Infernape, Mamoswine, Gliscor, Magnezone, Gastrodon, Crobat.
HeartGold Feraligatr, Swampert, Blastoise, Torterra, Charizard, Empoleon.
White Samurott, Krookodile, Eelektross, Seismitoad, Golurk, Sawsbuck.
White 2 Oshawott, Magby, Gible, Skorupi, Deino, Ferroseed.

    Favourite types: Water and Ground.

With Huge Power, Azumarill's Attack is doubled so Waterfall with base 100 Attack will be better than Surf with base 50 Sp Attack.

Didn't realize Vanilluxe could learn Signal Beam as I am not up to date with the new Move Tutors, but now that I know, I will definitively put it on Vanilluxe! For Azumarill, I would like to leave Aqua Jet to remedy its low speed and I did in fact consider Superpower, but I don't believe there is a way to have both moves at the same time. I might put Crunch on Arcanine now, the main reason for Fire Fang was for a STAB move with enough PP for all those pesky trainer battles. It's been a constant turn up between Iron Tail or Outrage, I said Iron Tail just because I can breed it onto Axew instead of having to wait until level 66; probably would have replaced it with Outrage anyways, to be honest.

EDIT: Did a bit of research and found out I CAN in fact have both Aqua Jet and Superpower together, but a lot of grueling work will be required, but that's what summer vacation is for!

Yeah, B2W2 was pretty kind to Azumarill and gave it Superpower via level up. Personally I'd use Rock Slide/Stone Edge over Iron Tail on Haxorus because, with Earthquake, you get super-effective coverage on everything Iron Tail gets (Rock and Ice), plus a bunch of useful extras like Fire, Bug and Flying. If you'd prefer to use Iron Tail, though, by all means, go ahead!

    My team for White2:

Volcarona - Always wanted a badass, high-powered fire pokemon. Also you get one at Lv. 35 that means it's early right?
Carracosta - Dunno why but I always seem to have a need for water pokemon
Hydreigon - Who wouldn't want having a monstrous three-headed dragon as a partner? Also my flier lol
Reuniclus - Always was interested in the green jelly but haven't used one before so I'm using it now
Aggron - One of my favorite Steel-type. Gonna breed for Head Smash as an egg-move and give it Rock Head as an ability. Since you could trade anything from BW1 I'll breed it there and leave it at Lv. 10 then trade it over to BW2. I don't want to wait until Mistralton Cave
Electivire -One of my favorite Electric-type. Was supposed to use this when Platinum came out but I ended using four pokemon only, which was Torterra, Staraptor, Floatzel, and Garchomp

To lazy to type in movesets

Serperior. (with some new moves at its disposal, >:3 i'll have fun with Serperior this time around.)
    Coil
    Leaf blade
    Leech seed (???)
Aqua tail (Helps agenst fire, right?...)

    Arcanine. (Its just plain cool)
    Flamethrower
    Outrage
    ???
    ???

    Floatzel (Never used one, actually...heh.)
    Ice beam
    Waterfall
    ???
    ???

Espeon (never used one, and I need a special sweeper)
    Psychic
    Signal beam (???)
    Calm Mind (???)
    Shadow Ball

    Skarmory (...Tank and Flyer)
    Steel move
    Fly/Drill Peck
    Iron Defence (???)
    ???

    Beartic (best pokemon...ever.)

    Icicle Crash/Ice PAAWWNCH
    ???
    ???
    ???

    Yeah, physical based...pretty much.

I already have planned my future (in-game) team for Pokémon White 2
Note: When I said in-game, I also included that World Tourmanent thing at Driftveil

    Samurott, the Formidable Pokémon
    Waterfall
    Megahorn
    Ice Beam
    ???
I'll use a water starter this time (it's only the second time I use one), because I didn't like Emboar in my White playthrough and the Snivy line seems unappealing (though the regal snake gets Aqua Tail, Dragon Pulse, Synthesis...) basically in terms of stats.
There's also another reason why I'll choose a Water starter, since there is a good Fire type in the Regional Dex (will be mentioned later)
Note: The fourth move can be either Dig, Return or Slash (I don't know which move I'll teach Samurott)

    Lucario, the Aura Pokémon
    Aura Sphere
    Flash Cannon
    Dragon Pulse
    ???
Originally Lucario wasn't supposed to be in my planned team, because of Metagross.
I was planning to get the Steel pseudo legendary, however it appears late as hell (Giant Chasm) and appears as a Metang (I wanted to train a Beldum)
Then I planned training an Aggron, but having two 4x weaknesses and low stats in Sp. Def and Speed didn't help him.
Then I saw Lucario's super badass Aura Sphere against the Shadow Triad from the anime trainer and I said "Since I never trained Lucario before and he seems a really good (and badass) and popular Pokémon, I'll try training one in BW2!"
And that's why Lucario enters the party.
Note: The fourth move can be either Dark Pulse or Extremespeed (I don't know which move I'll teach Lucario)

    Arcanine, the Legendary Pokémon
Ability: Flash Fire or Intimidate (I still don't know which one I'll use)
    Flamethrower
    Dragon Pulse
    Extremespeed
    Iron Head
Arcanine is the supreme reason I'll use Oshawott as a starter.
Also I liked training one in HeartGold (with Intimidate) and he's cool.
And there's the main character's Arcanine from the anime trailer.

    Braviary, the Valiant Pokémon
    Ability: Sheer Force
    Brave Bird
    Thrash
    Superpower
    U-turn
Braviary is the main reason why I'll play White 2 (the same reason why I played White as well) and I found out that eagles are a lot better than tiny pigeons (Looking at you, Pidove!)

    Flygon, the Mystic Pokémon
    Ability: Levitate
    Earthquake
    Dragon Claw
    Flamethrower/Fire Punch
    Giga Drain/Roost/U-turn
That's it! My favourite Pokémon! Thank Arceus Flygon gets another chance to shine in a Regional Dex!
Since it's my favourite Pokémon, I'll train one NO MATTER what happens (and be my ace Pokémon, but that's another story) and the Move Tutors were nice enough to giving him Giga Drain and Roost.

    Galvantula, the EleSpider Pokémon
    Ability: Compoundeyes
    Thunder
    Bug Buzz
    Energy Ball
    HP Ground/Volt Switch
Galvantula gets the final spot because I liked training one in White (and because Joltik is so cute) and Eelektross is full of puns (see the Pun of the Week)
Okay, that wasn't a decent reason!
I like spiders more that eels (even the ones which have no weaknesses)

I claim Flygon, the super awesome Dragon

I will buy White2 in America this fall, and I'll use Eelektross, Reuniclus, Chandelure, Samurott, Ferrothorn, and Haxorus on my team. Movesets, abilities, and held items will be determined as I catch and train them. I will transfer over my 4th-gen teams, as well, and make moveset changes based on their 5th-gen movepools as I see fit. I do not have access to a wifi connection, so I will have to rely on GameStop for event legendaries and live without dream world access. I also can't afford a 3DS or DSi, so I can't use enhanced features like Dream Radar or Xtransceiver chat. However, that won't stop me from trading with my BW1 and using their end-game teams to help me train my W2 team.

Serperior. (with some new moves at its disposal, >:3 i'll have fun with Serperior this time around.)
    Coil
    Leaf blade
Leech seed (???) Subsitute(???) Might help if you use Coil behind Sub.
Aqua tail (Helps agenst fire, right?...)

    Arcanine. (Its just plain cool)
    Flamethrower
    Outrage
    ???Close Combat(Egg move)
    ???Extremespeed/Thunder Fang(might help against water)

    Floatzel (Never used one, actually...heh.)
Ice beam Ice Punch (Floatzel has higher Atk)
    Waterfall
    ??? Aqua Jet (priority)
??? Brick Break (???) Helps with Empoleon who resist Water/Ice Combo

Espeon (never used one, and I need a special sweeper)
    Psychic /Psyschock (your choice)
Signal beam (???) Hidden Power Fight (???) For Steels
    Calm Mind (???)
    Shadow Ball
Not enough Special attacks in Espeon's movepool...

    Skarmory (...Tank and Flyer)
    Steel move Steel Wing
Fly/Drill Peck I would go with Fly. You do need a flier
    Iron Defence (???)
    ??? Roost (for recovery)

    Beartic (best pokemon...ever.)

Icicle Crash/Ice PAAWWNCH Accuracy vs Power (not really a suggeston but...)
    ??? Swords Dance
    ??? Superpower
??? Aqua Jet, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Night Slash, Return, Shadow Claw

    or

    -Beartic-
    Substitute
    Focus Punch
    Icicle Crash
    ???

    lol Sub Puncher^

    Yeah, physical based...pretty much.

Aqua tail (Helps agenst fire, right?...)

    Arcanine. (Its just plain cool)
    Flare Blitz
    Outrage
    Extremespeed
    Crunch/Wild Bolt/Close Combat

Close Combat is probably the best option for the last slot, but you need to breed for it so it might not be worth the trouble. You could also use a mixed set (Flamethrower/Dragon Pulse/Extremespeed/Wild Bolt?) since your team is so physically orientated

    Floatzel (Never used one, actually...heh.)
    Ice Punch
    Waterfall
    Crunch/Brick Brick/Aqua Jet
    Crunch/Brick Break/Aqua Jet

last move is preference really. Crunch + Brick Break give awesome coverage but Aqua Jet is pretty useful.

Espeon (never used one, and I need a special sweeper)
    Psychic
    Signal beam (???)
    Calm Mind (???)
    Shadow Ball

    seems fine to me.

    Skarmory (...Tank and Flyer)
    Steel Wing
    Fly/Drill Peck
    Roost
    Stealth Rock/Night Slash/Fly

don't use Iron defence, Skarmory can just shurg off damage with Roost instead. Last move can be for support, coverage or (if you wanna use Drill Peck) a space for Fly.

    Beartic (best pokemon...ever.)

    Icicle Crash/Ice PAAWWNCH
    Superpower/Brick Break
    Stone Edge/Rock Slide
    Shadow Claw/Hone Claws/Swords Dance

Hone Claws if you use Icicle Crash and/or Stone Edge, Swords Dance if you don't. Brick Breka if you don't want the Attack drop from Superpower/want more PP

    Yeah, physical based...pretty much.
Suggestions in bold. Hope this helps.

It might be worth using Detect, Grass Knot or Superpower on Samurott. Flash Cannon is pretty redundant on Lucario too, considering Aura Sphere covers everything it hits for super-effective damage. Perhaps run Dark Pulse instead and Psychic/Extremespeed as the last move. Arcanine doesn't really need Iron Head either; Wild Bolt or Crunch (or if you're willing to breed, Close Combat) might be better options.

I can swap Flash Cannon and put Dark Pulse and Psychic for coverage (a very Special based Lucario) but Extremespeed has the priority.
I'm not a big fan of recoil moves (though I'll train a Sheer Force Braviary with Brave Bird) but I don't see anything wrong in getting Wild Charge.
Iron Head gets a high flinch chance (I'm a little flinch Maniac)
Breeding Pokémon aren't in my plans, so no Close Combat to Arcanine (Are you crazy? Level 47 Zangoose or Level 55 Lucario?)
I claim Flygon, the super awesome Dragon

    This is my planned team

Serperior- I have not used one and I like the design. Seems kinda bulky
    Giga drain
    Aqua tail
    ?
    ?

Arcanine-Seems very popular, but it is my favorite Pokemon, so to train one from the beginning is awesome.
    Extremespeed
    Flamethrower
    Thunderfang
    ?

Lucario-Love this Pokemon and glad I can train it.
    Aura spear
    Ice punch
    Dark pulse
    Calm mind?

Excadrill-This was my main guy through white, so I really like it.
    Earthquake
    Swords dance
    Rockslide
    Brick break

    Flygon-Loved it in emerald
    Earthquake
    Dragon claw
    Fly
    Fire punch/Giga Drain?

I want to get a Vaporeon, but I don't know if a water stone is a available. Anyone know?

Surely a water stone will be available. You could get one fairly early on in B/W.
