Attract is the only reason it even beat Servine. It was clearly overpowering Snivy from the begining, and didn't even get hit by her until Attract was used.

Why do people think pokemon have to get revenge on others for losing in the past?

In certain cases I would say a pokemon needs to. Like Excadrill and Haxorus due to the Consequences of there previous battle but most times they don't and people do take the concept to far

Snivy humilated Servine with Attract and in the next battle Servine got revenge by a critical hit Cut on her after blocking her Attract.

Pignite has nothing to be ashamed of after he stood up to Shamus.

Pikachu can knock Serperior out but he has shown his strength to Trip.

True. And not all of Ash's Pokemon that lose to Trip's have rivalries with one another. Can't it just be a loss between trainers like the old days. It wasn't personal.

Honestly, it's because we forget about Tepig now that it's a Pignite. Pignite also gets to battle much more often then Snivy.. and with Snivy we need that 'oh yeah, it's okay'-moment.. Whereas with Pignite we have 'it can take the fall now'-moments..

Oshawott was also thrashed by Tranquil, but guess people tend to forgive this moment because he beat Trip's Timburr (which has yet to win a battle)

Dwebble is part Rock too you know...otherwise I have no idea what Bug type your talking about

Tie was unfortunate, but the obvious outcome since Ash isn't allowed to beat his main rival before the league (in a true battle).

Also, Snivy was unable to land a single hit against Servine in their second battle (also the first time as people said until Attract) and was OHKOed by Cut of all attacks. Not saying Snivy was more humiliated, but your underplaying what really went on there. If you consider Snivy taking a blow for Tepig as a lost on his part, then Snivy would have lost to Pawniard had it not been by complete accident that she got stunk in the ground.

Roasted Alive Beef does not need revenge against Salad Snake. It is nothing personal. It is not like all the other opponents hit Salad Snake anyway and Roasted Beef lasted the longest of all of them. Besides PLOT ARMOR was with Salad Snake until Alder's Boufflant-Wings-not-ready-yet owned him.

I personally would like to see Fast Flying Pidgeon Wings or Veggie Bug defeat the Salad snake. But it is likely Electric-Mouse-on-a-Stick.

Was generally leaning toward a new move.. I only once said that if any will evolve before the league, that Snivy had a good chance due to purely being the title.. Otherwise I would've never speculated Snivy evolving eitherway..

Hey there's only so many of these the budget will allow for. Obviously any important episodes will get one and the rest is divvied up among the less important ones. avoiding the f word to be politically correct on these boards here. So the daycare just got lucky at snivy's expense.
