Wielder of the Red Lightning/Dark Lance
The red-lightning wielder traded blows left and right. The dark prince shuffled skillfully, whipped his lance from its case, and pierced. He thrust out his dark lance with his hand tightly clenched around the black-steel handle and drilled the nearest humanoid in the chest. Hunter quickly pulled out his weapon, black liquid gushing out of the puncture, and swung backwards to cut in half yet another. He found himself back-to-back with Stella. "You've little to no coordination," he said, "at this rate you'll be killed." Before he could give her a chance to reply, Hunter back-flipped over her, shot her a quick glance and charged her shield with a tap before sprinting away.
Milly was stopped in her tracks by an abrupt tug. It was Michel. He had taken her bait. She burst into his arms and dug her face into his chest. "Michel, I was so scared, I didn't want to do this but... but..." she cried uncontrollably, almost sarcastically and then her demeanor flipped. "But you make it so easy..." she whispered into his ear, her tongue flicking his neck. She retracted the knife from his back. "Oh so easy..." She smirked before bolting away and disappearing once more.
Diego's powerful water drill split before it could impact the Lorde of Darkness. An invisible, impenetrable shield protected him. Then the oddest thing happened. Raseo's image seemed to blink. Hunter quickly took notice, his gaze set on the Dark Avatar after having traced Diego's attack. Something wasn't right and Hunter knew it.
A gentle stream of water lead Seya to safety. The Blue Flame Guardian wasted no seconds trying to reach through but Seya remained motionless. She lifted her gaze but her eyes faltered. Just when they thought Seya was completely gone, her lips jerked upward. "...Zuri, don't you see? This world was never alive... Everything is an illusion." There was an evident break in her tone, a slight knot wrapped around her throat that prevented her from speaking coherently. "I'm so sorry, Zuri," she said, her eyes dropping to the cold ground,"everyone is dead..." Hunter bolted to the scene; he stood next to Zuri as she questioned Seya. "Tell me witch, that man up there... Who is that?" He referred to the image of Raseo. It troubled Hunter that he had shown but not as much as the apathy in his form. This entire planet would've been destroyed before Raseo even touched the atmosphere. It just didn't add up. Seya's gaze remained glued to the ground, from the edge of her vision she could see Hunter's and Zuri's feet. "...It isn't real, it's dark magic... It's only an illusion..." she revealed. Hunter stepped to Diego's corpse. "...His death... was it all in vain?" Hunter asked, the tone of his voice no warmer than his expression. A tear eased its way down Seya's left cheek, she was at a loss for words. It took her a second but managed to regain her composure. "Nothing is in vain, Hunter..." The unlikely ally contemplated, he looked up at the world around him, everything was reduced to dark sludge. There was no trace of anything anymore just dark matter and a few humanoids remaining. "... Witch, was it Mildred?" He asked. Seya simply nodded in response. Hunter crouched, closed Diego's eyes with the tip of his index and ring fingers and bolted away. He couldn't do anything for those who had passed but he could still fight for those alive. Caroline, he thought.
Hunter quickly arrived on scene. He positioned himself on Carly's right, far enough to avoid her tornadoes but well within vocal range. "Caroline. I apologize but I will not allow you to go into battle without my aid." He wasn't sure why he felt so inclined to go out of his way for her but he just did. Something about her was different, he could see from the moment he laid eyes on her. Back when he was on the other side of the war. That day she braved him and defied him. She wasn't afraid. He remembered how he pulled her against him and made it clear not to touch him. But now...? Hunter gripped his right forearm with his left hand and charged incredible amount of power. His eyes glowed red and cracked. The air around him snapped and crackled. Second later, Hunter torpedoed right at the clay monster, the impulse so powerful it cratered a hole in the ground as he darted forward. With colossal force, Hunter violently smashed his fist into the creatures face only to go right through the beast like knife does through butter. No immediate effect. It took the former Phantom a second to realize that as he had gone right through, the monster had managed to latch on to his leg with a noodle of clay. The monster whipped Hunter around before slamming him repeatedly against the ground. Despite managing to absorb the first few blows with his lance, the last few slams were direct hits. The clay beast hurled Hunter across some couple hundred yards.
Hunter stood up and shook the blood from his forehead. Just then the entire world blinked like if someone had flipped the switch. Hunter looked up only to see that Raseo or rather his image was no longer there. The magic... must've worn off... he thought. But they still had the humanoids, the clay monster and more importantly Milly to take care of. Problem was Milly was nowhere to be seen. Hunter gripped his dark lance and walked toward the enemy with the darkest intent.
