    Default Stallker/Tank Gliscor: wich one?

My current team is made of T-tar, Conkeldurr, Togekiss, Garchomp, Empoleon (or sometimes Heatran) and Gliscor.

The matter comes down to which set would work better for him, the Poison Heal @ Toxic Orb or the Sand Veil @ Leftovers. The movesets are the following:

    1. GLISCOR - Poison Heal @ Toxic Orb
    • Substitute
    • Ice Fang
    • Earthquake
    • Protect

    2. GLISCOR - Sand Veil @ Leftovers
    • Substitute
    • Ice Fang / Toxic
    • Earthquake
    • Toxic / Protect / Rest (?)

The Poison Heal set has been working wonders for me, but I've been messing around with the Sand Veil set and I've got mixed results; sometimes I rely on the evasion to protect me as I dish out damage, sometimes I get to Have Protect and Toxic to wear the foes down... I'm kinda lost here.

What Gliscor would you suggest or use under a Sand Storm?
Which moves and EVs would you get for the 2nd set?

    Thanks in advance!

Use the Sand Veil set in-game. Toxic stalling isn't so great in-game.

Serperior is best left supportive. Emboar is...

    Moves:
    Flare Blitz
    Scald
    Wild Charge
    Superpower/Hammer Arm/Brick Break.

Can anyone please help me with an in-game, mixed set for a Blaziken with the Blaze ability? I'm particularly unsure about the EV's. Do I need more speed?
I will not try to breed for Hidden Power or Agility.

    I'm thinking something like this:

    Blaziken@?
    Blaze
    Rash/Mild
    252 Att / 252 SAtt / 6 Spe
    - Flamethrower
    - Focus Blast
    - Thunder Punch/Stone Edge/Blaze Kick

Replace Ice Fang with Toxic. He is a great Defensive Wall.

    Using the Sand Veil Gliscor?
Would he be au par with the Poison Heal one, competitively speaking, under a Sand Storm?

Ice fang is a great move for gliscor, i would sugest either have sub or protect and not both and replace one with toxic, this is because they both do the same thing and it'd be a waste to use up two moves, the poison staller is pretty geat though, id suggest maybe using either toxic or swords dance, maybe even arcrobatics but yeah i wouldn't go with protect and sub. just my suggestion

Why not go with Protect + Sub? With Toxic Orb and Poison Heal, you can stall out your opponent very easily. This Gliscor is meant to stall, not do damage much.

@Lolsgod: I understand what you're saying, but Subs + Protect work wonders with Poison Heal and Toxic. Those are paired together turn Gliscor into a real Pain to take out.

I've been using the EQ / Subs / Protect / IF set just coz' I had trouble dealing with steel types and gengar, but the Toxic set is surelly great!

yeah i gotcha, i meant the toxic would be good to tac on to the list somewhere cuz theres nothing like poison to light the fire under an opponents butt and make he even more frustrated when he can't hit you and his carry is dying of poison

Me implying this thread still gets updated:

Braviary @ Life Orb / Leftovers
    Keen Eye / Sheer Force
    Adamant
    252 Atk / 252 Spe / 6 HP
    - Brave Bird
    - Return
    - Rock Slide
    - Bulk Up / Shadow Claw
Put Superpower slashed alongside Rock Slide or Shadow Claw. Flying+Fighting is awesome.

    And no Drifblim set. wat.

    Drifblim @ Flying Gem
    Unburden
    Lonely
    128 Atk / 128 Def / 128 Spatk / 128 Spdef
    - Acrobatics
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunderbolt
    - Will-o-Wisp / Hidden Power [Fighting]

For the record, it's actually better for Drifblim to split the defences rather than lump it in HP.
Acrobatics. A STAB 220 power Agility basically and is still a lovely 110 power STAB afterwards. Shadow Ball as secondary STAB. Thunderbolt as an attempt at coverage. Will-o-Wisp because it's the only thing left bar Hidden Power [Fighting].

I suppose you could also use a Calm Mind set with CM | Shadow Ball | Thunderbolt | Hidden Power [Ice/Fighting] / Icy Wind? Drifblim desperately wants Air Slash, and definitely makes better use of it than Samurott or Leavanny.

    Question Stat help, anyone?

(I have just beaten Clay and Team Plasma, if this helps, and I'm using White 2)

I have been training up pokemon that I am gonna use for a wi-fi team, in-game, (first time doing so) and with minimal EV training, adding the odd swift wing, genius wing etc, and of to no avail. However, I am training a Trapinch, in want of a flygon, and here is my problem. It has an adamant nature, and quite good stats... until you reach its speed stat. Here are what trapinch's current stats stand at:

    Trapinch lv. 30

    Ability: Arena Trap

    HP: 71/71
    Attack: 77
    Defense: 33
    Sp.Atk: 29
    Sp.Def: 37
    Speed: 12

... so the question of the month is, should I scrap it, or is there any way I can turn it's EV's around? I am looking for a physical sweeper type mix, but I don't think, given the current stats, that it will be very fast. I'd rather not get rid of it though, as its quite a high level poke, considering I also need these guys in game. If it helps, I can list my other pokes that I'm using as well. And does anyone know a good moveset for serperior? I had all three starters in my white game, and I couldn't find it a good moveset?

Maybe your trapinch has 0 speed IVs. I would evolve it first, because trapinch has low base speed

Absol can use Superpower too , so that it gets nearly unresisted coverage.

As for Serp , it can do a variety of things , but Growth l Giga Drain l Dragon Pulse l Aqua Tail is an interesting set to use. Otherwise , SubSeeding is also fun.

I am planning on using a Nidoking while getting some of the challenge Medals on Black 2 and am wondering if this is a good set.
    Nidoking @ Life Orb
    Sheer Force
    Adament
    4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    - Bulldoze
    - Poison Jab
    - Rock Slide
    - Thunder Punch

I will probably also use him in the subway and PWT. I want four moves that Sheer Force boosts because I read that the boost will prevent the Orbs recoil and these are the four I liked but I am open to suggestions.

Poison Jab is pretty bad tbh. You have EQ for your STAB needs anyway. Aqua Tail > Posion Jab to hit those Bulky grounds harder. Ice Punch is an alternative if you'd prefer BoltBeam coverage

Before the Life Orb, just with Stab and Sheer Force Poison Jab has 156 base power w/ 100 accuracy, very good. EQ and Aqua Tail do NOT trigger SF so I would be gauranteed recoil which I plan to aviod like the plague. Finally Bulky Ground types will be annihilated by my lvl 100 Iron-Fist/Expert Belt/Ice Punch Golurk. This is primarily for the Elite Four so the only ground type that comes to mind is Whats-His-Face's Krokodile.

While his Spatk is lower, Nidoking' special movepool is much better. So how about this:

    Nidoking @ Life Orb
    Modest
    Sheer Force
    4 HP / 252 Spatk / 252 Spd
    -Sludge Bomb / Thunderbolt
    -Earth Power
    -Flamethrower / Thunderbolt
    -Ice Beam

All moves listed get a Sheer Force boost, and pretty much any combination of these 5 should work as long as you have Earth Power. They're all TM moves bar Earth Power, so just try out different combos.

Mixed set is probably better so you don't get Walled by something like Blissey.

    • Nidoking @ Life Orb
    • Naive
    • Sheer Force
    • 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    - Earth Power
    - Superpower
    - Ice Beam / Flamethrower
    - Thunderbolt / Flamethrower

This set aims to nail Blissey / Chansey while still keeping power.
