Feli Chronicles: Vitandes
The Start of the Seedling Arc
Vitandes.
A planet created by the Goddess Feli. Taken inspiration from a distant star, she placed one ocean and one sea, two continents, and blooming with mountains, forests, caves, beaches, deserts, oasis, plains, volcanoes, hills, lakes, rivers, and few other elements she deemed habitable. Inhabited in this planet were people called Tivanes; Beings that were believed to be the evolution of outcasted human beings from another dimension. Given powers by the goddess and the almighty ‘Aura Spirit’, she educated the youth of all generations to live a life of simplicity, innocence, maturity, curiosity, prosperity, respect, self-direction, faith, hope, and love.
For over ten millennial, life bloomed to the world in peace, protected from the horrors of the dark universe by the goddess. Simplicity evolved to prosperity yet it devolved to value simplicity’s balance. One cannot spin alone for both sides protect the world from the darkness lest to let the people live a dark reality.
The ‘Vitandes cemetery’ is the last resting place of the peaceful dead. Filled with windy grass and flowers of many kinds, it resembles on reflecting the times one lives through life, how much one’s achieve, how one’s actions evolve, and how one’s life is used for the good of Vitandes. However, one monument resembles a hero to the people of Tivanes. The small statue is base on six different colors of diamonds resembling a body of a human being yet the heart shined like an honorable Tivanes. Though what’s left of it is that it sows the extinction of the human race. The last human not placated by the creed of corrupted human society.
For this day, a young mother tivani carries two flowers with eight petals forming like a night star of winter. Light yellow it shines, this mother is adequate of height colored with white snow cappuccino skin. She wears a silk dress of petal white, along with a scarf of lavender with two stars found at the tied ends of it, and walks to the monument with a silk wood shoe of light brown. Opening her left hand reveals a symbol tattoo with a four pointed star inside a circle. She is now six months pregnant. She knows that her baby could come any minute now. Maybe ten minutes later. She could even feel her feet and legs sore for the past two weeks which tells her that the baby is ready to drop.
Kneeling next to the monument, she meditates. “Master, it has been a long while. Here’s a pot of flowers. I hope that its scent can be brought to the stars with you.”
“Five years has passed since that day. I can’t get much sleep at the time from those nightmares before. But after every nightmare, it becomes a good dream. Ahh, memories when I’m sixteen. But lately, I hear voices. What could it mean?” her mind lost in wander.
A giggle caught her attention. “Huh, what the…?”. A giggle is heard loose again, perhaps a little louder this time. Was it happy? Or was it sad? It sounds like a mix of both emotions.
Behind stands another tivani arrive who is slightly taller than her. With a skin color of light brown, he’s wearing a traveler set. Being a traveler and a farmer makes him a bit muscular but more on healthy flat tone. Packed with a bundled travel bag and wearing light green clothing, the young man place his stuff down. After kneeling down next to the monument, he begins meditating next to the young woman. From his baggage are plenty of necessities he carries when the time comes for Celena’s child to see the world.
“Hi there Celena. Visiting our master sweetheart?” The young man ask.
“Lucas? Where’s Mien Rin?” she asks and Lucas raised a hand leading to a tree behind them with another woman deeply meditating, Indian seat style. Being taller than both of them combined, she has a slightly pink hue on her skin tone with deep lavender tone. This woman was wearing a casual clothing of blouse and pants of rose red and sakura pink respectively.
“How’s the baby Celena?” Lucas checks on her belly. It has indeed grown quite a lot. “The baby could come at any time. I just hope that it won’t happen too-“
The weight of her growing child within her womb tells her it is time. Way too soon for her to even respond. The painful contractions kicked in.
“Aaaahhhhhh! The baby! It’s kicking now! Ahhh! Lucas! Hurry! It hurts!” Celena is carefully being carried by Lucas to the closest flat floor. She can feel the contractions happening inside her, almost unbearable to endure. Her child is certainly ready
Lucas calling Mien Rin for the childbirth procedures, he looks back at the fortune teller’s advice he got yesterday amidst his panicking mind.
“Young man, I see that tomorrow is more than your simple tour to your ode master.” A fortune teller spoke behind the curtain.
“What do you mean?” Lucas asked.
“Behold a shining cloud! For thy teacher returns a creed to thee lover thou hold. All found where thy never expect to seed the new star of destiny.” The elderly stared again at an orb.
“I don’t understand what you mean.” he wondered.
“Such a confused Navanian eh? You will have to find the answers for yourself. Your time should be used wisely. Something … or … some form … may be looking from your master’s grave.”
“Celena! Deep breaths now. Now Push!” Mien Rin did the hard work of child delivery. As for Lucas, he had to comfort her all that he could as she faces one of her most painful moments that can change her life. Tears are dropping down, breathing was shallow, and her head seems to be strained from all of her own screaming. It all happens so fast. What was once Lucas’ seed and Celena’s fertile egg will soon be the child they have been waiting for six months. It didn’t take long for her to hear another voice. Six months of careful health finally gave her a healthy child.
“Congratulations! It’s a baby boy. Both of you, Lucas and Celena Tanabata, are an official father and mother.” Cleaning up the baby and wrapping it up in white cloth by Mien Rin, Celena breaths in and out as she, along with Lucas, cry in joy.
“I’m glad that I am the doctor of our family. I just can’t imagine Celena going through all of this labor. Following a lost human book, the way tivanians give birth is very similar to the extinct humans. The only difference is that the baby inside her readied to be ‘dropped’ last month. Then she gave birth at the sixth month. He said to me that I will believe at master’s wisdom. Now I believe I was wrong about childbirth. Six months instead of the human nine.” Mien Rin sighs as she looks back at the past.
“Lucas. Would you kindly?” she points out to hold on to his lover as both of them get a hold of their child. Sleeping like every other child, it embraces the warmth of its parents’ warmth as the baby sees the new world after living inside its mother’s bosom.
“What shall we name our child my love?” he looks into her yellow eyes with tears of joy.
“We’ll name him … Jireh.” She sighs with relief when the baby cried again. Her husband smiles with no regrets. This song is her own-made song that is said to have a wonderful feeling to fellow tivani.
I see in your eyes
The sorrow sweeping
Let then my voice be
Be the light
Of your life.
