Wait, I hope you aren't being serious about keeping a pokemon just for the sake of sacrificing it...

It's named after a chess piece, that was the joke! Also, Bisharp's not too bad with its STAB Sucker Punch along with its access to Swords Dance. Still, if a piece has seen its use, why not sacrifice it as opposed to a potentially more powerful strategy? Ugh...so many chess references and I haven't played it in a while.

Yeah, I got it, but when someone argues, I always get the feeling they actually mean it.

I never said sacrificing a teammate is a bad thing. In fact, I do it all the time. But having one just for the same of sacrificing it....that's just a waste of a team slot.

True but sometimes pieces have a simple purpose (like Baton Pass users) and once they've done their job, they're not going to be of much use.

Well, yeah, but at least they do something before they faint. The sacrificial strategy I was thinking of is when you swap a pokemon who you know will faint into an attack just so you can sent in a check afters. For example, a +2 Dragonite with Dragon Claw and Fire Punch. Your theoretical scarf Terrakion can't swap in, and you want to use the pokemon you have on the battle field to take out another one of your enemy's pokemon, so you send in a different pokemon to take the attack so Terrakion can outspeed an OHKO.

well technically i do use my favourites :3 i always use umbreons and my latias (i only have one -.- compared to my 4 different umbreons because i like to change it up) lapras is another of my favourites i normally use one.
    Shinies:
Chandelure-4 and a half hour search in celestial tower.
Zigzagoon-Most random encounter... i was looking for a normal wingull/swellow and sort of stumbled upon it
Psyduck-Sort of just training a venesaur against some golduck and a pretty blue psyduck came along (Now a Golduck)
Ekans-1 hour After a blue psyduck i was walking from vermilion city to lavender town and stumbled into the grass (purely by accident) and found a nice golden ekans. (Now an Arbok)
Gyarados- yes... the shiny everyone has.
Volbeat- Another one i sort of stumbled on... training a snorlax above the resort area
    Vileplume-Traded from the GTS.
    Soul Silver Team:

Yeah. Sometimes I win sometimes I lose. Fortunately, a lot of my favorites are OU but they aren't the threatening OUs

I actually refuse to use generic but "good" teams because I hate the Pokemon that those teams are usually made up of.

I always use my favorite Pokemon no matter what tier they're in. As long as I'm having fun, I'm happy with Competitive Battling

Yeah....but you know, you aren't the only one who has to put up with that. I mean, I really like Rotom's base form much better then any of it's others, but it's not exactly the most useful ghost around. It could potentially be used in OU, but it's more of a pokemon best for filling a hole in your team than one to build a team around.

But Luvdisc can't be your only favorite, right?

Oh yeah! There's always Joltik, for when Luvdisc gets boring! xD But really, I do really like Chandelure, so I suppose that's good!

I try to make all of my teams of pokemon I like. Reason I don't tend to use legendarys. Prefer breeding and raising my pokemon from an egg.

Ahh the possibilities. I had fun in ubers using my a team full of legendary pixies (some of you all them the 100 all base stats pokemon) as a way to entice the enemy, "Don't bully my children. You will be called a meanie if you do."

Surprisingly, I actually got 40% wins with 60% Losses with my legendary children. Surprising huh? I even owned Arceus butt, Deoxys as well, even sand rush excadrill and speed boost blaziken, The weather trio as well (bye bye Rayquaza! Fear Prince Manaphy you draconic son of a *****!!! I hated you ever since you murdered me 150 times 10 years ago!), annd even the creatio trio. Though I still struggle with Unovian legendaries (God**** those musketeers! they are no joke for sure)

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Mnaphy, Shaymin Sky forme, and Victini. Tell us we are cute! Really, try them! It makes me feel so success full to beat those boastful giants (except cresselia and reshiram)

    Latest introduced chapter:
Feli Chronicles Vitandes - Chapter 30: Veins of Flames
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Forgotten Life - Chapter 3: Hurricane of Foreshadowing

I've been trying my best to incorporate Beeheeyem into a team, but I just can't work it in.

Likewise with toxicroak, but with better results.

    None shall oppose our reign!

Check out my fanfic, Pokelypse chronicles. You won't regret it.

    Azleaf -UU
Uxie/mespirit-Ru why use them in ubers?
and if you use all of them.. darkai says hi.. don't use 3 pokemons of the same time that don't have good synergy.. they can't beat darkai..
I played ubers.. like 20% of the teams are uber noobs.
