Please, I hear that the anime will be linked to the movie in a heavy way!!! It's true that the anime will be linked to the movie. Because dammit...
I predicted that
I'm too happy that the movie will have a connection to the anime. And apparently with Red genesect in it!!!! This news and the Nintendo Direct has woken up me ater two week breaks of no pokemon and a horrible cliffhanger that possibly was the wrost full battle in history.
CHaracter prediction: Ash, Pikachu, Iris, Axew, Cilan, Jessie, James, Meowth, N, Ghetsis, Colress, Team Plasma Grunts, Looker, Juniper, Genesect x4, Red Genesect, POkemon A (star, only movie), Pokemon B (also in anime).
Genesect army.... How the fork does one find four other cyborg insect hunters w/ giant cannons?
If you like PJO/HoO Fanfiction, then here's my first and only story! Be warned: it's rated T for Turtle!
I guess Plasma, in an act of "This could never possibly backfire painfully" mentality, made five Genesect, one of which was red and more advanced than the rest. Then crap hit the fan and the army escaped.

Ash fan. Luffy fan. Gintoki fan-Gintama.
Multi Luffy {One Piece} and Ash {Pokemon} Shippers.
It's incredibly obvious it's going to be a Gen 6 Pokemon. If Mewtwo has a role in this movie, we should have found out by now.
Make that six Genesects, as that's how many broken cylinders were shown in the P2 Laboratory. One Genesect is missing...
Or it could be a cylinder filled with an unfinished sixth Genesect/godknowswhat that was simply destroyed during the escape.

But isn't the red one the one that's appearing in the anime? If so, then that's the missing one, correct?

They're ALL missing - the red's appearing due to the fact that he's the leader (and therefore most important) of the army.

I could have read it way better if you didn't have to capitalize all. (-_-)

Animé =/= games, and this (as well as shiny Genesect's existance) is further proof of that.
Or maybe all but one will get killed off?

So? I can have multiple Arceus in a game while in the anime is unique. My other guess is that they found various fossils of the same specimen and upgraded all of them at the same time. Basically a sort of mass production.
Yep. That's my other guess.
That's simple Gameplay and Story Segregation.
In the game's story, there is only one Arceus. You can still get multiple Arceus through trading, but as far as the story's concerned, there's only one.
Likewise, in the game's story, only one Genesect was ever made. N cancelled it as he felt Pokémon modified by science lost their beauty (effectively shutting down the idea of Genesect mass production), Dudley left Plasma in anger and finished Genesect independently. Nothing prohibits you from obtaining more than one, but as far as canon's concerned, there's only one Genesect.

You seem to be missing my point. The fact that more Genesect exist in the animé while only one exists in the games STORYWISE is proof that animé =/= games.
