Pmd (All versions): Annoying Client Moments During Exploration

Pokémon clients can be very annoying during exploration.
One of the annoying things is that if a client stands next to a Pokémon and you want that he or she move away from the Pokémon. But instead of that, the client attacks and there goes the client or you lose a Reviver Seed...

I had that a few times today. World Abyss is really a dungeon that kills clients!!
Why? Nidoqueen's Earth Power!! That's for pmd 2 & sky...
Shimmer Desert is the same, but less difficult. And Nidoking is annoying with Dugtrios together!!


Do you have annoying moments with clients? Or do you have tips to evade those moments?
Then this is the right place to do that!

Here's my tip:

Get a lot of Reviver Seeds with you and make sure that you have enough.
How further the goal, the more you'll need.

This is why I always carry a boatload of reviver seeds with me.

This or when the client decides that he wants to be a hero and then gets himself killed or, *Runaway activated* they start running away from you, potentially into death D : that's irritating and so are the warp traps when you get seperated DX

Now you've mentioned the warp trap moment... I had that a few years ago for the last time...

Even though that those moments happened to me a lot without the client...
Explode traps are also annoying!

I was doing a rescue in EoT at Sky Tower one day.

I made it to the floor, which was like the 35th, and it was hailing! My client Ponyta's ability run away activated and I couldnt rescue it. So I just followed it around until it fainted.

Clients that have run away were difficult to manage, since they run away when HP is low. Lost a few of those missions...

When you're trying to escort like a Lv.3 rattata through like a 60 floor dungeon just so it can get to it's friend and you can complete the mission. -.- The amount of times the client has died doing this. Absolute pisstake.

Well that just... sucks :1

Basically the whole trying-to-be-hero act. And that is why I always prepare a one-room move before entering a dungeon.

Any Ghost type client that I have to rescue. They're always inside the walls, or in some other unreachable place. I mean, I do have a Moblie Scarf, but early on in the games, I avoid any and all clients that can go through walls.

You k law in the Mystery Dungeon blue and Red rescue team? Those Nidoran girl and Nidoran boy couple! One time they got stick in SKY TOWER SUMMIT 9F!! And they're only level 5!!! How does that happen?

That's pretty much why in MD Time I always do outlaw jobs or item seeking ones. Clients are stupid.

When the client decides to randomly stop on a trap that I already made visible... Or when the enemy Pokes have Omnious Wind/Discharge/other cheap moves like that...

Ugh, there were moments I had a really stupid client who just decided to walk off in a random direction, and I had to swerve back to get them before they ran into trouble.

Then there was that Gastly client I had where I had to rescue him at the canyon. Stupid AI...

Considering in PMD2 the client is always level 7, and the dungeon's pokemon are almost always in the 40+ area, I generally just avoid that type of mission. :I

Wasting my damn reviver seeds.

Back in my blue rescue team, I could never beat the mission where you had to escort gengar. He always walked into the walls into some ridiculous battle.

Sky:

Today I had 3 jobs that took place in Marine Resort.

- Rescue Chinchou 12F
- Explore with Weepinbell to 15F, Golden Chamber (Client exploration)
- Treasure 17F, it was a Joy Seed!! No key needed this time


When I entered 10F, the monster house was in the starting room... so got into trouble again...
But Pikachu used Discharge, so luckily all Pokémon were defeated in one move

Weepinbell thought that he was a hero, so he battled Smeargle... I used Rollcall, but we got separated :/
The same Smeargle faced him again some time later... still alone.

I'll quote the message log:

For the first time ever, the client defeated a Pokémon that is much stronger than him!!
Weepinbell was a lv. 15 Pokémon...
Nothing happened until next floor.

Just had one today on Time.

I was trying to do 4 missions at a time as I always do at Mt. Bristle. My client was a Shellos. We were almost at the stairs and this Doduo was following us. Shellos used Mud Sport, Dodue is now 2 squares away. I try to move to the stairs and instead if following us, he uses Mud Sport again! Doduo usedQuick Attack, knocked him out, and I was transferred back to the Guild. AT FLOOR 6! If I don't get picked for the expedition I'm going to murder him >_<

Just had one.
I had to escort Wailord to... Guess what? Seedot. In Buried Relic floor 97.
I accepted since I was going to hunt for Gulpin anyway.
I'm on floor 84, and my battery was getting low. I discovered a pitfall trap, and both Gulpin and Wailord Fall in it, making me lose Gulpin, and making me transport back to home because THE Wailord "fainted".
