    Did he really mention Orre? If so, that's the second time that Orre has been mentioned in the Anime. Was he upset about missing the tournament?

    Who actually believed that Trip would win? Serperior is powerful, but it's freaking Bouffalant who has Sap Sipper in-game on his team so it's expected that ability would be shown off on Alder's in the anime, since I don't think that ability has been showcased yet.

    Now if it was Serperior vs anything that wasn't Volcarona/Bouffalant, I can understand why people would assume he would win against Alder. But did anyone expect Paul to beat Cynthia? Obviously not since even his current, fully evolved team of his best pokemon probably won't beat her (but may or may not defeat Garchomp). Point is, just because Alder acted ridiculous during his debut doesn't take away from the fact that he is a champion so he HAD to be powerful otherwise it would be stupid.
