Pokémon G/S/C Shiny Challenge

I'm going to have a G/S/C shiny challenge. It will be a race to see who can obtain a shiny the quickest, under the given circumstances. They could range from hatching to fishing to SRing. I will decide on them later. A picture of your shiny will be required, as well as stats and other necessary details. Some honesty will be needed, as I don't want hacked entries. If you are interested, say below.

What is the point of a race to get a shiny? What do people win? How will you know if someone has a head start because they were already trying to catch a shiny? How will they prove that they got a shiny? How will you prevent people from cheating by mentioning a shiny they already caught?

This whole things seems pointless and full of a lot of holes. You may want to think it through a little more.

Not to be "that guy", but catching shinies, especially in the G/S/C days, is all about luck. It's sounds like a fun little event, but not really much of a skillful competition.

Also, it's kind of hard to find people with the games with a not-dead internal battery. My Gold is still going, I believe, but I rarely touch it to be safe.

Ah, I thought I saw that the first time I read it, and initially was going to address it. :P There still remains the issue of using an old picture or just photographing a shiny you already have, though. That's why it can be hard to hold a contest like this and know everyone will be honest.

Anyhow, all my old games are dead so I won't be participating.
