E3: Epic Mickey 2 The Power Of Two

Playstation 3, Xbox 360, windows and mac.

In this game, you still play as Mickey, but this time the second player can join the adventure as Oswald!


Plot:

The Mad Doctor, whom Mickey defeated in the first game, mysteriously returns to the Wasteland, despite having been supposedly blown up in the first game. He claims to have realized the error of his ways, and offers to work with Oswald The Lucky Rabbit and the other residents of Wasteland to repair the damage recently caused by earthquakes in order to make amends.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, Oswald agrees. However, not long after accepting the Mad Doctor's help, Wasteland begins to suffer even more damage than before. Becoming suspicious that the Mad Doctor is not keeping his side of bargain, Gus the Gremlin, Oswald's friend and advisor, and Ortensia, Oswald's girlfriend/wife, decide to contact Mickey Mouse, who saved the Wasteland in the first game, to ask for his help. They do so, and Mickey, climbing through the same mirror the he ventured through in the first game, retrieves his magical piant-and-thinner-spraying paintbrush from Yen Sid's workshop, after having it confiscated at the end of Epic Mickey. With Gus's help, Mickey returns to the Wasteland to assist in uncovering the truth behind the Mad Doctor's supposed reformation, teaming up with Oswald along the way.

The two later discover that the Mad Doctor has been using his offer of help as a premise to release his new creations "Blotworx" (a mixture of the Blotlings and Beetleworx from the original Epic Mickey) into the Wasteland. Realizing his mistake, Oswald proceeds to assist Mickey in taking down the Mad Doctor once again.

Beated Epic Mickey 1? I did 2 times, but still missing things :/

I haven't played the first one, but the reviews for it have been average. I am unsure how many people are going to be interested in the second one.

I've been interested in Epic Mickey since the day I heard about Mickey Mouse's failed suicide attempt (legend).

I own Epic Mickey, but I can't play it since my Wii is pretty messed up right now. I'll have to wait until I get "The U."

They're making a version for 3DS themed on Illusions? Pretty sweet! Now that's taking the 3DS to a new dimension.

I played the first game, though I didn't finish it. It didn't vary enough for me, and I lost interest. Saying that, it's a very good game. I'll consider getting EM2.

I didn't get the first one due to the not-so-glorious reviews. However, the second one is looking very interesting: sounds like they're gonna go all out on it. And I like the idea of musical story scenes. That's so Disney.

Ugh, I got Epic Mickey for Christmas and....well I had heard that it was one of the greatest games of the year (last year) and that it had great reviews. Well lets just say that those people were liars....okay maybe not that, but it is far from being a great game. It's so dang dark in the first part that I could hardely see where I was going and things that seemed to be hard were easy and vice versa. It was really strange and short and just unejoyable. I really didn't like it and neither did my older sister who played it with me.

In fact, I just told her that there was a second one coming out soon and she looked at me and then shook her head with a look of rememberance and said, "No, no, we're not getting that one." I laughed b/c, yeah, it was bad.

I had no problem with the first part, it was not too dark, so maybe the contrast isn't good from the TV? I can't wait to get Epic Mickey 2! The reviews are very great, so the game is maybe better than the previous one... who knows.
