Hidden Grotto Discussion Thread

Multiscale Dragonite is rare to the point of practically not even being worth trying to get, considering it has a 1% appearance rate and only a 10% chance of being female.

It's presumably easier to get one by simply using the Dream World instead.

I find myself lucky because when I went to that Hidden Grotto (Route 18?) it was the first one I got. Female too. What I really want is an Imposter Ditto, but everytime I go I get a Clefairy ._.

My biggest coups out of the hidden grottos has been a female Bibarel and Butterfree. Everything else has been awful luck. The only other females I've found have been Foongus and Amoonguss, and the amoonguss got crit. hitted and fainted. I've got a few males out of it, but I mostly find mulch or Pokeballs

I got a female Manectric and Bagon today, which leaves Heracross and Mienfoo as my only wanted Pokemon.

Does anyone have a specific spot that they run on to regenerate the grottos? I use the Skyarrow Bridge because it's so close to the Pinwheel Forest and it's roughly 400 steps long in a straight line without running into wild pokemon. But when I get bored of that I ride all the way from Route 22 to the Pinwheel Forest (Exterior) grotto and see how fast I can do it in as I get to ride the Bike the entire way. Takes roughly four minutes.

Have you tried using the Hidden Grotto Pass Power? it'll increase the chances of finding something quite a bit.

I got a jolly female bagon and an adamant female zangoose. Get at me, also got a relaxed tangela. All my pkmn natures have been good without even SRing

Not as rare as a pinsir in Black 2 or a heracross in White 2; getting them have a 0.25% in each respective game. If you want to reset walk around. If you want your time to be productive, go to join avenue and improve your place.

i hae got a pachiresu and that is it and i hae checked all the hidden grotto i know of although i did not know the regeneraed

i can not find the hiddn grotto in pinwheel forest. please help

The one inside the Pinwheel Forest requires you to use surf, the one outside is by the Star Piece rock.

Found my first Pokémon in the Hidden Grotto's just now. Found a Tangela with a Naughty nature. Not a very good nature at all and it's a Male so not the best of finds, but at least it's something right?

I found my first Foogus today. Haven't had much luck with hidden grottoes lately. I did get a newly hatched female sheer force Bagon with Hydro Pump as an egg movd from the GTS, so at least I don't have to work very hard for that one. I'm currently trying to find an imposter ditto, not having much luck though.

Went to the Bagon Grotto and found a Medicham, and it has Telepathy, worthless xD

Gonna leave him in the daycare to get the pure power ability

If that involves using some kind of Wi-fi connection, then I'm out of luck. My 3DS hasn't been able to connect to Wi-fi since before I got this game for some weird reason

You can do FunFest missions (which give Black/White levels which unlock more powers) without WiFi (local wireless actually).
If I'm reading the main site right you can get the Hidden Grotto power by reaching a Black or White level of 10

Of course to balance out that you can do it at any time (and get actual rewards out of it: search missions let you keep anything, battle missions give you actual exp, etc) you're not guaranteed a White/Black level up

If you've unlocked the find lost items mission, do the level 3 of that - you're almost guarenteed 30 or so pass orbs. I did one with my sister and got almost seventy pass orbs.

After two full weeks of riding around in circles outside the Pinwheel Forest hollow, and several days of breeding, today I finally, FINALLY bred an adamant quick feet Shroomish with perfect atk and spd IVs, with Bullet Seed and Spore bred onto it.

Satisfied? Relieved? Slightly mental? I am currently all these things and more. Now, levelling up. Yay for the fluctuating experience band! *cries*
