Well we rarely have higher resolution leaks after low resolution ones, and since Pokémon Fan will actually be released in July 23... yeah...

And I don't see what business Luke would have in fighting Alder anyways, same with Ursula.

Well, the only people who has a business to fight with Alder here are Ash, Trip, and arguably Iris and Georgia(if Anime!Alder has a Druddigon) anyways. Everybody else is here to battle for sake of battling. That's not exactly the best counterargument there is.

Edit: Mention of other Pokémon of Cilan's and Dawn's gives me a slight hope for Ash using other Pokémon than Leavanny... but only mention of Piplup and Mamoswine does not exactly make me comfortable.

I was thinking, as the scan summary suggest that there are trainers appearing from all over the world, what are the chances of one of Ash's older rivals appearing as well. I can see one of the following one appearing though,

Richie (Hiroshi)
Harrison (Hazuki)
Morrison (Masamune)
Tyson (Tetsuya)
Barry (Jun) [least likely though]

I don't think there is a chance of Paul (Shinji) appearing though as he was an important character back in DP (more than Barry), so they would have revealed info regarding him until now if he where to appear in the Junior Cup.

Plus the ones i mentioned doesn't need promotion (like Dawn needed or Paul would need) before they appear in the anime. Also back in DP, we had a very old character reappearing in the anime ones again (Jessibelle) without any promotion, so there is a possibility of another one appearing in BW as well.

Oops, i didn't see the scans properly so i didn't know that all the 16 participant have been revealed.

But the scan is unclear so i can't see the other participants face clearly. Is there a better quality one out there (i think someone on BMGF may have posted or would post clear scans of that page).

Well it does say (paraphrasing): Time for Ash to use his well trained Pokemon. Uh-oh that means Pikachu, and Pignite are Ash's other Pokemon.....

And while Cilan's Pokemon are mentioned, I can't see how Dawn's blurb implies anything since the Piplup reference was simply to say that it's always with her.

I don't know maybe Dawn uses Piplup in the first round and they mention Mamoswine because of the second round?

I hope not, since the focus of that episode is Iris, Georgia, Cynthia and Caitlin, so the rest of the cast will have a few seconds battles most likely, I'd like to see Quilava in a proper battle like Mamoswine is getting.

the first round will probably take up 2 episodes with the people you mentioned in the first. dawn and quilava can easily get a decent battle in the second episode. either that or something outside the tournament

Unfortunately we already know all the 16 opponents. Ash' older rivals aren't going to appear in this tournament at all, just brand new guys (despite Dawn, Cilan, Iris, Georgia and Burgundy).

If I see the bacon in this tournament I'm pretty much not watching the show anymore. I hate when they are constantly concentrating on it. I mean it had 5 gym battles while other starters had 3 or 2. :/ And hands down it's the ugliest starter Ash has ever had.

Also all of Ash's pokemon aren't trained well. I mean some have only 3 attacks, some have no diversity. Starters have bad movesets, to be honest. I mean infernape had like dig, flare blitz, mach punch and flamethrower. Buizel had water gun, aqua jet, sonic boom and ice punch.

I hope Ash uses snivy and oshawott and I hope they develop some new battle style to be more diverse in combat. Snivy is deseperate for a new move which shouldn't be a grass type, though I guess leech seed could work well along with attract.

yes there's only 16 competators. Im not sure but I don't think burgundy vs trip was confirmed for the first round. so there's still hope.
