But... I'd rather see Bayleef evolving to Meganium, after all, Satoshi needs another powerhouse (Yes, I know Meganium isn't that good in the games, but still).

Or maybe Heigani evolving to Shizariger? After all, the writers decided to give a lot of Dark-Type Pokémon to Satoshi in this series and it would work as a powerhouse as well.

Sorry to say this but what the others say is correct. No matter what you think, or how the Pokemon were portrayed, the fact remains that the Unova League Team is just as viable to win the league in the standpoint of the series's writer as his old ones. They might make him lose but not without a good fight. Unfortunate to say this but Ash need not use his old Pokemon to win according to the mindset of the creator of this series, however impracticable it is. Your viewpoint is more practical because you feel his Unova team is inferior, but in the end all of that won't matter to the plot.

I am not contradicting you, but I just want to tell that your opinion is wrong in the sense that the writer is not having the same opinion as you, and hence by extension you are wrong.

Then again I don't know what the show people have in mind, but I(like many others) am making an educated guess about what happens. So yes his Unova team is ready (in a nonsensical sense).

Pidove gets KO'd multiple times in the beginning, evolves and does nothing until the 6th gym, where she wins and then get's KO'd by a Koffing. Also she wins against two weak trainers along with Pansage. Wins- 2, Losses -4
Oshawott Loses to a Roggenrola and multiple fire types after mastering Aqua Jet, also hasn't won since Clay, mostly just appears to be beaten to a pulp
Snivy Last battle was against those morons in that episode with the Cinccino, and she wasn't even fighting with Ash.
Scraggy Not good enough for the league
Boldore Not good enough for the league
Palpitoad Not good enough for the league

So no, it is a fact that his Unova pokemon are not good enough to get him far in the league, and it's only YOUR opinion that they are.

I love on how people just count the bad of what happened to his Pokemon but never the good.

He still doesn't have a pretty good team. Better than back in Johto where barely none of his elemental(fire, water) pokemon evolved. And who says that Palpitoad isn't any good for the league? Look at Krabby not being trained at all managed to take down that dues whole team and evolve. Who's to say the same thing won't happen?

No, they are incorrect. I showed them what Ash's pokemon are capable and incapable of, and they gave crappy desperate arguments.

And you really aren't in any place to say the writers disagree with me, when they'll most likely have Ash lose again.

The problem is, it doesn't' matter if what his Pokemon are capable and not capable of. You are confusing between fiction and real sports. They can make anything happen. We were shown many such things earlier in the anime. His so called crappy Pokemon were shown to be surprisingly strong. I believe Oshawott is at least is as good as Corphish if not less. His team is definitely not inferior to any of his other teams...except the odd Sinnoh League team, perhaps.

It's YOUR opinion that they aren't ready. Unfezant, Leavanny, Pignite, Snivy, Boldore, Krookodile, & Palpitoad are ready for the League. I have yet to see Oshawott's strength after learning Hydro Pump, so I don't know about him. Phanpy was newly hatched in Johto, just prior to the 7th Gym & it was still able to get a win in the Johto League. Scraggy was hatched just after the 2nd Gym, so it's definitely capable of getting a win in the Unova League.
