Yesterday after 4,330 RE's I finally found my first Shiny in Black 2. A Shiny Piloswine. I continue hunting on the Giant Chasm Plains because I want a shiny Metang. ;-(

I just had a random encounter with a shiny Woobat in Black! Not the greatest shiny but hey it was random and it's a shiny! Basically getting rewarded without doing any work

Not bad. I got a Shiny Vulpix the other day while I was breeding DWFs for a friend and and I happened to be using my English Ditto at the same time (this was on my japanese black) and one came out shiny. Unfortunately it got flash fire instead of drought, but, as you say, it is always nice to get a shiny without any effort.

I´ve just got my shiny karrablast out of its egg! Really pleased for getting in less than 300 eggs, especially after hatching over 2000 eggs each for trapinch and corphish and getting nothing, going to start to see if I get a shiny shelmet now!

Hunting for a Shiny in Abundant Shrine i got a Shiny Altaria! Yay, it's so good i got a shiny altaria instead of somehting like a petilil or a marill

I used my masterball on it, I already caught every legendary and I was waiting for a cute shiny to use my masterball in.

About five minutes ago, on pokemon White 2 I was running around route 3 while watching TV when I looked at my 3DS, I was shocked I ran into a Shiny Watchog and caught it in a quick ball as soon as I could and it has a naive nature but I'm not fussed.

Nature is Jolly which is nice, wasn't expecting such a quick hunt! Going to hunt in Dreamyard now, hoping for anything other than Watchog or Liepard. 6 shinies so far this month! My goal is to get 2 more before this month ends hopefully I can do it!

Does that Charm power raise the rate of finding shinies with the shiny charm even more or am i competely off?

Charm power increases the power of finding a rare pokemon, as in encounter rate, not chance of being shiny.

Just a question I was thinking about: I'm breeding with a Japanese Ditto and a European Porygon (Me having a European game). But in order for the Masuda method to work, isn't it necessary that my Porygon is from a foreign language, instead of Ditto? Because Porygon is the Pokemon that will hatch from the egg of course..

5 Days ago I finally got my first Shiny on Gen 5.

A Piloswine after 4,330 Random Encounters, evolved it to a awesome looking Mamoswine!
2 days and 2,658 Encounters later, a Shiny Solrock exploded in my face. :S
And yesterday after 1,158 encounters, I came across a Shiny Clefairy, and then another 269 encounters later I bumped into another Shiny Clefairy! I evolved one of the ladies into a Clefable.

Just a question I was thinking about: I'm breeding with a Japanese Ditto and a European Porygon (Me having a European game). But in order for the Masuda method to work, isn't it necessary that my Porygon is from a foreign language, instead of Ditto? Because Porygon is the Pokemon that will hatch from the egg of course..

No, as long as both Pokemon are not from the same country the Masuda Method will work.

Anyone out there who is missing pokemon in their pokedex? Maybe we could help each other? btw an undate.. stillno shiny litwick.. what is the best method, MM or Random encounter? I know that litwick is 100% on the 2nd floor in some tower i forgot the name of..Opinions?

I've been hatching tons of Pichu eggs recently, but obviously no Shiny Pichu has hatched yet. I guess I'll have to hatch several thousand eggs before I get it, but there are other Shiny Pokemon that I'm currently after. I've decided to do some random encounters in the hopes that I can find my first White 2 Shiny. I just wish I had that new item that makes Shiny Pokemon easier to find, but I can't be bothered to complete the task that unlocks it. For now, I'll just balance hatching Pichu eggs with doing random encounters, which will be tough but rewarding in the end.

Holy cow! Just a few days after randomly running into a shiny Woobat, I've now stumbled upon a shiny Purrloin! Once again when I wasn't even trying. I seriously need to consider purchasing a lottery ticket!

NOOOOO! I can't believe this! I just had a fail moment! >_<

I was just doing some more encounters for my 3rd White 2 badge quest when suddenly a shiny Petilil appeared in a double-encounter! So I quickly shut my DSi so that I could try and capture the sparkles on film... but then I noticed that power lights on the DSi weren't on, so I opened up the screen again, and, yep, the DSi had switched itself off.

... Nooooo!! That took over 13,208 encounters to appear! My shiny Petilil... ;____;

I can only guess that I must have accidentally pressed down on the power button when I was shutting the DSi lid.

I thought my long hunt was over. But now I'll have to keep going. I hope it doesn't take another 13,000+ encounters for the next shiny to appear. And I hope it's not a bloody shiny Rattata... >__<

And last night as I was trying to sleep I had a massive panic attack, which had me lying there with my arms and legs shaking and spasming uncontrollably (I haven't had one for ages). So I was already in a bad mood when I woke up this morning. I'm not having a good day...

The only Shiny I've ran into so far on Black 2 was an Excadrill that I failed to catch... T_T I was so disappointed, but a few days later I saw one up for offer on GTS and successfully managed to get it! Not really hunting a shiny now, but I'm hoping one will pop up while I've been training some Pokemon.
