Because we're in the middle of a 21-day break, and in the middle of a 12-day break of news, I'm going to discuss the Gym Leader's merch:

At first, I'm surprised that the official name of Skyla in Japanese is Huuro, not Fuuro. Also I start to think that those Gym Leader could have a role in the Plasma arc (PWT?).

And Genesect is getting a lot of merchandise right now. It's expect to continue that way until the movie airs at least.

No I mean just be sent to the lab for the filler saga or not appear for a long time time. Getting one appearance at the beginning and then being banished.

What I mean is that he has the pokemon to replace a number of his "main team" now.

The only thing that would replace Snivy would be a starter, if Charizard stays on the team he won't take Snivy spot, we have seen some Snivy/Oshawott/Pignite/Scraggy stuff for future appearances, so they will probably stay active on the team.

Technically not, as we have seen, Snivy is the least popular of the starters(anime wise) at least in terms of the writers, so her being replaced by a reserve wouldn't be all that shocking. In fact I'm sure most people would like it lol.

I don't know, someone like Leavanny. He offers everything Snivy does on the team battle wise, plus he has an interesting personality.

Snivy is still a starter even if they don't use her as much, starters are the flagship pokemon to represent a generation, they will keep her.
