    Default Wi-Fi Connection Help Please?

I have no idea if this is the right place to ask a question like this. If it isn't, feel free to move it or delete it. See, I just moved to another state and I'm trying to get a Wi-Fi connection on my old Nintendo DS so I can play more of Pokemon Black and play around in the Dream World, but I can't get a connection! I'm not a technology expert so I may need help. My dad got me a new router for my computer. It's a TP-Link brand and the model number is TL-WN722N. I happen to have the very first model of Nintendo DS (before the DS Lite). Does anyone know if this router is compatible with the old Nintendo DS or not?

The router is likely compatible, as are Black/White. Your security on the router is likely the block. Anything before the DSi is limited to WEP security only, which is considerably less secure and barely used anymore; your router is no doubt set to something more secure and advanced.

    Your options:

    1. Abandon online play for the time being.
    2. Keep your router at its current secure settings, but disable the security completely for short periods at a time, long enough to connect with your DS to send a Pokémon in or take one out of the Dream World.
    3. Upgrade to a DSi or later model, which are compatible with more advanced and more secure wireless security protocols.

Assuming you don't wish to abandon online play completely and don't want to spend money on new game hardware, #2 is your sole option. It keeps your security properly set and enabled for the majority of the time while still allowing you limited online activity in short periods.

    Finally,

But the router is the only thing that connects to the internet for my computer. Exactly how do I disable the security? Do I just click on Disconnect? Like I said, I'm not a technology expert so I'm new to all this. I've never manually disconnected a router before, and I'm afraid if I do, I might not be able to re-connect (unless there's a Connect option, but I don't know if there is one or not).

    You aren't "disconnecting" anything.

Consult your documentation, which will direct you to your router's control screen and the security settings therein. I can't really do anything else for you from here.

Hi! I'm not so sure where to post this question either, but I really need help! I am having trouble waking up a Pokemon from the dream world... I can connect to the wi-fi connection, but when the connection asks if I want to wake up the Pokemon and I say yes, the screen goes to an error screen saying, "communications error" Is there somthing wrong with the connection? Please help me!
Oh, and also, when I check on the Pokemon Global Link the screen says there is a data error. I have already woken the Pokemon up on the Global Link but not from Game Sinc...
