Playing pokemon - How old are you?

Playing since RBY, still not tired The games are still fun to play especially with all the different mechanics they have. And the whole Pokémon concept is just appealing.

I'm 14. I don't know if you noticed this, but 6 years ag approx., back when i was sort of 7,8 maybe 9, pokemon was the coolest thing ever. Now, if you like pokemon you are a loner. Somuch changes in such short time.

I turn 21 in June, so I've seen it all. I've been playing Pokemon since Generation I hit the U.S. back in 98-99 (my first game was Pokemon Yellow). The Pokemon craze back then was insane, such precious memories. Watching the Original Series every day after school, evening news reports on the games nearly every night, and getting Pokeballs in your Burger King Kids Meals (before they got recalled). Ah, those were the days.......

Believe it or not, Generation V is actually what brought me back to the franchise (I stopped playing Pokemon altogether from the ages of 11-19, with the exception of replaying Pokemon Silver over one summer). Generation V just brought me back to that Gen I sense of wonder and excitement.

I know how you feel. I haven't been playing that long, the first games were out when i was born, but i get nostalgic thinking about the old stuff. It's amazing how far things have come since then. However, as i get older there are less and less people who play pokemon, where did the world go wrong? Now people prefer Black ops over pokemon, but if people just went back to the games they would realise how awesome they are.

14, and theres nothing at all wrong with this. Whos to say what age a game is for, the company make the game to make money, and that is what happens. Who to say who buys it, i know there are lots of older players than me too. I love it and it'll be like that for a while =D

27. Remember Pokemon being this TV show that I thought was cool back in 1999. We were moving from Texas to North Carolina and my parents picked me up Blue and I played that game the entire trip on my dad's grey gameboy from the 80s. I started playing again with Diamond and Pearl, I pick up the new games when I can, lots of fun when you travel or on the metro. Would not mind getting into competitive battling.

Well, not bad but I would definitely die in competitive battles. I mean, I'm good enough not to white out during the adventure/E4/after-game, but I would not go into competitive battles. In matches vs my friends my win/lose ratio can be pretty balanced, but even then we don't use well thought-out teams, movesets and items.
