Crazy theory, but what if the Jump Festa announcement is a new spinoff RPG that features a Shiny Genesect with ExtremeSpeed as its star, ala Shadow Lugia and XD?

This would also allow Gen 6 Pokémon to debut early, just like Bonsly and Munchlax did...

I once seriously thought they might do that, and the game would be Orre 3 based on all of the pictures with Genesect in a desert and the similarities between its eyes and Shadow Lugia's

Now, not so much. The true importance of Red Genesect will be the way it ties-in with something in Gen 6 just like the Crown Beasts did with Gen 5.

There would be nothing stopping the Red Genesect captured in the hypothetical game from triggering some special event in Gen 6.

I don't think it's an unreasonable suggestion, because we know a game is coming at Jump Festa, which is very soon and far too soon for Gen 6, and a spinoff game getting a movie to promote it has happened before.

They're really trying their hardest to make me think that flight mode is a new form. Junk like Golurk flying was NEVER given this much emphasis.

haha no way, N's outlook towards a genetically modified poke might be rather interesting.

Well now we might have an idea on whatever special moves besides ExtremeSpeed it will have.

My bet is on Fusion Flare.

And now we don't know if we're getting a Lucario-like Pokémon or a Lati@s-like Pokémon or something very new new about the Gen VI Pokémon

They probably won't make a big deal about techno blast as a regular move. But they will make a big deal about how it changes with the drives.

And it would be weird to give genesect a new move when it already has a signature move no?

Considering Red seems to be the same as Genesect just with a new paint job and one move it can't normally learn, giving it a new signature move would help to differentiate. Besides, Victini did it.

It wouldn't be weird at all. Victini was handed out with V-Create, Fusion Flare, and Fusion Bolt for its movie despite already having Searing Shot. Kyurem got Ice Burn/Freeze Shock and Fusion Flare/Fusion Bolt in its new forms, too.

Also, after looking closely at the trailer I can safely say that's not the Fire variant of Techno Blast. The Drive is still orange and the energy about to be shot is blue and white.
