    That is old.
Well, I trust your instinct Leaf, and since that short was made so long ago it sounds like it would be the right answer.
    Thanks for your help!

Regis, I'm going to go ahead and agree with leafstormfire on this one, and say A) Luxo Junior, final answer.

You ought to thank her, she's right!

Of the following Pixar animated shorts, which one was made the earliest?
    A. Luxo Jr. B. Geri's Game
    C. Knick Knack D. Lifted

    $2,000

    [CUE, APPLAUSE]

    [50:50][---][---][X2]
    $1 MILLION
    $500,000
    $250,000
    $125,000
    $64,000
    $32,000
    $16,000
    $8,000
    $4,000 <---
    $2,000
    $1,000

    [CUE]

To double that, here's your $4,000 question...

    [CUE]

If a vote in the U.S. Senate ends in a tie, who makes the deciding vote?
    A. The President B. The Vice-President
    C. The Chief Justice D. Secretary of State

    Woo hoo! Thanks leaf!

Hm.. now I don't know much about politics, let alone American politics.. I didn't want to be "that guy" but I may need to use another lifeline on this one haha.
I'm going to see if I can talk it out first..

(not sure how the 50/50 works so I'll leave names out for now so I don't somehow influence which ones are taken out)

Maybe that one.. seems like a decision they would have to make.. maybe?
I don't think that one would be it.. seems like it could be easily biased, although I suppose they all could..
I'm thinking maybe that one.. really sure on their role but that could possibly be it..
Don't think they would have anything to do with it.. though it could be some weird twist and they could.. HMM???

I think I will use my 50/50 for this one.

(ah okay lol. also sorry, been super busy with work and school, haven't had much time to do much else, blah)

    Yesss!
It's the one I was thinking more or less that it would be and the one I thought would totally not be it.

Here's hoping that it's going to be B) The Vice-President, final answer...

    *fingers crossed*

Good hunch... you've doubled your money!

    (insert correct answer graphic here)

    $4,000

    [CUE]

    [---][---][---][X2]
    $1 MILLION
    $500,000
    $250,000
    $125,000
    $64,000
    $32,000
    $16,000
    $8,000 <---
    $4,000
    $2,000

    $1,000

    [CUE; LIGHTS DIM ACCORDINGLY]

You're about halfway to the million; you still have the Double Dip, and that could help as we go for $8,000!

Oh, yes! Whew, that one got me nervous.

I'm pretty sure of this one, based on spelling bees I've seen on.... family channel and in cartoons. :P
Also that video that went viral about that kid who couldn't figure out what the word 'heron' was. Ha! You see that one Reg? It was hilarious.

So with that, I'm going to go ahead and save my lifeline and say D) Synonyms, final answer.

Who needs suspense, you're right for $8,000!

    (graphic)

    $8,000

    [CUE]

    [---][---][---][X2]
    $1 MILLION
    $500,000
    $250,000
    $125,000
    $64,000
    $32,000
    $16,000 <---
    $8,000
    $4,000
    $2,000

    $1,000

    [CUE]

Two questions to $32,000, here's the first of them...

    [CUE]

The color vermillion is a shade of which of the following basic colors?
    A. Red B. Green
    C. Blue D. Yellow

*throws hands in the air* I KNOW THIS ONE!!!

...and then I go and second-guess myself.
I thought that I knew this one because the "ver" in the it leads me to think "verte" which means green in French.. but I don't actually know for a fact what colour that vermillion is.. I wonder if that's a different language?

Now that I think about it though, that's probably not right..
It's also a song so that probably added to my excitement.
    Hmm...

    Maybe.. I'll use my double-dip?
    Not sure..
If I get it wrong I'll go down to $1000 right?

That's right; also keep in mind that if you Double Dip, you're committed to playing out the question. What do you want to do?

    Hurm...

As much as I'd love to stay and continue playing, I'm just not sure enough on what the answer would be.. I have 2 that I'm thinking it could be but I have no clue whatsoever, not even a hunch.
Wish I would have gone with my gut on the kangaroo one! Heh.

So, I wanna say thank you Regis [Doctor Who] for giving me this opportunity, I had a lot of fun in the hot seat, but it's time for someone else to play so I'm gonna run with the money, final answer!

My first guess was green, and if I would have used the double-dip I would have gone with yellow as well.

    (supportive applause)

You've won $8,000, though, and I hope that money will help you make new discoveries in your work, give a big hand for Dinosaurus, everyone!

    [BYE-BYE CUE]

    TOTAL WINNINGS

(Regis is back at the entrance area)

Well, here's hoping we hear from her soon about an amazing discovery! For now, though, it's back to the nine people who have their eyes on the prize, so here we go with the next fastest finger!

Well, currently I'm surprised that my strategy worked. It was literally me just knowing A was the first so I went in backwards alphabetical order. I'm also excited to start, Doctor.
