I am completely and utterly shocked. I mean, who expected that?

-In Movie 8 and Movie 13 a Mew and Celebi appeared, following this tradition it would make sense for Jirachi to return, but in Movie 6 it was explained Jirachi only appears every 1000 years, so I don't see a reason why Mewtwo can't be a replacement.

Well according to the pokedex entries, a Jirachi sleeps for a 1000 years and then wakes up for only 7 days (in this time being able to grant wishes to people) and then goes back to its 1000 years sleep.

And like Mew and Celebi and many other legendaries in the anime series, there can be multiple of Jirachi's out there.

As for the movie Jirachi, it was a bit special as it specifically timed its sleep so that it wakes up during the time the comet appears every 1000 years and on the end of the seventh day absorbs the energy from the comet and then goes to sleep and slowly releases the energy it absorbed to the ground.

So, it is easily possible for the writers to add Jirachi in this movie which would be different from the 6th movie one. But that would only happen if this movie is going to be a bridge movie between the 5th and the 6th gen (like the 8th movie was between the 3rd and the 4th gen and the 13th movie was between the 4th and 5th gen).

But the chances of this one being a bridge movie between the 5th and the possible 6th gen is high because it seems that Genosect is going to be revealed in this month or the next as it is present in the next years movie teaser.
That means the writers have another secret pokemon to reveal later on next year.

People who didn't know its existence, i guess. Not everyone knows about the pokemon games (like i used to before i joined Serebii back in 2006) and that in the coding there are hidden pokemons.

Yeah, I believe that since this will be the last BW movie - and a 6th gen Pokémon is likely to appear - I'd love to see Genesect's earlier form.

Well that could be easily possible if they released it in the 6th gen and this movie does turn out to be a generation bridge movie (similar to how the released Regigigas in the 4th gen and the other Regi golems in the 3rd gen before that).

This is cool. As Lucario At Service pointed out, them revealing Genesect now likely means that something special will be revealed later (probably in February 2013). If we have RS Remakes by the time the movie comes out, I see Jirachi appearing and maybe a Generation VI Pokémon that they could announce in February.

If they're gonna shows us a sixth gen pokemon in the movie or the next movie.My guess it would be a Psychic pokemon.

Yeah i'd expect the writers to make it possible for more Jirachi's too in all fairness.

I expect this will be the final BW movie considering we know that BW is supposed to be a three year saga, so i'd say Jirachi, or a 6th Gen Pokemon could be involved in it.

If this is true, then we really need to see a fight between Genesect and Mewtwo, the two genetically altered Pokemon.

I was expecting Genesect to be in this movie.. I also wouldn't be surprised if we see a Gen VI Pokemon as the star in this movie. Back in the Advance Generation two Gen IV Pokemon starred in movies and Diamond and Pearl didn't even come out yet.. so maybe it could happen again.

im not sure if anyone has said i didnt read the whole this already but maybe the novie wont feature a 6th gen legendary pokemon but just like a minor one like buizel and bonsly in the 8th movie. Although i dont know if ruby sapphire remakes will be made maybe if they are a 3rd generation pokemon will feature alongside genesect instead?

We all know the plot...the big bad pkmn starts thrashing a certain area and it distrupts the ballance[blah blah] and Ash & Co.[especially Ash] save the world

I can see the synopsis. This is just speculation on my part; Feel free to expand or edit any necessary.


"A scientist tries to capture a Jirachi to fulfill the wish of resurrecting the fabled Legendary Pokemon; Genesect. We see a glimpse of a sixth generation Pokemon eavesdropping and snatches the Scientist's machine part to capture Jirachi as if it knew what his/her scheme was."

I could see the scientist trying to obtain the energy off of Jirachi to revive Genesect for world domination, but then Genesect refuses to follow orders and flees elsewhere. I would guess in the end it leaves for the moon.

That would be awesome if the main villain was Dr.Zager but I doubt that will happen.

maybe it will be new plasma. there the ones interested in domination so then using genosect to try and take over makes sense

I can almost guarantee the Movie will involve an ex-old plasma member (the one in B/W to be precise) proving to Team Plasma that he can create the worlds strongest Pokemon after they laughed at him disclosed his research etc. etc.

From this point on he either loses control of Genesect or chooses to cause havok with it.
