I wonder why they didn't have fossil Pokemon in Gen 2? :C Maybe it's to do with the location so close to Kanto, but still most of the regions apart from Unova are kinda close. DX
Could be. I don't remember much of Gen 2, were there no fossils at all in the game or just no new ones?
Either way, it's a shame.
Just another generic signature.
Well my favorite is obviously Armaldo. Cause it's based on my favorite prehistoric animal.

I can't decide between Kabutops, Aerodactyl, and Bastiodon ;/
Aerodactyl. Used it as my 4th gen lead and it still has a spot on my monoflying team.
Archeops, for their base attack is 140 that is why their ability does only harm instead of good. The rocky birds almost match zekroms strength
Sieldon is a fossile Pokemon?! It never really occurred to me. Anyway i'm not a fan of fossil Pokemon, but out of all of them, Lileep and Cradily would be my favorites.
Aerodactyl is probably my favorite of the bunch, but I also really like Cranidos/Rampardos as well as Archen/Archeops, too!

I love that Lileep and Cradily are in the lead. They're so amazing, but have pretty poor movepools. I would like fossils to have like a "natural" form, where rock is replaced by a second elemental type.
E.g. Natural Lileep Water/Grass
It would be nice to have Almaldo as a Water/Bug, Surskit needs some company.

January 8th, 2012: Pokémon X and Y announced. Seriously angry.
Some think its the result of being fossilised, which I assume would mean the original pokemon were different than todays revived versions,
I however think its because of being Rock type that they were well enough preserved in the first place, which would mean they were exactly the same back then as they do now.
