True, but I did say "usually" didn't I?
i wouldn't say thats accurate.Bianca was a real threat to pikachu in their first battle, once excavalier started to listen she did well, and was able to beat bisharp quite easily(granted she did have a type advantage). Most of her losses come down to going up against stronger opponents (lets be honest miccinno vs zebstrka was a complete mismatch and she did ok and sawk was shown to be extremly strong in that tournament) only really against elesa did she really do badly but her pokemon are much stronger now.Burgundy on the other hand can't get any victories agianst strong opponents (her only victory was against chilli who was doing really badly at the time with when she had a type advantage). Now don't get me wrong i like Burgundy as a character i just think atm she isn't as strong.

Cabernet has more strategy thought. When she fought Iris, she had 2 strategies, the Water Pulse to make Excadrill unable to use Dig & Revenge. What does Bianca do? Attack, attack, attack! That Fling one is the only exception but that move came out of nowhere as well. Bianca may have more "wins" but Cabernet has strategies planned out which sadly she was unable to show at the Junior Cup.

reminds me of a quote "One may know how to conquer without being able to do it" and i think this sums up Burgundy she may know what to do to win, but she dosn't have the strength and as such can't do it yet, so she isn't as strong atm.Bianca may not be as strategic but she can get wins.
Here's the order of strenght in the rivals in my opinion
1. Trip - Yeah he's much stronger than everyone else now
2. Georgia - Even though she lost in the first round, it was against a crazy Dragonite, and she has pretty good Pokemon imo
3. Stephan - Sawk. Nuff said.
4. Bianca - Having Emboar and Escavalier (or was it the other bug? never remember which one) is no laughing matter. And Minccino is not bad either
5. Burgundy - lol
Thus the earth shall turn to Ash
Hey Slowking, need some pants?
I'd say it's - Stephen > Trip > Georgia > Bianca > Burgundy in terms of strength.

Stephan's character development is more dan trip in anime series.he won dat fighting type don battle tournament because it was made to show how strong he is when it comes to strenght.on the other hand trip didnt make dat much appearances n he was shown to be defeated just because they wanted to.he has strength plus strategy...which makes him stronger than stephan.

Current Black 2 team
If I have to rank Ash's pokemon it'll be like this:
1. Pikachu
2. Leavanny
3. Pignite
4. Krokorok
5. Boldore
6. Snivy
7. Oshawott / Scraggy
9. Unfezant
But now that Kro9korok evolves in Krookodile and beat Dragonite he'll become powerhouse and go up to 1st place while the rat, the bug and the bacon go down 1 position.
As for characters strenght I'll say:
Trip>Ash=Stephen>Cilan>Bianca=Iris>Georgia>>>...>> Burgundy
I'm not considering Koharu, Suwama or Masaomi because they're not recurring like the other rivals.

Let's see.
=========================================
In terms of Ash's Pokemon. This is how I would rank them.
1. Krookodile
Will beat Iris' Dragonite and it's moveset is pretty solid. Crunch, Dig, Stone Edge, and the future (and likely) Dragon Claw. He is reminding me of Sinnoh League-Gliscor.
2. Pignite
Gets pretty impressive wins. Only if he can replace Tackle for a fighting-type move though.
3. Pikachu
He's starting to get back a bit of DP strength.
4. Leavanny
Weak moveset but has been very useful in the few types he's been used. He hasn't been the fall guy yet. Always taking down something before he falls.
5. Boldore
Boldore has a sold moveset. Is strong and dependable although sometimes has weird losses.
6. Oshawott
He has a bland moveset but is equal on his competency and his failures. Needs to learn a better move other than Tackle.
7. Snivy
Bland moveset. She was shown strong in the beginning but now she is shown has frail and couldn't survive one cut from Servine (unless plot hax happens).
8. Scraggy
Has gotten pretty strong. Strong moves but still needs to master Focus Blast.
9. Unfezant
She's in her final form and she's iffy. She needs more endurance. It seems she tires easily. Her moveset is so bland and weak, although her game move list is bad as well. She should learn a stronger move like Sky Attack or perhaps even heat Wave.
10. Palpitoad
Barely used, although he is strong. He can be seen as the weakest link in the group. He did beat Zebstrika but tired too easily. vs Garbodor was sad. Palpitoad should have gotten a win here.
======================================
In terms of Iris' pokemon.
1. Dragonite
There is no doubt he is the strongest. They made him too powerful for my tastes. Basically perfect moveset.
2. Excadrill
Her starter, its obvious he's strong. Solid moveset.
3. Emolga
She is strong but has yet to learn a flying type move.
4. Axew
They try to make it suddenly powerful by giving it freakishly strong moves without on-screen training and as last resort moves that it's hard to take this thing seriously. In one episode its a baby but suddenly in some fights its "grown up." It's almost as the writer's can't decide what to do with him.
======================================
Cilan's pokemon
1. Crustle
One of the strongest pokemon in the cast, was even sued to make Trip's Serperior look even stronger.
2. Pansage
Pansage and Stunfisk are a close match but I say Pansage is the stronger of the two only by a bit.
3. Stunfisk
Has an awesome moveset, but most of the times the writers just use it as a joke. It took 70+ episodes until it got it's first win.
========================================
Trip's Pokemon
It's hard to judge his pokemon as we haven't seen most of them in a long time so...
1. Serperior
Basically, it's tied with Dragonite on the most overpowered pokemon in the cast. Beats three fire types and Cilan's Crustle in the tournament. Although i have to question leer in this moveset.
2. Conkeldurr
Weakest Pokemon so far. Timburr lost to Oshawott, Gurdurr lost to Dwebble, and Conkeldurr lost to Emboar. This is Paul's Weavile. Keeps losing but is still shown as "strong."
==========================================
Bianca's Pokemon
1. Emboar
It's her starter, it beat two gym leaders on its own, lasted the longest vs Elesa, and beat Trip's Conkeldurr and Georgia's Bisharp. Definitely her strongest pokemon.
2. Escavalier
For some reason it gives me Excadrill vibes. From the one fight we saw, it seemed pretty strong. Who knows how far it has come since then.
3. Minccino
Shown as strong, and it even has Thunderbolt. That's like Pikachu strong now. Although we have yet to see it in battle since the Club Battle.
=======================================
Stephan
1. Sawk
Definitely one of the strongest pokemon on the main cast. It's wins never felt too forced and Stephan constantly talks about how he and Sawk trained under intense conditions.
2. Zebstrika
Haven't seen much of it lately but yeah.
========================================
Georgia
1. Beartic
Her starter. It's good but not amazing. Lost to Dragonite plot hax.
2. Bisharp
Pretty awesome. OHKO'd a Druddigon.
3. Vanilluxe
Have yet to see her battling skills.
==========================================
Burgundy
1. Dewott
Her starter, pretty cool moveset. Just needs an extra umph.
2. Stoutland
Pretty okay.
3. Sawsbuck
Was Pansage's play toy.
4. Darmanitan
Battling skills not yet known. Lost to Serperior plot hax.
=============================================
Serperior is without a doubt the strongest of them all, I'd say it's easily at drapion's level if not torterra/electivire's level.
Sawsbuck was clearly overpowered by Cilan's strategy as well as Dewott. One just suffered less due to it being her starter and being better trained.
Serperior was/will be consistently glorified in the cup. Darmanitan's loss was just so they can showcase how strong Trip was now who then OHKO'd another fire type in the following round. They didn't even give it a chance to show any battle moves
Oh my god I forgot Palpitoad, my bad:
1. Krookodile
2. Pikachu
3. Leavanny
4. Pignite
5. Boldore
6. Snivy / Palpitoad
7. Oshawott / Scraggy
9. Unfezant

Burgundy constantly receives the short end of the stick.
She has put up decent fights against Iris and Ash, showing that both her Stoutland and Dewott are strong. But no matter how good a fight she puts up, she will always be screwed over and lose. Especially vs. Trip, her Darmanitan didn't do anything basically. She has a cool, balanced team with a lot of potential but the writers need to take her more serious in order for her to win anything at all.
I'd rank her team like this:
1. Dewott
2. Stoutland
3. Sawsbuck/Darmanitan
As for Ash's team, I'd rank it like this when it comes to strength and potential:
1. Pignite
2. Pikachu
3. Leavanny
4. Krookodile
5. Snivy
6. Palpitoad
7. Boldore
8. Unfezant
9. Oshawott
10. Scraggy
Iris:
1. Dragonite
2. Excadrill
3. Axew
4. Emolga
Cilan:
1. Crustle
2. Pansage
3. Stunfisk, it's still really strong though
Overall I'd consider Cilan's team to be the most consistent when it comes to (average) strength. All of his pokémon are well trained. Iris's team needs the most work.
So it'd be like:
1. Cilan
2. Ash
3. Iris
with rivals it'd be like this (average team's strength):
1. Cilan
2. Ash
3. Trip
4. Stephan
5. Georgia
6. Iris
7. Burgundy
8. Bianca

I disagree with most of the posts on this thread. Personally i could see Stephan beating Trip. The fight sawk put up is more impressive than any of Trips pokemon i could see it beating serperior and the rest of trip's team is a joke except for frillish which hasnt got any sceen time sice the 5v5 battle.
This is based on overall performance not sceen time or the last battle.
Ash
1. Krookadile
2. Pignite
3. Pickachu
4. Leavanny
5. Snivy
6. Boldore
7. Palpitoad
8. Unfezant
9/10. Oshawott/Scraggy (Don't rule this guy out yet, Scraggy could very well be the unova leagues Gible or Kingler)
Stephan
1. Sawk (thing's a beast)
2. Zebstrika (powerful likkle horsey)
Bianca
1. Emboar
2. Escavalier
3. Mincinno
Trip
1. Serperior
2. Frillish
3. Conkeldurr
4. Tranquill
5. Lampent
6. Vanillite
Georgia
1. Beartic
2. Bisharp
3. Vanilluxe
Cilan
1. Crustle (arguably the strongest pokemon is best wishes saga)
2. Pansage
3. Stunfisk
Iris
1.Dragonite
2.Excadrill
3.Emolga
4.Stunifsk
Burgundy
1. Dewott
2. Stoutland

I don't know, Unfezant is pretty terrible. At least Oshawott and Scraggy can actually, you know, defeat their opponents.
