I always use it, since it's one of the most efficient Pokemon you can use in-game. I don't restart files enough to get tired of it or whatever.
I always use my starter! When people say "I don't use my starter" to me, that's like saying "I gonna beat all the gyms with pidgey and ratatta!"
I have officially claimed Pokemon-FireRed Version!
I have also claimed Cilan!
I always have my starter at least until I beat the Pokémon League for the first time.
"Hey! I was looking forward to seeing you! My rival should be strong to keep me sharp."
Your rival would like to battle!
I simply can't get rid of my starter, I'm always too attached to it. Besides many of them are incredible good in the competetive game, like Infernape, venassaur or empoleon
Oh hey, I have a Nuzlocke story.I hath claimed the ULTIMATE TROLL!
When an unknown infection spreads throughout Hoenn, it's up to three elite Trainers to defeat its source: Deoxys.Currently up to Chapter 2 of the sequel.Credit to Atari!Originally Posted by Kamina
I always use the starter. I often use them as my powerhouse until I beat the elite four then I trade another Pokemon over and they become my second most powerful

Unless they die in a Nuzlocke, I always use my starter. Just saves time.
I always use my starter Pokemon in my teams.
Credit goes to Shigeru-kun for the banner. (It should be obvious which one.)
Not always, mostly because I like the design of other wild Pokemon better, and thus train them more. And in the end they're waay stronger than my starter...
Most of my first playthroughs of a game is just to have fun.![]()
Nope, not yet.

I've always used my starter but since this was brought up I might do it to try something new.
If you've played the the metal gear solid series you should get this.
I always use my starter. Because all starters are better than most non-legendary pokemon in any game.
I normally have a starter with me, but it may not be a starter from that game (or generation).
For instance, I used 1st gen starters on my 2nd playthrough of White.
Platinum FC: 1679 0854 6324
HeartGold FC: 4470 8207 7339
White FC: 4513 8030 6323
White 2 FC: 2709 9471 0891
"The North remembers, Lord Davos."
Only in Yellow for every playthrough ever. Sorry, but I have issues with Pikachu that refuses to evolve before the days of Light Ball, it kind of sucks ... a lot. Every other playthrough of any game will always have a starter. Wait, actually there was one other one, my Double Dragons Playthrough of Platinum featured Garchomp, Dragonite, Weavile, Magnezone, Floatzel, and Roserade, although Dratini and Gible were kind of like starters there
Black and White 2 Return to Familiar Lands, except for the giant glacier.
I really wish they'd change the type of hidden power on the party pokemon page because the normal type icon looks boring. My special sweepers all have stupid looking Attack tabs on their information.
I almost always do, but I decided not to a few times. I've gone through White, Platinum and Emerald without my starter![]()
TMP Symbols:
I never used to, but in all recent games I have played through without my stater. They are too common, I like to be original :P
