Why though? It's much more important for the main characters to rack up wins especially with the league coming up. And if they indeed have a rematch and Palpitoad and Stunfisk are used I don't see why anyone would pay a single bit of attention to these one shot characters when something amazing like that is happening. But to each their own I guess.

COTD development is always pointless, no matter how you look at it. Might as well make our mains look better. And they could get smashed easily in the first match, then come close to winning the 2nd, showing their progress, this has been done with main characters too. Like the episode where Ash left Gliscor. He got stomped, trained, tried again and still lost, but proved his capabilities.

From the Smash preview, the battles look good. Wargle looks great evading that attack and the animation looks cool too, the twins seem entertaining enough for one-shot character. There intro sorta reminds me of one of TR's mottos, I'm still pretty middle road on this episode. I really do hope the battle is good though, as much as I would have preferred Maggyo and Gamagaru over Yanappu and Kenharou. I hope we get a good battle out of this and some nice training for Kenharou.
